Lost Vape Paranormal dangerous overheat
dwcraig1 replied to Photo Pete's topic in General Discussion
I would think that the problem is before the board, battery sled, wiring, Ect. They do Lost Vape's warranty work as well as warrant the board, get help with it here if needed: https://helpdesk.evolvapor.com/index.php?a=add&category=1 -
Here for on board fire switch: https://www.ebay.com/itm/222560648352?var=&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

Two DNA200's displaying 'check atomiser' on the same day.

Assuming they worked OK before sitting I'd start by cleaning/polishing the end of the mod's 510 positive pin. If that doesn't do it I'd check the solder joints board to 510 looking for corrosion. Does Atomizer Analyzer show any connection?- 1 reply

Open a ticket with Evolv here: https://helpdesk.evolvapor.com/index.php?a=add&category=1 If it was mine I'd check the solder joints on the balance tap on the board looking for cold solder joints.
-
No, not there.

If using the INT firmware version there is a boost feature when material is set to Watts. You may get that to work to your liking.

Full charge on a LiPo is 4.2 so if that's correct there is a major problem. Go here for help with it: https://helpdesk.evolvapor.com/index.php?a=add&category=1

Does it show battery voltage?
-
That sounds like what it will do when then battery is too low to operate it. Perhaps the battery is at fault, check the voltage drop using EScribe's Device Monitor.
-
Yes I removed the board and put it in an SXK Boxer squonk. I then checked out the problem with the VTX's 510, the o-ring they used was too small.
-
Mine leaked badly from the 510 after about a week as many other users had reported.

The charger on the Go board will stop charging when the battery is full charged. As with any battery either in or out of the mod should never be charged unattended unless in a safe fire proof place.

Try removing device, close EScribe, connect device to computer and open EScribe again. A PM has been sent.
-
That screen is "Device Monitor". It can be run separate from the main EScribe , try and locate your main EScribe. Do you have a volt meter and a stand alone 18650 battery charger?

From what I see here your problem appears to be an unbalanced battery. That will stop the mod from firing as well as stop it from charging. In EScribe under the "Tools" tab /Diagnostics there is an option called "USB Recovery Charging", this allows the charging to start again and tries to balance the pack. It's a very slow process and may need to be started several times. The mod can be used while charging but it simply stops charging and switches to battery for the puff.
-
So what happens if you try to connect to EScribe?

Try to get it resolved here: https://helpdesk.evolvapor.com/index.php?a=add&category=1

https://forum.evolvapor.com/topic/66731-early-firmware-and-escribe-suite/?do=findComment&comment=929633 You may already have it, check under "Tools/ Update Firmware" in EScribe, choose latest international version (version 1.1 SP38 Int is the latest) EScribe2 SP19 INT (for Windows)
-
It needs to be powered by 3 cells not 2 . Must be using the international version of firmware ( not US version) Need to be using 30 amp cells as well.

Make sure the Replay box is checked in EScribe for the profile that your using. While your in EScribe take note if there is a difference between cold ohms and live ohms while firing when using Device Monitor.
-
While Replay isn't Temperature Control it does require wire that is used for Temperature Control. The resistance of the wire must change from cold to hot for Replay to work. Since Kanthal and Nichrome do not change resistance when heated they do not work for Replay.
