De-solder and resolder the connector from the old battery or get a new connector, I think the connectors are XT30 about 6mm by 11 mm, if they are bigger they are XT60. Be very careful to only work on one wire at a time including cutting the wires and insulate with heat shrink (the stuff with adhesive inside is best) before working on the other wire, never have both wires exposed at the same time. They are easier to solder if you have a spare for the other side of the plug not connected to act as a heat sink.

They are both upto spec, I would expect the Turingy to be a bit better IIRC from the communality battery results (/topic/65816-topic/) the Zippy's are below the stared capacity.

Thanks that would have been perfect, but I drilled it out and all good now. -
Vt200 wont power on unless plugged in [Confirmation please]
VapingBad replied to Brofessor's topic in Report a Bug
It does sound like a fuse, the main power is fused, but the battery monitoring is not, don't leave it plugged in too long as the balancing circuitry will got hot, I am not sure that damage will result just a precaution. -
As long as your batteries can safely supply 23 A the board can safely supply up to 50 A if the coil resistance is in the supported range, if not the board will adjust the power and warn you. The board converts both voltage and current EG. 23 A at 12 V at the batteries could be 50 A at 5.7 V to the coil.

If you do they will only charge to 4.2 V per cell (12.6 V) and not to 4.35 V (13.05 V), so IMO there is no advantage or reason to choose these over a good standard LiPo.

IIRC it is a fullymax 1300 mAh I think GeekVape sell them in the UK and imagine that there will be other vendors elsewhere. http://www.vapegeek.co.uk/Battery-Pack-for-Efusion-DNA200-211.htm

The lower purple line in the plot it is the cold res.

I edited the post, I just removed a bit on the lines of if "I was going to insult I would have said...." and nothing to do with vaping, DNA200 or ss wire. But normally there is no editing, it is the only one I have edited so far.

No, it to stop the battery venting or worse in a catastrophic failure as I understand it. If one of 3 cells is reversed the main connections would just see 2/3 voltage and should not fire, but it may damage the battery balance and monitoring circuitry which is not protected by the fuse.
-
On the plot the cold res is 0.334 but you said AA reads 0.31, I would undo the atty and fire to force new coil and make sure it is 0.31. That extra cold res would cause the temp to be much higher.

Feature update - Multitasking?
VapingBad replied to Yellowhorse's topic in EScribe, Software and Firmware
But AA pulses the coils regularly and DM doesn't so you would have to make 2 distinct modes for AA and then test both, adding override ohms to DM is a good idea though. GUIs should be task focused and never just feature packed, they should never divert your focus from the job in hand. -

IMO just because it is possible doesn't mean it is best, I know you can queue and lock after all you would only get one port handle, I am sure you have heard of KISS. Mobile apps and single page web apps are basically modal windows anyway, this is an app for untrained users from all walks of life that will have vastly different levels of understanding and many would be confused when Attie Analyser worked differently because DM was running or why DM pauses when I click upload setting to device just as two examples. -

Stainless Steel normally contains Nickel, I have a Nickel allergy and have been vaping Ni200 for well over a year with zero issues.
Yeah. I don't know why anyone still uses Ni-200, tbh. Can't be dry burned (can't be cleaned), have to recoil every couple days, and it has a super low resistance which is annoying. To each their own, though.
I dry burn with the temp set to 600 F, power 3-15 W and wash or steam clean and my coils last months, it was more difficult with the DNA40 due to thinner wire need for dual coils but on gennies they can last months. As you say each to their own,

Feature update - Multitasking?
VapingBad replied to Yellowhorse's topic in EScribe, Software and Firmware
I disagree modal windows ensure users operate the software safely, as it has been tested and as intended to work, important windows going out of view can cause more problems than being forced to operate in a specific way. I think it would be more frustrating disabling all the functions that read from or write to the device while DM was open and possibly behind the main window, many users would find that confusing and unintuitive. -

Remember the main window allows reading and writing to the EPROM as dose Device Manager, you don't want to be doing both at the same time. -

VapingBad replied to Yellowhorse's topic in EScribe, Software and Firmware
So many programs work like this, it is by design and the long established paradigm to use a modal window when operations have the potential of interfering with each other and is used by responsible software engineers to prevent conflicts and bugs occurring. I just don't understand the problem Device Monitor saves it's settings you only have to close it, do the other thing you wanted and open it again. -
Really cool use of different colours shortlex

Not a answer just a couple of observations. I one post you said you had it at 15 W, the board will drop temp limiting if it dose not see a 150 F temp rise in the first second, so low Watts don't help trouble shooting this. I have seen twisted Ni coils shorting only when fired, it can normally be sorted with a quick strum of the loops. Also the connections can loosen on some atties after a few heat cycles on a new coils(s).

VapingBad replied to Yellowhorse's topic in EScribe, Software and Firmware
That's exactly what I'm talking about. EScribe only lets us do one thing at a time. When that Device Monitor is open, you can't open anything else up - even to look at it. I see that as a big problem. YES, it's 'fixable'. It's just a matter of getting Evolv to do it.
You mean you can't use the other parts of Escribe? That is common practice in software design, modal window, I don't see it is a issue at all YMMV. -
IMO most of the time you "blacken cotton" it is the liquid turning black on the surface and not the cotton charring.
