  1. My guess is that it's the screen.... hook it up to EScribe and see if everything else still functions.... I assume it still vapes...
  2. Here isa link.... just figure out what size enclosure you will need and you should be able to find one here: http://www.hammondmfg.com/scpg.htm
  3. From your pictures it shows 4.20 Volts but the charge circuit is still running, thus not fully charged yet. Run Battery analyzer and let the battery get fully charged and it should start auto- firing to run the battery down...
  4. Why not just submit a ticket to Evolv? They should be able to advise and possibly RMA if needed....
  5. I might just add a comment...... I'm not sure what you are experiencing nor the cause but since last July I have always had a DNA-200 connected to my desktop computer and the usb stays connected 24 hours a day every day of the week. I vape it when at the desktop and have had no issue such as you are having no matter the charge level. Just giving my experience with it...
  6. "Targeting seven to fourteen olds".... get real man...... Evolv doesn't roll that way.... apology in order IMO....
  7. These may be of help to you.... Wire Resistance Calculator...... http://www.cirris.com/learning-center/calculators/133-wire-resistance-calculator-table Voltage Drop Calculator.... http://www.calculator.net/voltage-drop-calculator.html?material=copper&wiresize=13.17&voltage=12&phase=dc&noofconductor=1&distance=6&distanceunit=feet&amperes=200&x=41&y=12
  8. See if this helps..... just a thought Trouble detecting the device after you apply it, download and run the USBRemover.bat from: https://www.dimensionengineering.com/software/USBRemover.zip That will cause Windows to reinstall it the next time it is plugged in. This is a one-time thing and you shouldn't have to do it for any future firmware updates.
  9. Is your USB cable a charge onlycable or a data/charge cable? Make sure your usb cable can transfer data and not just charge.

    Shorting

Just let VS fix it.... it may also be a fractured insulator between the center pin and the 510 frame (ground).
  11. You might contact them and see if they received your package... 6 or 8 weeks seems a long time... stuff does get lost in transit from time to time or delivered to the wrong address... you know they have moved a little while ago, right...?
  12. Maybe just voltage loss in the device build. Have you checked the output voltage at the board with a meter?
  13. If you want a great 510 you might consider this one: http://www.protovapor.com/product/evolv-510-connector/
  14. Saw this link ..... pretty good prices on 200's.... have not purchased from them.... http://cheapvaping.deals/category/vape-deals-by-category/box-mods-deals/dna-200-box-mods
  15. Try adding Kanthal here and then check the grayed out Coil Material box again...
  16. THX.. I looked for a picture or video of a VS dna 200 disassembled and didn't run across any. VS must move a ton of the DNA200's to get a special board.
  17. No daughter board? I'm curious how do they light the fire button and show charging lights at the button?
  18. My point was that there can be many causes... that's all...Vapor Shark should know what common issues they have with their device. A good place to start I think... and no I did not read your post before I posted as I was typing as you posted. You are right in asking for more details. I'm sure that Dilligaf will get it sorted...
  19. Each of us could "guess" what your issue is. We can't evaluate your device however, so the cause is a mystery to all of us. It is like me calling my Honda dealer and saying my car quit running and you must tell me over the phone what the problem is. I'm not Evolv but many things can be the cause. See what Vapor Shark says and does as they are pretty good at standing behind their stuff I'm told. The Evolv board has a warranty if that is determined to be the issue. Not knowing anything about your device I will offer a few guesses: Bad Battery Poor connections Bad daughter board Device dropped and internals were damaged Bad fire button Display broken thus won't light up Poorly connected display ribbon Bad usb cable thus not recognized by EScribe ETC ETC
  20. They also use Li-Po's for their battery packs... just one example... http://www.ronlund.com/rcheli-prod/ELEC_BATL6/CS5200-6S-50C.html
  21. Thank you Mike.....well placed and timely comments which I agree with 100% and yes "safety matters".... I'm not Evolv either nor one of the 1% that " wants more and more watts".
  22. Still in warranty... send back to where you bought it.. opening it up will probably void the warranty from VS.
  23. Go back to the previous firmware and see if the spitting goes away...if not look for something else, maybe rda related...
