Thank you. So taken from zivipf; Alloy components: Ni 52%, Fe rest Temperature coefficient: 400 Well you do have the correct material file. so that's good. My 'ugly head' comment refers to Ziv using the '48' to identify the Iron content whereas steam-engine uses '52' to identify the Nickel content. Using escribe with your mod plugged in can you go to your SS316L and NiFe profile and make sure or change so that the temperature box under settings is chosen. (same thing as making sure the 'Off' is NOT highlighted) and let me which material had the 'Off' highlighted. Make sure to Upload settings to mod whenever you make ANY changes in escribe. Another way your mod could have got to 'Off' is on page 4 of the datasheet. Here's a snippet. 'The maximum temperature is adjustable between 200° Fahrenheit and 600° Fahrenheit. To disable the temperature protection entirely, adjust the limit up to 600 degrees, then press the UP button one additional time. The temperature limit will read OFF.' Here's where you can download the complete datasheet 'https://downloads.evolvapor.com/dna60.pdf' Edit: While you're in there (Material for NiFe52 you might want to change the 'On-Screen Name' from 'Ni' to 'NiFe or NiFe48' <- something no other mods can do

NiFe rears its ugly head again. Can you post a link where you bought this wire AND a screenshot of the NiFe Material Profile, like below.

@rcamarda After a good sleep, here's an idea. Remove atty from mod for 10 minutes (to cool), go to a completely different profile where it shows zero for the ohms (don't worry about material type). Re-install atty and hit the fire button which will generate the new coil message. What are the Ω's Rambling on. I'm wondering if you're hitting the fire button even briefly (before you remeasure) which could cause the ohms to rise that 0.06Ω from your Dani. Considering both of your calibrated DNAs read the coil exactly the same, it would be hard for me to fault the mod Do you see this difference between mods with different atty's like @BillW50 showed?
-
Thanks for that. Both values look very respectable. Since you measured the internal resistances yourself I'm out of ideas.

Outdated material presets and box TCR input still missing
Wayneo replied to rcamarda's topic in General Discussion
You don’t need to reset to defaults. just start escribe with no mod attached, choose new 250c, when it opens go to material, select nife30 in the right hand window and move out to the left hand window. Now it’s available for all your moods just move it to their right hand window -

@BillW50 is absolutely correct AND one of the 5 default evolv material entries IS Nife30. If it's not there that was done by Vapecige. However NiFexx is an oddity whereby different vendors use that suffix value to denote the Nickel content while others use it for the Iron content. Then on other mods you end up with 'M1 or T1 3200' and 'M2 or T2 4036' on other mods that do not allow you enter a material name. Oh yeah, which one's which? You can put that suggestion in at the Help Desk. Both forum activity and SP updates are driven by user engagement. You personally have dealt with Evolv's Director of support, yet questioned the truthfulness of the answer. What other competitor has a dedicated user site or allows access to their non marketing employees? -
Just wondering what you have set for each mod's internal resistance. 2 screenshots is preferred.

2022 Phoenix Box mods DNA250c theme update
Wayneo replied to Phoenix Box Mods's topic in Themes and Custom Screens
Hi. Please post your themes properly. The 'system' will generate previews for them (showcase) so users can choose. There's a post you can read with instructions. ★ HOW TO Post/Share a Theme ★ Link: https://forum.evolvapor.com/topic/71584-%E2%98%85-how-to-postshare-a-theme-%E2%98%85/ Thanks. -
Those tiny ones are for individual cell monitoring. The large pads on each side of the board are for actual power. Here's the pdf datasheet https://downloads.evolvapor.com/dna250color.pdf

