  1. Thoughts.... I would think 16.8 is the max the board is expected to see.... There may be a safety margin built in (you would have to ask Evolv about that) ... so if it has safety margin then you want to use it and disregard safety??? Another thing is the onboard charge circuit.... can it charge to 17.4 volts???? the CSV curve for li-po shows 100% @ 4.2 v...... Does the battery manufacturer have a CSV curve file or do you have a CSV curve file for 100% at 4.35V ? How much extra vape time do you expect out of an additional .6 volts?
  2. You might backup your .ecig file and .ecigtheme file before making any changes. That way should you make a change and want to go back to the way you received the device you easily can do that by installing the backup file...

  4. The only time the device is off is when there are no batteries in it... it does "go to sleep" however to conserve battery. When connected to EScribe the configuration files are downloaded into EScribe so you can see, or change many things and then upload the configuration file back to the device. What do you mean by "clear the chip"? When you connect the device to EScribe nothing is erased,or changed. Here is a link to YouTube which gives one tutorial for EScribe ( the 75C and 250C basically work the same) ..... you can search YouTube for "EScribe" and find many more..
  5. There are many video's that may help on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=dna250c
  6. Evolv has a very good RMA procedure but it must be used for them to help you.... if you are good at this point then that's all that matters....
  7. My Evolv Darwin is over 8 years now..... still vapes as good as the 1st day.... Evolv has a 1 year warranty on their boards.... many things can cause issues like you have..... as stated you could start a ticket with Evolv and explain your situation.... they will guide you from there.... if you want to...???
  8. The theme design determines what is available to access on the device... You may be able to find what you want in the Download section of this forum.... make sure to backup your ecig and theme file before making any changes so you can restore them if needed.... https://forum.evolvapor.com/files/category/6-dna-75-color-250-color/
  9. In Escribe Device Monitor check the boxes shown on the left and vape. The graph will fill in....
  10. What are the net available dimensions of the box left for the battery now that you have the switch and 510 installed?
  11. Make sure to backup your ecig file before making any changes... so if you screw up something you can reinstall the original ecig file....
  12. The Color devices do not use button press combinations. The device can be locked with button presses that you can select in the theme. In order to change the wattage you highlight that field and push the select button and change the wattage with the up/down buttons.. If you have another field highlighted then the wattage won't change unless you highlight the wattage field and select it.
  13. A good forum member reminded me about a post made on May 4 and may help....: Some of you may have seen some of my posts about the “temp protect” message which was standard on most DNA boards before the COLOR versions. Since I liked it, and have been unable to ever see it on my DNA75C, I wrote James (Evolv), he is what he said: “Interesting, looking at the code you're right. Temp Protected only throws on Color as an error for overshoot/out-of-control and Ohms out-of-range. I don't have it operating as a warning. I've added that option to my To-Do list.” So perhaps the posters problem is related to one of those other errors. I vape TC all the time, I’m sure I’ve hit my temperature, but have NEVER seen a TP message on my color mod.
  14. Try turning down the pre-heat.... and you have temp set to 301C (574F)..... That pretty high temperature.... have you tried a different atty with a different coil? Do you get the same results.... have you checked for hot spots in the coil and is the coil spaces and not a contact coil? Let me check further on your temp protect discussion and I'll get back to you.... others may chime in also....
  15. Yes, I have seen a few posts along the way where this trickle you speak of is talked about.... none of my 7 DNA's do that during analyzer... I don't know if a trickle is figured into the analyzer function or not..... good question..... and i wonder how much difference it would make by just being 3 one-thousands of an amp? And could it be a design issue with the wiring/grounding/etc of the device?? Have a good one and let us know what goes with your analyzer ....
  16. Evolv's soft cell cutoff default setting is 2.75 Volts for the 75C ion batteries and 3.1 V for li-po......
  17. Yep, do let us know what you get with a 1/2 full battery to start.... The guy in the video you posted didn't say anything (unless I missed it) about starting with a battery at about 1/2 charged....
  18. You can always start a ticket with Evolv....Explain your concern and they will guide you.... Your battery was only 1/2 full when you started Analyzer right? What do you mean "one more time for the cheap seats"....?
  19. You can start a ticket with Evolv and explain your concern.... they will guide you.... Maybe something with the device wiring or the board.... hard to tell without having the device to troubleshoot.... Your battery was only 1/2 full when you started analyzer right?
  20. What is the soft cell cutoff set at? Do you have a lot of battery sag while firing? When your battery runs down what is the voltage level before you start trying to charge with usb??
  21. Can you post a picture of the screen and ribbon? Also the ziff connector....
  22. Make a backup copy of your ecig file before making any changes....I think you should be fine using it as a lot of folks do that....... best if you can run your own analyzer....
  23. From the screenshots it looks like the temperature you have set is being met with no excessive over-shoot.... you might unlock the ohm's.... I guess you checked your wicking... In Theme Designer does it have the following marked in red? If not then add it and upload....
