ticking noise/welcome primary screen/not connecting to escribe
VapingBad replied to Jannah's topic in Report a Bug
Open a ticket with Evolv going on other users experiences I am sure they will help you. -
Nick did on post #9 when it was 95% as it is now and thought it was good and just added a level of detail on recovery charging.

EScribe produces the profile, but you can also save the test results if you are interested in the detail of how your battery performed. You may still have the profile, open EScribe in full screen, go to the mod tab then connect your device, if it has a non-standard curve I would expect it to change in EScribe when it downloads the settings from the device, you can then use the save button by the profile to save it.

Escribe Device Monitor Problem
VapingBad replied to mackman's topic in EScribe, Software and Firmware
Try right clicking the pop-up, selecting Move then press one of the arrow keys on your keyboard, it's a Windows quirk and not specific to EScribe. -
Yea, it doesn't need squeezing if there is no atty in it, 45 degree circlip pliers are best if you have them, if you have very fine needle nose pliers the may work. Remember if you are screwing it in the wire will turn with it so it is best to assemble once the outer is fixed to the case or solder the positive out after fitting the 510 or you will rip the pad off the board.
-
And if you are soldering to the board yon need the spring, fibre washer & cir-clip on the lead before you solder both ends.
-
You put the insulator in first, then the centre pin, then the spring, then the black fibre washer and finally the cir-clip.
-
That will be the test results and not the profile, it is a while since I ran the analyser, but IIRC it loads the profile in the Mod tab and you can save it from there, but if you didn't either do that or "upload setting to device" before exiting EScribe I think you will have lost it

Yes, 10.5 Wh. You can make 2 differient files the test results that you can use in other programs like Excel and the battery profile. A profile will look like this for a Turnigy naon-tec 950 mAh
"Battery Charge (%)","Cell Voltage (V)" 0,3.10999989509583 0.939638435840607,3.27999997138977 2.11418652534485,3.41000008583069 3.28873467445374,3.5 4.46328258514404,3.55999994277954 6.82259178161621,3.64000010490417 10.3564500808716,3.6800000667572 50.4340705871582,3.82999992370605 65.7644729614258,3.91000008583069 82.2898559570313,4.03000020980835 100,4.19999980926514
A mechanism to report posts to a central admin/moderator mail box should be enough to catch them early.

In Escribe - Help -About EScribe click the logo 7 times then open Device Monitor and look at the screen disconnects (may have the wrong term, but it will be obvious) if that is > 0 it is a screen connection issue, could be the cable has come out of the socket or the cable is damaged.
-
There are 2P3S cells available that do just that, nothing wrong with that idea as such just that manufactures can match the quality of the cells, though I suspect that most only reject very poor cells and you could do better with a reasonable quantity of cells to choose from.

International shipping sucks for small items, unless they come from China.

Monitoring temp control dont show temperature
VapingBad replied to slam666's topic in EScribe, Software and Firmware
Seems like it has not seen enough change in temp in the 1st second of firing, it backs out of temp limiting it the coil doesn't appear to raise 150 F in temperature. Could be several things, most likely is the materials profile does not match the wire, it could also be a poor atty/connection. SS is a very poor wire for temp limiting, it can work, but because it is not well suited to it you may/probably will need to have a lot of trial and error. -

ticking noise/welcome primary screen/not connecting to escribe
VapingBad replied to Jannah's topic in Report a Bug
You check the battery by 9.3 V - 12.6 V between the large leads and 3.09 V - 4.2 V between each adjacent pair of contacts on the smaller 4 pin plug. Probably no it, but make sure it is not in stealth mode. -
Auto switching materials
VapingBad replied to skineedog's topic in Manuals, Instructions, and Tutorials
It couldn't do too fast/slow change as these can vary between coils size and coil count so much it would not be possible to hava settings that worked for everything. Protection for over powering on sudden resistance change is inbuilt, but it has become a trend to set the wattage way above what people actually vape at and just use the temp limit to control the vape. The board has real-time wattage regulation and will not exceed the watts you set it for regardless of resistance change. -
Device Wont Connect or Communicate.
VapingBad replied to Emidron's topic in EScribe, Software and Firmware
Try different USB cables, now days many are just charge cables with not data connection. -
I prefer the VT to the FD any day, but as you say the Evolv 510 is a class apart.
-
It will not hurt, in fact never fully charging and never fully draining will probably extend the life of the cells. google Battery University there is a loads of good info there. You only get 0.49 A from the PC because Windows limits it to that, you could probably get up to 0.99x A with a USB power supply via your inverter and at home/office. The cut off is the min under load voltage, the default of 3.09 is good for LiPos, maybe lower for 18650 if the absolute max run time is important to you, having that a little higher and more so choosing the max-recharges setting in EScribe will extend the working life of your cells.
