Let's see your 200's!

Thanks! The buttons are machined from Kirinite which is an acrylic that is typically used for gun handles or knife scales. They make a bunch of interesting colors and patterns.

The Evolv 510 is really nice ... but ... it can be a bit of a challenge installing the small inside snap ring.

Nice! :thumb: @jonnimac. I wish I have access CNC machine :(

Thanks! I started down the CNC path about a year ago by taking a 4 day class at Tormach. It is far more complicated and expensive than I ever imagined. After 8 months of owning the machine I finally feel like I'm making some good progress.

Now I just need to order my board and do some test fitting! I ordered a Turnigy 950 Lipo just in case the 1300 don't fit cuz it's tight!

Wick.. that is butiful.. i am realy into that kind of thing,, i have a sheet of bur walnut been sat under some books since last year, i need to find someone with, i think its a cnc machine to grind a gbox sides so i can inlay the same, awsome work..

Thank you!! Yes anyone competent with a milling machine (manual or cnc) could machine a recess for inlayed wood panels, as long as theres some thickness to work with. Best, Wick

What do you mean sliding doors?  I have done a fair bit of stabilized wood skins on a metal frame, but the door issue is always a PITA.  Love to see what you came up with.  Great looking mod and though I have made all my current vape gear, I would love a PM if you decide to make a batch.

looks like a sliding batt door. could be wrong tho.

Thank you!! Aluminum sliding door, indistinguishable from the fixed case side. Think "BB" style, there's some intricate machining going on here. THIN, but incredibly strong. Noted, will PM when I run. Best, Wick

It was James Dean, but when i went to cf wrap and put better up/down buttons, i shorted the chip. I've decided that hard-wiring batteries is a no-no.  I'm now using the venom 1300 35c (85*30*19.5mm) in this mod and in my copper 1590g, perfect fit for both and a better battery than those squishy turnigys, wrapped the battery to match the mod and have an extra sliding lid that you can change out. Can you get the exact measurement in mm of the battery? I will be ordering the same one and need to know if it's any bigger then listed.

batterydim.gif I don't have calipers so it's unscientific but i came up with (in mm) A=73 B=34 C=20. The website

http://www.buddyrc.com/glacier-45c-1300mah-3s-11-1v-lipo-battery.html
list the size as A=70 B=33 C=20. I read somewhere on a RC forum that the Glacier battery's were very reliable. I googled it and found the site above and saw that it was one of the smallest 1300 so i thought i would give it a shot in a 1590g case.
