It keeps saying to connect a device

It still wont connect and every once in a while it will say power surge... Iv tried switching cords and music too!!!!

I cant even get the mod connected to the escribe software

It worked for a while, long enough where the guy I got it from wont warranty it no more. It will no longer connect to the computer. Here is a video so you can see my Dilemma. Hopefully someone can help. Video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_QCjAe3ack
