  1. Set the wattage high enough to be able to reach the temperature setting you have set. You can monitor, while firing, using Device Monitor. It can show temp, watts, preheat operation, and etc. etc. Then adjust to your needs, wants, and desires.... each person may want a different experience.... some want more preheat, some less,,,, some want quicker response, some don't... just play with settings, pre-heat, punch, duration, temp settings, wattage settings, and etc. until you get the vape you want....
  2. In actual device settings you use the wattage is important in TC ..... too low of a wattage setting and preheat is effected and the set temperature may not be reached....
  3. You can get either size screen here.... pick the one you need.... https://www.evolvapor.com/products/dna60 or here: https://www.protovapor.com/product/replacement-dna-screen/
  4. This link may help..... http://learningrc.com/puffed-lipos/
  5. Just FYI.... Evolv has a "Contact Us" feature on their Evolv Web site where you can offer suggestions directly to the staff. It gives you the opportunity to ask for a feature and explain why you think your suggestion has merit. Not all suggestions in the past have been instituted for many and varied reasons but many were also instituted. The hard work of the Evolv folks, the suggestions from others, and the long range goals of Evolv since 2010 have brought us to the current level of technology. I enjoy the "fruits of their labor" each time I vape. Here is a link that you guys can use to offer your suggestions directly to Evolv Staff. https://helpdesk.evolvapor.com/index.php?a=add&category=5
  6. LOL...... yep I'm Retired...... and the reason for the @retird is because my Specialty Auto License Plate can only have 6 letters....... so my auto tag is also RETIRD Sounds like a plan carrying extra batteries...... how about a coil build of a different ohm rating requiring less amperage? just a thought.... Here is a good little ohm's calculator I use.... https://www.the12volt.com/ohm/ohmslawcalculators.asp
  7. But isn't the minimum input voltage 3.0 volts on the 75?
  8. At 100% battery what "Pack" voltage sag do you see in Device Monitor while firing the device? At 75% battery what "Pack" voltage sag do you see in Device Monitor while firing the device? At 50% and 40% battery what "Pack" voltage sag do you see in Device Monitor while firing the device? At anytime does it drop below the soft cell cut-off setting?
  9. Oops... sorry for the misspelling of squonkers..... so you only are comparing the 75C (squonker) to non-squonker devices but all devices have DNA boards.... From another 75C thread I found this.... "Is the resistance consistently wrong in Atomizer Analyzer? If so, definitely make sure your case grounding is good (are the grounding screws loose?). The measurements used to sample Ohms (for Atomizer Analyzer or New Coil) are done at very low power (otherwise the atomizer would heat up while measuring, which would ruin the measurement), so grounding issues can be more significant than at full power. This is true for other DNAs as well, incidentally."
  10. So, I guess,, your older DNA 75 devices are sponkers also ? Can you post a screenshot from EScribe showing the Electrical and Thermal settings of the 75C. This info is found in the Mod Tab of EScribe.
  11. Device Monitor is in EScribe.
  12. In Device Monitor look at bottom left corner where it says "Mode" It will say "Stealth" if in that mode. If not in Stealth mode and screen won't turn on you need to return it for being DOA when you got it......... This is a brand new device you just bought, right?
  13. You can start a ticket with Evolv if you want and they will guide you...... here is the link..... https://helpdesk.evolvapor.com/index.php?a=add&category=1
  14. Too Hot: The DNA 75C has onboard temperature sensing. It will shut down and display this message if the internal board temperature becomes excessive. Firing your device at 75 watts for long period places the upper limit of the capability thus the most heat buildup. The board shuts down to protect itself from overheat. Check Atomizer: The DNA does not detect an atomizer, the atomizer has shorted out, or the atomizer resistance is incorrect for the power setting. What is the coil build specifications you are firing at 75 watts?
  15. Submit a ticket and they will guide you.... here is the link.... https://helpdesk.evolvapor.com/index.php?a=add&category=1
  16. May have a short or other issue in the device causing the batteries to auto discharge. As it auto discharges have you checked the voltage at the 510 connector with no atty present? Do have know if you have continuity at the 510 connector between thew center pin and the shell of the 510 when no batteries are connected indication the 510 is shorted? Is the fire button stuck or shorted? Could be many other things too. The batteries that heated and went down to 1.74 volts are candidates to be disposed of and not used again.
  17. hum, if you measured the battery and it shows dead then it should be replaced since recovery charge wasn't able to bring it back... a fresh, charged battery would be a good place to start to see if all is well just by getting a new battery.
  18. From the screenshot you posted you are not getting the full voltage from both batteries and very low voltage from one thus your device won't charge and will not work without proper voltage.. With it plugged into EScribe it should be charging but it is not according to your screenshot. This issue could be caused by many things. Since it is new and still in warranty you might contact your vendor for replacement / repair. You could also start a ticket with Evolv.
  19. Is it in Stealth mode? Connect your device to EScribe, open Device Monitor, and what does it say at the very bottom of the Device Monitor screen where it says "Mode"? Have you changed any settings since you got your new device?
  20. @Dunby .....My best guess (and as the video below shows) is.that device has an external LED for the fire button of which you can change colors with the extra auxillary button on the device. The external led (not the led of the dna board) cannot be programmed thru EScribe (as stated in the video) as the device maker chose to design his mod that way. He is probably not using the on-board DNA 75 LED for the fire button. Here is a video about this device.
  21. Here is a link to many, many, many Themes that folks have designed. You can download them and use them. https://forum.evolvapor.com/files/category/6-dna-75-color-themes/ I highly recommend you save a copy of the original *.ecig file from your new device to your computer BEFORE you make any changes in themes, settings, and etc. That way should you need to you can re-install the original *.ecig file (which includes the original theme).
  22. Could you post a picture of the board where we can look at the components, connections, solder points, and etc?
  23. If you saved the original *.ecig file before you changed themes you might try uploading that.... if not you might contact Lost Vapes or your vendor to get a copy of the *.ecig file to upload. If that doesn't fix it you might fill out a ticket with Evolv and they will guide you.... Maybe someone in this forum can post the original therion DNA 75c *.ecig file if they have it.
  24. 2 day old mod..... have you changed anything since you got it, such as the theme, any settings under Theme Designer? Any more info you could give would be helpful....
