**Request** Firmware Version
dwcraig1 replied to DireHavok's topic in EScribe, Software and Firmware
It's in the bottom right corner of device monitor in EScribe. -
I replaced mine with a Turnigy 1300 but ended up that the Lion Power battery was OK, just unbalanced. Take a look at this post: /topic/67772-topic/?do=findComment&comment=910038

Reuleaux DNA 200 Screen Ribbon Fix Yes/No
dwcraig1 replied to Teehippster57's topic in General Discussion
Just a comment about when I fixed mine. As I was pulling up the screen up all I could think about was " gee this is stuck on there pretty good, I hope that it doesn't pull any components off the board with it". And it did not. -
Thanks

How does one go about setting the current to zero in EScribe?

Reuleaux DNA 200 Screen Ribbon Fix Yes/No

I took near 10 minutes to do mine only because I'm paid by the hour (did it at work) LOL -
Reuleaux DNA 200 Screen Ribbon Fix Yes/No
dwcraig1 replied to Teehippster57's topic in General Discussion
I thought I'd do mine here at work but don't have a small enough Philips screw driver. I did look at the tutorial and suggest putting tape across the up and down buttons and face plate prior to removing the face plate to hold them in place. Here is the link to the FB page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1057199624324956/ EDIT: I do have a precision straight edge screw driver set here at work so I used it with no problem but I did need some assistance getting the screws started back in, that was accomplished using the same round tooth pick that I used to fold the screen back as a screw starter. Done, easy job. -
Reuleaux DNA 200 Screen Ribbon Fix Yes/No
dwcraig1 replied to Teehippster57's topic in General Discussion
I shall have a look at mine tomorrow.....providing it makes it through work. -
I'll throw out what I've noticed, the fire button appears to be in the same spot but the screen, up and down buttons and USB port are not so another face plate is needed. Edit: I see it now, just the screen position appears a bit off.

Sorry, I see that you stated that already in the first post.

There are at least 3 NiFe30's available and they all have a different setting, where did you buy yours?

My dna 200 reuleaux Battery reads dead
dwcraig1 replied to BILLYROCK's topic in Manuals, Instructions, and Tutorials
The first thing I'd be looking at are those rings around the positive connector for the batteries. If the wrapper is to thick or the positive button on the battery doesn't protrude as is should no contact will be made. This is how they did the reverse battery protection (with the rings). The rings should be left the way they are and the battery replaced or corrected (if that's the cause) If just the two inside batteries make connection the board is still able to power on but not vape...BTW -
From their web site: "Dear WISMEC Customers: Breaking news! Because we are now limited by the capacity and supply chain of our materials (screens), we cannot possibly meet the huge and evergrowing demand for the Reuleaux DNA200. In an attempt to satisfy this enormous demand, Wismec will be launching the Reuleaux RX200. The RX200, a new version of the Reuleaux series, designed by JayBo, still retains its unique feature of three removable 18650 batteries and reverse polarity protection. However, the new and powerful chip utilizes on board reverse polarity and has maximum output of 200 temperature controlled watts. These temperature functions include Titanium, Nickel and Stainless Steel modes. The new and proprietary chip has upgradable firmware and comes in new color options and can be easily distinguished. Click:http://www.wismec.com/product/reuleaux-rx200/ to find more details about the Wismec RX200. Thank you for your time. WISMEC Marketing Team November 23rd, 2015"

Sounds like good advise to me. I have zero complaints as to how well it works especially at the wattage I use. I have 1 dna40 board left, maybe I'll build something with it.

Prior to seeing the pictures of the wires I ordered 4 Samsung 25r's, they came in a couple of days ago. When I got them charged up I installed them in my Wismec and compared the voltage drop @ 100 watts to the Mxjo 3000's that I had previously tested, the result was the Samsung's fared just slightly better (just). I decided to stay with the Mxjo's thinking maybe they really are 3000 mah. My 18 gauge silicone wire arrives today, still on the fence as to whether or not to use it, I doubt if it will be worth the effort but may do it anyway.

The ground strap coming off the battery cradle is doing it's job well (also is the 510 ground), I measured voltage between battery #1 negative and the base of atty while firing @ 28 watts and got 0.02 volts. It's good that they didn't make it out of aluminum from "the" hat.
-
Ya that sounds right, balance tap, I wasn't thinking about that. Thanks. No problem all all there then.
-
The length of that wire and it's light gauge sure looks like a problem.
-
That spot where the long red wire makes the bend, is that melted plastic from the wire getting hot? My wire will be here in a couple of days.
-
I suppose but it would be just as easy or easier to replace them. I think there's little to be gained by changing them though, seems the 18650's might be more of where the voltage drop comes from.

I was looking for where the battery sled grounded, not the board. The screw under the foam plug isn't tamper proof, the foam may be a means of determining if it was tampered with though. I think it may be where the sled grounds. It screws into the hole next to negative output pad

Here is live view of Wismec at 180 watts: And Vapecige firing at 180 watts: Maybe just a difference in the batteries, maybe the wire gauge, maybe both. But if I were a power user I'd stick with the lipo. I really like the Wismec regardless.
