  1. A piece of wire seems to do the job on other 18650 DNA mods. What result would there be if one of these componets were to become open?
  2. It's reassembled at the moment. That would make them act as a fuse as well as bridge the connection would it not?
  3. So my plan was to open up my reuleaux and cut the small black wire then see the results. When I removed the battery sled I saw something that I didn't expect to see (even though I don't know what it is). The number 1 and 3 are not jumpered to the battery connections with a piece of wire but with what ever the picture here is. On the component used it it black and marked "0" not 205 like the included picture. So I stopped the "experiment" and put it back together. Here is what the component looks like:
  4. You might try going into Windows Device Manager and un-installing it then right click and select scan for new hardware or simply re-boot with DNA connected, might work, might not.
  5. First just let me say that this is just the result of "thinking about it" so keep that in mind. Here is a screen of my good working Wismec with no batteries. Here is a diagram that was posted by VapingBad: I very well might be all wet on this but I believe that the small black wire going to #1 is open or has a bad solder joint on one end or the other. Additionally I have been considering that the projections of the case where the board screws to and grounds may not be providing a good ground also.... just thinking out loud here though.
  6. I found 23 "4d36e978-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318" entries in the left side pane on my Win 7 64 machine.

  8. Go here: http://evolvapor.forumchitchat.com/ Choose your category, near the top right choose "new topic". You can usually choose the category within the new posts page also.
  9. On the charge rate if plugged into a computer and the mod sees a data path a .5 amp rate is the most you will get.
  10. A description of what the same problem is would get more answers.
  11. Right after I got my first DNA200 mod (Opus) I screwed in my Magma clone with it's extra long 510 and pushed the 510 insulator down a mm or so. I simply screwed it back in from the inside. To eliminate it happening again I placed an o-ring on the threaded part of the Magma's 510 as a "stop". When I feel the o-ring compressing I stop tightening.
  12. This might be worth a try http://blogs.vmware.com/kb/2010/02/how-to-boot-into-windows-safe-mode-in-your-vm.html
  13. The board has a 23 amp max input and after stepping it down has a 50 amp output (55 amp pulse) So there is nothing to gain by setting it higher. It's fused for 25 amp input I believe.
  14. Just thinking, perhaps it was a needed re-boot causing to hit harder. Just guessing here as I noticed no change in that area.
  15. After reading your post I wound my first ss 430 coil. Tried it the way it was and a bit springy so I torched it and it wound just like Kanthal. I didn't mount it as yet. I'm late to try SS, this arrived from a friend so I'm not sure the vendor. It is 28 gauge also.
  16. You are uploading the changed settings to the device after setting them, right?
  17. In EScribe under the "Mod" tab, maufacturers settings. If you don't know what to set it to then set it to zero.
  18. I reverted back to the earlier firmware and uninstalled the test EScribe and reinstalled the recommended EScribe. What I got upon installation was the "Found new hardware wizard" (XP) which I canceled this time, It installed and worked just fine. It was for USB serial port btw.
  19. 7 & 10 64, oh and XP 32 I'm not sure which one(s) asked to find a driver
  20. When I installed the "test" EScribe Windows had to locate another (extra) driver.
  21. I have never done it so I can't say, maybe someone will chime in on the subject. Edit: https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/threads/hotcig-dna200.698409/page-22#post-16708334
  22. If it were me I would go ahead and do the USB recovery charge just to see where the device stands. There were quite a few early Hotcig DX200's arriving with voltages similar to yours. The battery probably has some scars and needs watched during charging but should come back.
