thanx our bloke, your a star,, I got fobbed off earlier,[/QUOTE] Those other ones were a bigger version and I think a one off run that is over and the T&Cs of where they came from prohibit those details being posted.
You need to get out in the big outdoors more mate, I have had to rely on power banks & car charger for up to 10 days at a time last year, even camping at VapeFest it's 3 days. Lucky I have about 50-60 18650s.
The enclosure acts as a heat sink and will dissipate heat much faster than a lots of air holes in a plastic or wood box, I have been using one for about 6 months with no problems.
Have a good practice at soldering thick wires quickly onto a scrap board or strip board first it will really help you, use the re-flow method: tin both sides first.
It is personal preference, no right answer, I like preheat 200 W punch 11 for 1.5 seconds, temp 355-400 F depending on the tank and watts depend on the tank as well. I only have one build that is good at 355, normally I'm at 380-390 F with 100% PG.
The "overshoot" is the preheat, that screen shot should have the temperature to more sense. For the preheat duration it will fire up to the preheat power (200 W) until it reaches the desired temperature, on that screen shot it looks like it didn't quite reach temp so fired at full power (100 W) for a short time (flat section) until it reached temp (450 F) and then progressively lowered the power to maintain the temperature, it will not go above the set power after preheat is finished.
Not as far as I am aware, I imagine the postage will be a lot less when Evolv release them officially in their web store it the postage cost of batteries is anything to go by.
The 2nd column is what the resistance would be at that temp, the table is bases off the 68,1 which says the material is 1 ohm at 68 F (room temp). Your mainly interested in the values around vaping temps.
Sounds like the fw update failed, don't worry that will not brick it, just go to Tools - Update firmware and manually update. (If you are on a Mac see the Mac thread in the sw section)
IIRC the first two values the time constants are not as important as the delta A and degree F/A. I asked John why my results were different and he just commented on those to being close.
