1. Here is a better link: (you can check your version of EScribe against these to see where you stand) /topic/66731-topic/?do=findComment&comment=900118
2. Read this in another forum... valid??? Not sure???

4. Profiles: The DNA 200 allows you to save and select between eight groups of output settings. Each group of output settings is called a Profile. To switch between profiles on the device, put the DNA 200 into Power Locked mode by pressing and holding both the up and down buttons for two seconds. From power locked mode, to cycle between profiles, double click the Up or Down button. To select the displayed profile, press the fire button. Each profile contains an output power setting and a maximum temperature setting. These can be adjusted on the device, and will be saved when a different profile is selected. Additionally, the resistance lock setting and value for each atomizer is saved in the profile, which can alleviate temperature inaccuracies stemming from attaching atomizers before they have completely cooled. Many more output settings, including the coil material and preheat settings can be adjusted on a perprofile basis using the Escribe PC software. Evolv recommends setting up one profile for each atomizer that you regularly use with the DNA 200. It is much faster to switch profiles than it is to set up the settings for the atomizer again.
5. Do you already have 8 specific Profiles saved to your device and you can switch between all 8 using the buttons? See post just above.
6. In your case I think I would probably make sure the VT200 is functioning properly before thinking of any changes. Haven't kept up with the settings for the VT200 but I feel there is info out there that tells what the setting should be.
7. I think you are right. It's Hcigar. I think it's their batteries, but I speculate. Good news, they are giving me a new Hcigar, because I asked. So happy. Heading over there soon.
When ya grab the new one you might consider charging it up fully before messing with it.. just to be sure you start with a full charge.
8. Yep, ask him about replacing it one more time. If not RMA it then to Evolv and see if they will help ya out if HCigar won't warranty it. Don't recall you saying what failed in your HCigars.
9. See what you are saying but maybe the third time will be a charm. I've read that HCigar had a few issues but resolving them. Good luck.
10. Any better at about 24 watts? Wonder why your temperature is so much lower that your setting of 420F in the graph? Spaced coil with no hot spots?
11. If the Chinese boards don't perform like a DNA200 you may still miss your HCigar tho.
12. Now that it is not doing TC can you post a screen capture of the General tab with the profile you are using showing and a Device Monitor capture of it firing?
13. You can post whatever screens you feel like posting... others may see something that may help ya out.
14. Tracked down this post.... /topic/67827-topic/?do=findComment&comment=910541 Not sure these numbers are the official ones but just letting you know about this post...
15. When the wire heats the resistance should change showing other than a flat line. What wire are you using and what wire setting are you using? Also like said before your device should have the proper settings file. Some devices don't come with the proper settings and proper resistance setting.
16. I see in your graph a difference in cold and live ohms in the data (left fields) and live ohms (on graph) seems to be a flat line while vaping.
17. Interesting reading.... I've no problem with overshooting temp. It is just a matter of fine tuning temp, wattage, pre-heat, and punch. Just because you have 200 watts pre-heat there is no need to leave it set at 200 watts and adjusting punch also can help.
18. Wvpe, could you post pictures of the internals? All my 200's have worked with nickel coils for months and months.
19. James a similar discussion on ECF with several pages of posts about dropping out of Temp Limiting... may be helpful... http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/threads/dna-200-watt.680148/page-218#post-16917170
20. Doesn't the chart show .53 ohm's to max way below 200 watts.... approximately 130 or so watts...?
21. Look at the Output Power section in the datasheet. http://www.evolvapor.com/datasheet/dna200.pdf
22. interesting the first link declares that the board they are selling is the ''Latest Version'' if so how many different versions of the board have there been? and what were the changes?
maybe their info given answers your question . EVOLV DNA 200 - LATEST VERSION! - IN STOCK! SUMMARYThese have the very latest firmware and updates!
23. FYI - Completed the huge Windows 10 upgrade/update. It took a loooooong time (hours). Up and running and everything in EScribe I have ran so far just works as it did previous to the upgrade. During the upgrade/update process the Internet Security software and the network connection was stopped. Only required a mouse click to start them after upgrade/update was finished. It also wanted MS Edge to be the default browser but gives you a choice. Pretty simple migration process and all settings were kept and all installed software on my computer remained functional. Now to see what's new with Win-10. NOTE: Some peeps are reporting the install hangs at 32% and some say it hangs at 44%. My install seemed to stop at 32% and also at 44% but after a time it just progressed passed these until the install was at 100%. “If it’s been less than 31 days since you upgraded to Windows 10, you won’t get the November update right away; this will allow you to go back to your previous version of Windows if you choose. After the 31 days have passed, your PC will automatically download the November update.”
24. Just a note since this thread talks about Windows 10: A huge upgrade is rolling out and began yesterday for Windows 10.
