  1. "LV Paranormals have issues...https://forum.evolvapor.com/topic/69140-paranormal-75c-resistance-too-high-fix/ ... but the problem seems to persist across all Paranormals" @VapingDad I'd suggest you read the thread listed. 1st post and the last 3 posts. For your Oni, can you describe your coils, and a Printscreen (Device Monitor) while firing would help. Well, none of the shops I frequent have any clue about temp control either, and voice that opinion based on selling non DNA devices.
  2. Hmmm, before trying on Windows ............ So you can connect and do a restore which should be checking the validity of the configuration. Without making any changes at all ... can you then disconnect and reconnect without any errors, can you 'upload settings to device' without the error ? IMHO, if your answers are yes, it could be in what you are changing. Just for giggles, have you tried using the default evolv theme with your changes?
  3. Go to 1 of your 8 profiles. Click Load. Choose the one you just saved.
  4. Another user had this same issue yesterday. He found that by running escribe as an administrator solved the issue. YMMV. Please do report back either way. Welcome Have you tried to change anything with wires/material, or battery?
  5. I'm not reading your manual. If the coil is SS304, you should either download that material profile from Steam-Engine, or create a custom material using the TCR value from there. 304 has a higher TCR than 316 IIRC, so your temps will be wrong (lower)
  6. Did you check if your language was set to Autodetect? The workaround according to that thread was to set it to English. BTW, what version of escribe are you using?
  7. I don't think I've ever seen or heard of that error. 'Curve' would usually apply to material/wire. Did you possibly play with wire types? Or battery?
  8. First off, Evolv says a lower or more conservative value is better than being higher. They also say the lowest they've seen is .004 on their reference 510. Now having said all that, having personally tested 9, I get from .002 to .007 I have seen a virgin LostVape Paranormal file where .01 was configured, so who knows. At least we got COLOR <- Christmas Festive Theme
  9. Not sure which part you didn't understand, but i'll try. Your Smok mod is made by Smok. The menuing, key sequences to change modes, pretty much everything can be Smok specific. DNA boards are made by Evolv, and used by different manufacturers such as LostVape or HCigar, etc. Because the board in those is all the same (Evolv DNA), with the same menuing, key sequences, etc. this forum can help DNA users with issues or fine tuning. Your problem was a general vaper type issue, and was answered in a general manner. If I didn't answer your query, quote the section. Enjoy your mod. Edit: And the best part is a true 1 year warranty on the board/chip right here from Evolv.
  10. @Edgar We're all vapers here, and luckily your problem is now resolved. Having said that, this is DNA forum, where help is usually DNA specific. I have friends with your mod, but no clue how to change modes, etc. on it. Eventually, when you're ready to upgrade, these are fine boards, and as you've found, a low noise area dedicated to help resolve user issues. Cheers man, and vape on
  11. You gents do realize he said this
  12. Before doing anything. File -> Save As and save a copy of your entire current settings. Trust me. Custom screens. Download or create your own. Go to field (startup, ohms too xxxx, whatever) you want to change in escribe Hit Load Find new screen Upload to device.
  13. For an accurate battery icon, I'd suggest you run the 'Battery Analyzer' on the mod tab. Takes about an hour, your batteries at full, a fan, and an RDA. Guaranteed accurate for your batteries. Welcome
  14. I DON'T OWN ONE, BUT MOD TAB, BATTERY SECTION. SET CELLS FROM 3 TO 2 WILL GET IT WORKING. I'D SUGGEST YOU WATCH A TUTORIAL OR 2 TO BETTER UNDER STAND WHAT YOU'RE DOING. WELCOME.
  15. That's what you did. You kept loading the Evolv defaults, which is set for 3 batteries NOT 2.
  16. All my black tanks and RDA's work just peachy. All my black tanks and RDA's have shiny Stainless Steel 510 threading. No idea about the Azeroth.
  17. @DarkRitualz That's just the nature of SS. If both your mods read it the same resistance, what's the issue? Yes, I've seen it before with s****y Demon Killer wire and notch coils.
  18. Have you thought about the screen placement and actuators? Hopefully your battery sled is still intact without any cracks.
  19. I don't own one, but I read a comment that you might not need to. Or, if your seller won't help you, contact Evolv, help desk (another link I can't get at) as they handle LV repairs. Based in Ohio, USA.
  20. Search for posts by 'theswain' and probably 'paranormal'. Can't do it while typing. Welcome
  21. @James You're not gonna believe this. It's Tuesday Dec 5, 8pm. Linking up 3 non 75C devices are now showing December 6. You can check there, or I can give you a printscreen here. One 75, 200, and 250.
  22. All those are important, not just your wicking. Do you normally vape at with your other mods and reach temperature?
  23. IIRC, the 2xx series boards come default configured for 3 batteries. I'd go into Escribe, mod tab, and check/change it to 2 cells.
  24. Remember to post your results, either way.
  25. Welcome to the forum Somehow I can't believe this is a software issue. A BF environment can be a relatively hostile environment for any mod, even with a conformal (protection against moisture) coating like these have. Other users have blown out their mods and expelled leaked ejuice, and after cleaning all exposed areas (Isopropyl alcohol), found that their mods worked fine again. YMMV. Yes, it's possible to do a hard reset, but I wouldn't do that at all
