  1. Am I correct in thinking it will do voltage step up as well as down? Just thinking out loud I guess. LOL
  2. It offers a way to tell it to just "go ahead and install it" does it not? Don't worry It was not submitted to MS to be certified (and too late now to do so, no more work on XP by MS) Oh I missed it, I was thinking install, still should be able to download, perhaps try a different browser if the option to continue is not present.
  3. Does the mod appear to work properly otherwise?
  4. I'm afraid I can't be much help but I'm thinking that you mean that you checked the voltage on each cell on the balance connector with a meter, is that correct? Did this board by chance get juice leaked on the bottom of the board at the balance connector?
  5. Here's another choice (no it's more than $1), they will handle the board warranty with Evolv. http://www.protovapor.com/product/third-party-evolv-dna-device-board-replacement/
  6. For Evolv's RMA start here: http://helpdesk.evolvapor.com/index.php?a=add RMA= sending back to manufacturer for fixing. (return merchandise authorization) I doubt if Wismec will assist you, perhaps the vendor where you bought it will help.
  7. for the profile that you are going to use turn the temperatue off in EScribe. Or turn temperature off from the mod, it's next setting after 600F.
  8. Here's a link were I compared a lipo with 18650's, both packs were at 12.6 volts at firing. /topic/67734-topic/?do=findComment&comment=909671
  9. I just gave it a try, first 1 second, then 5 seconds. It didn't fire. It said return to researcher..scary...I put it back...all is fine now.
  10. As far as I know your only choice would be to lock it, I don't think the max firing time is adjustable.
  11. I was thinking that might be a good possibility.
  12. A friend of mine has a black and white VTbox200. It has the rubberized coating and the coating itself is holding up very well with one exception, the white has yellowed. It might have been the result of oils on his hands though. He owns a taco shop.
  13. Can you put up a picture of the bottom of the board where the wires attach?
  14. In your 1st post it shows it powered on with the battery, I don't think it would be able to do that with a bad fuse. Does your battery have plugs or did you have to solder the wires to the board? Are you sure that the first battery was bad? What was the problem do you think with the first battery? I'm hoping to get some more info posted on it so when the folks more experience than me come on maybe they will have something to add.
  15. So if increased output could be done with a firmware update, say 225 watts, would it not require a higher amp fuse?
  16. That sounds like it wouldn't be cost effective then as you can just reduce the charge on a standard quality pack to 12.3 and achieve the same end. Edit: I forgot to add the "not" to "wouldn't"....I corrected that.
  17. Would it still be 1300 Mah when charged to just 12.6 volts? That's as high as the board will charge it I think.
  18. I use this calculator http://www.the12volt.com/ohm/ohmslawcalculators.asp It going to be hot ohms
  19. Fading I guess, it looks just like the rest of them that I have.
  20. I received my Protovapor Silo today, a great job they did. It came properly set up and included a nice cable, instructions and warranty card. So a big shout out to Evolv, Protovapor and Modcrate.
  21. That comes out to 6.17 volts, looks like you nailed it VB EDIT: it appears that I plugged in some wrong numbers into the calculator...5.96v it is.
  22. Have you tried another device that uses data on that same USB port? Tried another USB port or even another computer? Has the computer been rebooted since noticing this problem? Have you tried a different usb cable?
  23. The bottom paragraph in the link below explains it better than I would have. /topic/68073-topic/?do=findComment&comment=912472