Escribe - extended documentation and manual
Wayneo replied to rcamarda's topic in Manuals, Instructions, and Tutorials
A user here created a series of videos that I agree with. A series of 4 back in 2017 that are still valid today. Here's the one for thermal calibration. https://youtu.be/BlVWc49qbPY That older board had 1 less case value than a color board but it's still valid. Escribe also shows definitions for each value if you hover over the words. Thermal calibration should have been done by the manufacturer, and it was, by some, years ago. Luckily we have access to the same tools. You can do the calibration more than once if you wish to verify the results. Mods are made with so many different enclosures (Stainless Steel, wood, zinc, 3D printing) all with different thermal characteristics. So a pdf would not be useful, but you can see their defaults and compare if yours are vastly different. Which mod/board do you have? You really should not discount Replay so quickly. It gives you 'dry hit' protection without all the hassles. I'm sitting here with 4 mods. All calibrated. 2 older non color mods using TC, 2 color mods using Replay. -
When themes are posted, the puff count ALWAYS shows as 42. Look through the Themes and if you see 42 on the main screen, THAT would be the puff counter. As far as clearing it, that's up to the theme itself.

Escribe - extended documentation and manual
Wayneo replied to rcamarda's topic in Manuals, Instructions, and Tutorials
No, not as you describe or imagine. Here's a great video tutorial on the board and Theme Designer. The video lingo, or escribe will get you familiar with DNA words DJLSB vapes - Evolv DNA 75 C Full Review with eScribe and Theme Editor Tutorial - https://youtu.be/1dvBpTm-FQM Other than that, the search feature works well or even creating a post like you just did. Hovering over fields in escribe will often give definitions as well. Welcome 👋 -
I realize you said "weak puff" issue out of the box, and you're ready to return it to Rebel, but you could try the 'Restore Defaults' when you first startup Escribe.
-
Yeah, I can imagine that. Leave a comment or review to notify the author.
-
Actually, there are 2 main reasons (that I'm aware of) when this can occur. Both being silly programming errors/oversight. The easiest to find and fix would be calling a screen that does not exist, the other leaving hanging child screens. Both, the author should fix as others will suffer the same fate. Do you remember what you were doing that caused this?
-
Theme issue usually. You should contact the theme author.

While I agree with the vast majority of what @BillW50 wrote, it could also be as simple as your mod and coil was not at room temp when you measured the coil. Or the positive pin on the atty needs to be tightened. That range should be fine, and presumably did work fine for first week As seen in Atomizer Analyzer, right? What more things woul that be?

[DNA250] Reading just one cell after light fall

⬆️ That, right there ⬆️ -
If you only ever changed the idle time and put boost to 1, I can't see either of those causing your hot boro. It does not sound like a board problem to me. It's the first time BBVN has ever been mentioned (if you search here yourself). If you start escribe with your mod plugged in, under the top line 'Help' tab you should see 'Backups' which were created. You can restore to any one of them. If you look under 'Tools' you'll see Apply service pack, and there should be 3 of them. I'd suggest the latest 'INT' version. You can see your current SP by starting Device Monitor and it shows down in the bottom right hand corner. I still suggest you might want to post in a more BBVN specific group about your issues. It could be the bridge/rba or anything really. Have you tried a different bridge/rba not just your coil. Luckily everyone here is free to comment with their thoughts.

Steam Crave Hadron Plus/Pro/Mini theme
Wayneo commented on Nunu's file in DNA 75 Color, 100 Color, 250 Color
Under the 'About This File' heading is where you should explain a few of the features such as; Any special features that are not noticeable What's showing on the main screen, (like that bar under the temp, or the bottom row icons) etc. And then with updates, what you fixed or changed. An update with just 'improvements' is lazy 🙂 -
Then no idea. I find it odd that everything worked just fine for 9 weeks. Grasping for ideas, did anything change shortly before this started; new batteries, leaking from an atty, anything you remember changing on the mod. If no one else has any ideas you should open a Help Desk ticket. Link in my signature line.

@Nori Is your mod running the latest service pack (EScribe Suite 2.0 SP31) ? The link is in my signature line. You can then install SP45 on your mod. You can tell the SP on your mod by starting escribe with your mod plugged in, then click Device Monitor. It's down in the bottom right hand corner.

It is an information or warning (safety) message from the mod for you, due to specific circumstances. You can hover over the field for an official definition if mine was not clear. I have already said where to find it.
