  1. For the past few days my mod has been switching to power mode when using NiFe 30 Not particularly a worry given the material however it has ruined cotton. just recently the profile decided to use 199w as it's starting wattage before switching to the 85 I have it set for for some reason the following steps work as a work around switch to a titanium profilefire in temp for titaniumreturn to NiFe when coils are cool lock ohmsI decided to reset my device and remake the profile so we will see how that fairs. Device is a tuglyfe attached is previous profile14Feb2016.ecig
  2. I use a 2 amp wall charger intended for fast charging phones and it works fine for me
  3. You might blacken cotton but you should NEVER burn with nickle, run it without a top cap until dry and make sure you're not getting a glow or fire. Use higher gauge wire if you can, its just a requirement of ni200 (if it's too much to work with I recommend going with TI GR1 or 01 ). Make sure your wraps are as identical as possible (you won't get away with 10left 9right) Double check your starting wattage (by default it's 200 and this can cause problems). Also keep your coils clean (this is very important with temp wire)
  4. I've tried ni200, making claptons was essentially required for vapor production, often older coils would hve to be all but submerged to fire. Currettly using Ti01, even coil sizing is an absolute must, much lower guages available for builds, now addicted to claption build. dirty coils can end up with the near submerged reuquirement, verry little flavor interference. I have some Nife30 from the UK (stealth vape) sofar it feels good like Ti, and the building was easy enough. I will say the break in time was a bit of a downside. not sure about stainless I've heard some rather damning talk about flavor.
  5. In escribe you can save the settings to a file which you should be able to later open and upload onto your different device
  6. I was using this before and still got terrible results
  7. So i nabbed the sweet vapors TC curve (and logo) but im using some amazon Ti wire. It just hasn't worked in TC mode. After 1 day my first build was no longer reading a temp, my second build essentially wouldn't turn blue and when i tested it dry in temp mode it fired blue. sources for my curves: http://www.sweetspotvapors.com/category_s/1856.htm is it possible that this amazon Ti wire (linked bellow) is just a bad batch from a shifty retailer, am I using the wire wrong? ( i was told to turn it blue then vape on it), should I go with sweet spot or another more reliable coil maker. side note my DNA 200 also seems to think its 81f in my room, its maybe 69f at best. not sure if that contributes. Amazon wire: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0161JUHEW WHAT I WAS DOING WRONG (THIS IS A WARNING TO ALL FELLOW NOOBS) 1 wraps must be perfectly even 2 must be sure that you haven't pinched the wire (for temp control this seems to be a universal must) 3 when building claptons remember the wire will slide around so make extra as to avoid accidentally claptoning the outer material rather than the inner).
  8. made some twisted 26g Titanium wire 8 wraps either side (16 since it was two wires) and for some reason the temp mode doesn't even try to calculate resistance that said 30g nickle with 38g nichrome works fine. I made sure they turned blue before using them, all the connections where tight and for about a night it seemed to be working (no dry hits) but when I had a dry hit I did a hard reset tried it coils again and managed to light my cotton on fire. Switched to a week old nickle build and everything worked like you would expect
