  1. Device Monitor scrolls while firing. Hit the pause icon when you've had a vape. Scroll backwards till it's pretty. Printscreen instructions in my footer.
  2. Saw that. What's the current state? Can you post a Printscreen (full, complete from end to end) of Device Monitor while firing with temp, temp set, live ohms, current and volts. And one of the Profile you're using.
  3. Just let your mod sit unpluuged for half an hour. Turn your temp down to your normal values before firing. More answers and explanations over there.
  4. Good morning, @Jentz9517 and @Moutainvaper nope he's long gone, sadly enough. I learned a lot from him. I see the original filenames were changed, which actually followed this format "DJaquith UD-SS 316L V3.25.csv" There is/was even a V5 &7. So in all 5 versions. So ask yourselves 2 questions Why do they say UD in the filename. Think maybe that was the specific brand he tested at the time? Why at least 5 versions, and wouldn't V7 (the last be the best/most accurate) Think about that for a minute and before you go spreading the love. Maybe even ask Steam-engine to change their curve for the good of the world.
  5. Hah! I don't work here/there. But, that is the current behavior of that field. You're good. If you keep an eye on it, that value will move lower, probably drop ~.03 ohms over the next little bit. You're still good, and that's supposed to happen. 'Refinement', BTW.
  6. In reality it's changing because you might be using SS wire, and you showed Profile 2, your mod is not in Profile 2 and just using watts. Notice the 'temperature set' field is blank. Welcome
  7. What version of Escribe? In 2.x it's under 'look and feel'
  8. You are welcome. And you could use those with the Nickel setting on your 40 in TC. Steam engine to the rescue again. Just below the top right. Click on equivalents. http://www.steam-engine.org/wirewiz.html#
  9. All things being equal (except wraps or gauge of wire) ....... the .2Ω Steam-engine is your friend.
  10. NO, YOU CANNOT!! For at least more times than fingers on one hand , kanthal is NOT a TC wire. There is NO evolv board available that will temperature protect/control your kanthal wire.
  11. What seems dangerous? Boost for wattage (similar to Power curves or normal medium high) for other vendors. OR are you talking dangerous for Temperature Protected vaping? IMHO, both are advantageous in the right circumstance. Take out Kanthal it's not a TC wire. Diameter, resistance etc. does not matter. If you like a Temperature, that's it, that's all. I vape in about a 60F range usually, cooler in the mornings. I can use any TC wire at any resistance, and get a somwhat equivalent vape. Using Kantha', n80 you can sorta do this using the 'heat flux' of your build
  12. You could run your own Battery Analyzer, which will take about an hour, tops.
  13. Boost is the proper terminology when talking non TC vaping with any material/wire. Preheat for TC material and vaping only. No official detailed documentation, but it is identified and explained in the datasheet for your board. - if on, I can regulate wattage. <- Max amount of watts to use while coil is getting up to temp - if on, I can regulate temperature. <- Max temp, or temp you want vape at - if on, I can regulate the punch. <- How close to 'temp you want vape at' before ENDING preheat values
  14. Just double the Wh's from the single, use a double, or run your own. Your own will be most accurate. 1 hour of your time and a fan needed.
  15. @Jkill9109 Or just enable/push the 'Temperature Dominant' option in any of your 8 profiles where you want that. Welcome
  16. Yeah I watched it all. My TC with my wires works mint, so no need for me, but I will get 2 boards, just cuz. I wish he wasn't interrupted as much, and did ya catch when djlsb said 'lock the resistance'. He's always said that. Ugh.
  17. @67exec So there would go the balanced battery managament chip, the serial configuration, the 2amp charging, and a drop in efficiency. <- That's the 75C. I can't see it.
  18. Since you're still new, here's a pretty good cheatsheet for ON MOD keysequences.
  19. Mac/Windows user here. There is no interactive tutorial for any platform for escribe v2. Your best bet would be to watch a more current tutorial on youtube from djlsbvapes or pbusardo. V1 and V2 are pretty much identical for your non colour mod. It works fine, out of the box as is. Your mod already came with a profile on it from Rebel. After watching a video or 2, you can interrogate what they setup, then change to your liking. There are 8 individualized profiles you can fine tune to your liking. Welcome
  20. System 10.13.3, all the latest updates. Install completed fine. Then mouse semi froze. ~5 second delay. Tried to open 'Activity Monitor' to diagnose what was taking CPU, and it couldn't even paint the application icons. Finally rebooted itself. Escribe ran fine and loaded SP6. Wake up this morning, fire up Esribe, and device appears in Main window, but getting error. 1 more reboot initiated by me and working so far. Mod res - Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. How low will it go?
  21. @James Boost works well using the MacOS version. This was not the cleanest install for me (1st time ever). I have only tested with SS .5 ohm coil from 20-60 watts @ 5 and 11 just to get a feel, without pushing any boundaries to find where the constraints are. I take it "... can be configured on-device" strictly means as a profile setting in escribe, and not changeable on mod itself.
  22. Excellent photos. I'd open a ticket with Evolv. Not only do they do warranty work for LV, they also stand behind their board. You'll work out fine. They usually turn around repairs very quickly. Board looked really clean, and they should have replacement board holders and screens. EVOLV HELP DESK - https://helpdesk.evolvapor.com/?a=add
  23. Hey Jack, might I suggest you upgrade to Escribe v2.x I've been running v2 SP9 without any issues at all. Recovery Charging is really only for internal Lipo batteries, where the internal cells are out of balance. Yours are both showing 4.16v I haven't seen those gaps before on pack voltage, mine are a solid line. Your screen cable, if not pinched, could just be soaked in juice, in sorta crooked, or even the hold down tab not fully closed. If you rip it apart, in the datasheet there's a picture of it and what's right and wrong. OR, you could open a ticket with evolv.
  24. Can you do a full Printscreen of Device Monitor, showing that
