  1. Escribe 'Help' -> 'Backups' and choose one from before hitting that Default option
  2. Great to hear.
  3. Buying from a reputable supplier for those batteries is best. Here's a Mooch link for batteries and suppliers. https://bit.ly/3busyvf Had it been sitting for a while, or did something happen just prior to it just no longer working? Welcome
  4. Is that mod actually a regular black and white screen with 3 batteries, or an internal Lipo battery? You posted in the 'color' section, but I can move it if necessary. For starters the cells look low, too low to work, but when you plugged in the cable, did the screen light up? If you look at the very bottom line where it says Mode: Normal, over to the right it will show/detect button presses. Over and on the left it shows the watts set at at 80.30, so if you press the up/down button, that value should increment/decrement
  5. @pleasedeleteme We are not Evolv employees. Direct your request to the link posted below. https://helpdesk.evolvapor.com/?a=add
  6. @pleasedeleteme It took more time for you change your username, upload a new picture, quote me and then write that request than it would to unfollow the thread and sign on at your leisure. Just don't sign on any longer if you wish. * We're all under much stress during this pandemic and if people can at least talk/help someone about a somewhat relevant topic instead of staring at the walls, it's a good thing
  7. @craw We moderators see ALL postings. We're just chilled If it's bothering you, you can just unfollow this thread. Then you won't get any more email updates.
  8. DJLSB vapes has put out some good videos on Reply, TC, escribe, etc. for mods with these boards. From back in 2017 I said "... I'll usually vape a new juice in Wattage mode before moving to TC. I have a minty watermelon juice that in TC I totally lose the mint at 420F. And a peanut butter vape, where at certain temps the peanuts will taste burnt, not the whole juice, just the peanuts. But overall, TC will give you a consistent experience and no dry hits." In other words, a linear/singular taste. Now (or during the birth of Replay), the brain trust at Evolv said this "As for flavor, different flavor molecules boil and are primarily tasted at different temperatures. .... Temperature control, by contrast, tends to taste 'muted', because the vast majority of the puff is at a fixed, instead of changing, temperature" pretty much validating my experiences. Enjoy your mod
  9. That's all correct. Replay gives you the 'dry hit' protection of TC, without the TC. Notice I never once mentioned a temp. But 'yes' you can also enable that in the SS profile, BUT WHY?
  10. You don't need to plug it in. Just go to that Replay profile. Ideally the material type says something like watt or kanthal. Don't change it. Adjust your watts to what you like, take a few puffs, 'select' the Replay option when you like the puff. Ideally it'll say something like enabled or playing. There should be a cancel or stop option somewhere. Unfortunately themes are like the Wild West and designers can make them however they please.
  11. Start vaping in a profile that supports Replay. No material file required for straight Replay (as conceived by Evolv). If you don't understand something written, let us know.
  12. Here's a video showing how you can run and create your own. https://youtu.be/pNsAHmZ-E0o?t=0 All you need is an RDA , a couple loops of wire, a fan, and an hour of your time. There's no longer a Watt hour setting on color boards.
  13. I wouldn't say so. Those numbers are well within the mod limits. The numbers depend on many things including air-flow. IRL I have vaped an air Crown 3 at 125 watts and it wasn't hot at all. It's just what you prefer for that setup.
  14. That's really a personal preference thing. I'd say many are in the 380-480°F range. Welcome

  16. Sorry about that. I missed the 'and you said it wasn't you' part. Almost had madness and mayhem running rampant here I checked over there, April 13, 2016 (Sounds like a Friday). Moderator Edit: Juicy bits removed due to Rules 10 and 12 I'd put my hand up for abusive and aggressive (if they were children), but not the other two. OOPS, I think there's a rule about not quoting or posting PM's, and no bad mouthing moderators over there. If so, this message will self destruct.
  17. Who knew there was a 'Retired' and a 'retird' moderator over there. Man, years ago I got sent my first and only ever warning and my post removed by 'retired'. I even asked you once @retird if that was you. Moderator Edit: Juicy bits removed due to Rules 10 and 12 I still have that tank, pristine in its shrink-wrap if anyone wants a pic. (I was rebuilding those tiny Aspire BVC coils with SS) and didn't want to do other factory coils.
  18. If you start escribe without selecting a mod, you can choose to create a new one. The default theme there is the current default for each board type. I know there have been changes to the default over time. Some like the watt increment value has been mentioned in the release notes without fanfare. SP 15.1 was either from .1 to .5 or what you noticed IIRC
  19. @Jetro, no apologies or explanations necessary at all. I respect your and comrade @zark's input and ideas. I hope you are well. I always support testing! Stay well, stay safe, keep inspiring others.
  20. TLDR - Much cleaner, quicker and more accurate to follow my initial suggestion IMHO. A few comments and clarifications Your SS316L should ONLY be increasing in Ω's ~20% for normal vaping temperatures or ~25% with the jacked up profiles. Much respect to jaquith in the early years. I just checked @Jetro's theme and you can indeed change the material type within a profile. You can make all the notes you want and manually change them to your hearts content if you wish, but the board actually has much greater precision than either of you imagine. Here's an exact copy and paste from 75C this morning. And those minor mΩ changes are accurate as the cold Ω of a coil is always based on resistance and room temperature. 0.330322266Ω (cold ohm) @ 72.40625°F (room temp) <- And yes, my home thermostat is set at 72°F Bowing out again.
  21. Why not just change the material type within the 1 profile. Also, why not just use Evolv's standard SS316 profile? Those jaquith profiles were for a specific batch of UD wire from years ago. The TCR was in between SS316 and SS430
  22. @Jetro i think our comrade is mistaken. He has brought it up before and was mentioned to him it was a browser function of Chrome. Latest time from his last comment here.
  23. Your problem description sounded like a dead/dying screen to me. The board itself is a warrantable item but not the screen. Screens are sold by multiple vendors including evolv, here, if you want to try that. A search here for white screen will show the threads.
  24. What did they say? How are they helping you? Do what?
  25. After you do that, did you upload those settings to the mod? OR, could there be a darkened opaque cover over the actual screen?
