  1. I think that the short black and short red wire could have been omitted but I'm just guessing. I believe that + an - on the balance taps are connected internally on the board to battery +and -.
  2. Same for 2S Lipo /topic/66226-topic/?do=findComment&comment=895167
  3. Axis Vapes site states that they use a Varitube 22 mm flat 510. I have one in front of me and the output wire gets soldered into the 510 pin same as a FDV v3 and just about all others. Still could be a problem with the spring or the insulator (from excessive heat) but the spring is not part of the electrical path. I'd be checking this with atomizer analyzer in EScribe as well a comparing live ohms and cold ohms between the two mods using the same (cooled) atty in device monitor. Note the percentage the ohms changes from cold to hot with same settings. Also what is mod resistance set to on the M17?
  4. The idea of changing the numbers threw in an added element of confusion, I had to sketch it out and refer to my extra lipo's plug. I should have just put the two pictures up in front of me, it would have been easier.
  5. I'm missing something here. Warning this plug is numbered incorrectly, should be from left to right 3, 2, 1, gnd
  6. Using the diagram in post #6 I have double checked it and got the same as I previously posted. Is the diagram in post #6 correct?
  7. Can't you check it for continuity? Between the bridge between the two batteries and which ever pin the white wire goes to.
  8. Here's the voltages using your pin numbering and batteries @ 4 volts ea. 1 + 3 = 4 volts 2 + 3 = 4 volts 1 + 4 = 8 volts 2 + 4 = 8 volts 3 + 4 = 4 volts 1 + 2 are bridged so 0 Anyone using this just keep in mind that the pin numbers being used are not Evolv's numbers
  9. My guess is there's something wrong with the balance connector or it's wiring on the sled. Take a good look at the pins of the jst connector of the sled also. Measure the voltages off the balance connector. I'll have to locate what they are, I'll be back. Maybe this will help: /topic/66226-topic/?do=findComment&comment=895167
  10. Yes http://evolvapor.com/dna200.php 2nd item on page. A bit of instructions here, more to be found on this forum. http://evolvapor.com/datasheet/dna200.pdf
  11. I put two lengths of 28 gauge SS 430 in my drill and twisted them pretty tight, repeated using another two pieces resulting in two lengths of twisted pairs. Then I put the two pieces of twisted pairs into drill and twisted them in the opposite direction that they were previously twisted. Wrapped about 7 times, 3 mm id. This is the end piece that I didn't use.
  12. This threads a good read for those unfamiliar with it. The subject that your talking about seems to begin around here: https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/threads/tc-beyond-ni200-nickel-purity-dicodes-ti-ss-resistherm-nife30-coefficient-of-resistance.676506/page-2#post-15852083
  13. Most interesting, I'm now running it. (on a 200)
  14. Not to long ago a friend sent me a sample of 28 gauge SS 430. It has a decent resistance change when heated compared to 316/317. Easy to wrap also. Here's a live view of my Serpent firing a coil made of 4 strands of SS 430, I'm still experimenting with it but I think this is the wire I'll be using from now on.
  15. Well if you get energetic enough maybe switch screens between the two mods.
  16. Does the mod fire OK when with USB cable connected?
  17. You might try comparing/changing some of the screen settings, just grabbing at straws here though. I'm a light sleeper myself, comes from working night shift for 20 years.
  18. If using a non temp wire like Kanthal it will automatically go into power mode. If you want to use a temp wire in power mode there are a couple of choices, turn temp off on desired profile in EScribe and upload to device or scroll through the temp settings on the device till you get to "OFF" and select with fire button.
  19. Unless you hit the "restore defaults" button the factory settings should have stayed as is. The battery appears to be the same as the Hotcig DX200 (Fullymax 900) so you can probably use the settings for that. It's 10 Wh.
  20. I am using the latest beta EScribe and firmware, *** 2016-02-29 EScribe 1.0.42 **, it will let me enter .00092. But I have no 316 wire so I can't try it out. It appears to me that the 316 in EScribe is already using that value. I must admit that I'm some what confused as I come up with .00088 when using Steamengine. Everything seems to indicate that .00092 is the correct value, I'm not sure how I came up with .00088....LOL
  21. Here: http://evolvapor.forumchitchat.com/post/early-firmware-7508618?pid=1291935653
  22. I "nic'd" this picture from one of VapingBad's posts, check to see if those two big square inductors are still firmly attached. It's easy enough to check 'em.
  23. I'm not too sure then. There are 3 spring loaded negative contacts, each with a spring. The only other spring used I believe is inside the 510. Perhaps one of the magnets "acquired" it by accident.
