    Wake up

I think more situations occur from the construction (building) of the device than from the chip. Contact the vendor and/or submit a RMA request to Evolv. Either way it will be fixed I think...
  2. Yep, like VB, been vaping 2 devices since July and no overheating here.... but thinking about drilling some vent holes anyway so in the unlikely case the battery wants to vent pressure won't build up excessively in the closed enclosure. (air ventilation can already occur thru the switches and usb port also).
  3. Hum....I am now an Administrator? When did this come about? will help if I can...
  4. Process I use: Set device in the room in the location of where you will be while running mod analyzer and leave overnight. Do not touch or use. Have the usb cable attached to the device but not the computer. Set a digital thermometer next to the device and leave overnight also. Leaving overnight should allow the internal temperature of the device to be the same as the room temperature. Next day: Have EScribe up and running and then plug in the usb cable to the computer. No need to touch the device. Run the mod analyzer immediately and enter the room temperature as seen on the digital thermometer. Analyzer will run until finished...
  5. Repeat previously posted " Just make it an option". I don't need it but others want it. Preface that sometimes something seems simple to implement but in reality it may require a lot more.
  6. You might try forcing an update again and when it says connect a device just keep clicking ok 4 or 5 times while you wiggle the cable at the usb. Be sure the USB cable is capable of data transfer and not just a charge cable. I have a usb cable for my cell phone that transfers data but not to my dna200. Not all cables will work. If you can disconnect the battery you could try a forced update with the battery out of the circuit. If you can't force an update then you might just RMA it to Evolv.
  7. So you could not force a firmware update?
  8. Have you tried forcing a firmware update? Downloard Efusion settings from the link I gave in an earlier post to your computer. In EScribe Go to Tools/Update firmware.
  9. Have you tried reloading the Efusion settings? From Lostvapes web site: Download the official Evolv Escribe Lost Vape Efusion Settings Here. This file contains the complete results of the Battery Test, Mod Resistance Offset, and Case Analyzer settings. Also included are Titanium and 316 Stainless Steel Heating Element Profiles. Please ensure that EScribe is updated to the latest version prior to using this profile.
  10. Yep black lace the first tank w/ replaceable TC coils I tried way back in the day was a disaster, both the RTA deck and the replaceable coils. Ohm's floating about like butterflies and was very frustrating. Went thru the routine of checking everything from solder joints to grounding to 510 connections and etc. etc. etc.. A quality device married with a quality tank utilizing a quality RTA and quality replaceable coils is the key. The "learning curve" is a process and tho frustrating at times we all manage to get through it.
  11. In real life experience replaceable coils (both Ni and Kanthal) in my tanks are rock solid. Have been since July on a 200 and before on the 40 and 25.. That is all I vape. I like it simple and fiddle free and consistent. More of one's preference than anything else for me and with a quality tank/coil it is a non-issue. I prefer replaceable coils and some prefer RTA's and all is good.
  12. So the Efusion has the proper settings from the manufacturer (or you ran the analyzers and set it up yourself)? Many things can cause what you are getting. Process of elimination. I've ran probably at least 40 temp and non-temp Aspire coils in a set of Atlantis tanks. What is strangest of all is that you let the device rest for an hour and the ohm's goes to 0.34. Cold ohm's at 0.20 or 0.22 going to 0.34 when the coil is cold also at 0.34. Would be curious what ohm reading you will get by taking off the tank and coil and screwing the base only into the device. Measure the ohm's with your ohm meter while not firing the device. You will need to put downward pressure on the center pin of the atty base with the ohm meter lead so you get a good connection at the center pin since the coil is not screwed into the base. You can then use the atty analyzer while putting pressure on the center pin while looking at the Device monitor but you will need to put pressure before connecting the device to Escribe and running the analyzer. The resistance swing of the coil while I vape it varies 0.12 ohms. My vaping resistance goes from 0.15 to 0.27 while vaping and reaching temp limit. My profile setting is pre-heat = 100, punch =5, temp setting 400F, wattage setting= 24.1 and e-liquid is 70/30 VG/PG. My thoughts on possibilities: 1. Efusion mod settings not correct. 2. Poor grounding in the device. 3. Cold solder joints (maybe at the 510). 4. Poor connection between the 510 and tank 510 connection. 5. Poor or improper fit of the coil head into the atty base. (Aspire coil fit issue with a non-Aspire tank). 6. Defective batch of Aspire coils. (least possibility according to my experience). Best guesses at this point.
  13. I use those Aspire coils exclusively with authentic Aspire tanks. Mine always read 0.15/0.14 cold. Solid as a rock. Are you sure the coils are authentic Aspire coils and your tank may not be completely compatible with the Aspire coil head? And what black lace said...
  14. Win 10 works just fine here..... upgraded to it and all legacy equipment/software just kept on going...one legacy printer is 5 years old..
  15. Translation: Dear Brandon, thank you good news, I don't know when is the next update. Can't wait to see it, at the moment my irritation with SX mini ML users. Any idea when is the next version.
  16. As blueridgedog said: I could go on, but others have said it. For me the real track is getting the chip, 510 and atomizer to all play well with TC. We have the chip, we now have the 510, but we still need a reference atomizer that is perfect for TC. I would just add that to complete the journey of the perfect vape we also need e-liquid manufacturers to provide maximum safe vaping temperatures for their liquids along with full disclosure of the ingredients.

  18. How about sending it to the vendor you got it from for replacement/repair?
  19. Temp set to 350F and only reaching 250F. Noticed your wattage set at 20 watts... Try turning up the wattage and see how it responds on the graph.
  20. How about a picture of the internals?
  21. I just set the preheat, punch, and time duration in the Profiles. That way I may use 5%/10%/etc boost depending on Profile. Might be a good new feature for you guys but don't remove what I like to add the new feature please.
  22. First look and it may be that you have lost a solder pad at the fuse (closest to the B+ pad) due to heating the B+ pad during soldering.
  23. What device do you have or is it one you built? Can you post pictures of the internals of the device?
