Did you upload settings to device? Hey had to ask.

extremely weak vape no matter what I try.

I've been thinking about this for awhile. Not to suggest that too light of gauge wire was used here on the output but I'd like to know if doing so would fool the board into thinking the coil was hotter than it actually is. My thoughts in this case go towards the 510's solder joints, both on the board and on the socket. If one of the joints were faulty but still good enough to read the cold ohms correctly(no load) would this be the result? -
So now what I wonder. I thought maybe mine was skewed due to heavy use running the battery down to low enough to do the test. It sat there for an hour waiting for temp to steady. Mine was done with room temp at 75 F but I'm not sure if it matters as long as you enter the correct room temp. It would be great if John would comment on this subject.

In the case (no pun intended)of quite a few of the China mod makers this has not been done so the Evolv settings are in place.
-
I posted this in another forum that sells these and got this response: "...if one is calculating the average temperature of 10 objects in a room, and nine of them are between 20 and 25 degrees Celsius, but the tenth is an oven at 175 °C, themedian of the data will be comprised between 20 and 25 °C but the meantemperature will be between 35.5 and 40 °C. In this case, the median better reflects the temperature of a randomly sampled object than the mean; naively interpreting the mean as "a typical sample", equivalent to the median, is incorrect." Just felt like I had to share that with you. Anyway, your DX200 Case Analyzer Resultsare totally incoherent/inconsistent and out of a proper context to even take them into account by anyone here, or for any point you may had wanted to make with'em."(end of qoute) Does anyone see something "wrong" with these figures? I must say though that most of the folks in that forum are either anti Evolv or have no idea what it is.

Need Temp Control Help (Opus 200)
dwcraig1 replied to a topic in Manuals, Instructions, and Tutorials
If I had this problem I would start off putting a short piece of copper wire shorting the posts of a dripper atty and check just what figures I got with atomizer analyzer. If there is too high resistance between the 510 and atty caused by a bad connection between the two 510 pins the result will be as described. -
Thermal results for my Hotcig DX200 This is what I got, it sure looks unusual though compared to others.

Well I guess I need to learn how to read, the mod's screen said "OHMS TOO HIGH" not "LOW".... DUH (tungsten no doubt)
-
"Low Ohms" would come on the screen of the mod periodically so I stopped it, will try again with two lamps in series. My cold ohms was 0.5 and I had to turn off TP as it went to immediate TP when firing.
-
What does the board do with the settings of case analyzer, is it for TC accuracy?
-
Well folks, the above setup failed due to " LOW OHMS", I'll run the battery down vaping it tonight as I want to run the case analyzer. I understand that 1 ohm is recommended.
-
Here's my setup, a 12 volt 35 watt quartz bulb. About 0.5 ohm cold. I haven't done it yet but this is what I probably will use. There is quite a bit of heat so care must be taken, at least the heat it away from the mod.

Hotcig DX200 stopped working after less than 2 days use.

That's also the brand of the battery inside. So I thought I'd give the Hot Fire charger a try. I've read that it may over charge. Finished at 12.71 volt according to my meter. About 4.24 per cell I guess, not the best, could have been worse. -

I just about replaced it just to get it off my mind but it really works OK so I'm leaving it be for now. -

I would rather used a 7 x .50 mm bolt but I only have the tap. Screw nut onto the tap as shown, then washer, then receiver and screw into 510. Hold tap from turning and screw nut downward drawing 510 into nylon sleeve. My nut here is a VS rDNA 510 with it's one end drilled out. Crude but effective. -

Re 510: I measured the voltage between the battery negative and base of atty (0.35?) while firing and got 0.14 volts on my Hotcig and 0.03 volts on my Opus. I made up a little puller to pull the pressed in one out to replace with a FD v3 shorty. The hold back for me is possible need of warranty and it works just fine. -
Gee, folks complaining about not being 1800 mah, I'm more worried it's not 35C.

As I don't have mine as yet I was going by the dimensions listed for the Lion Power 1500 35c. DNA200 works fine with 7.4 volt pack but only outputs 133 watts. [/QUOTE]

My plan for my Vapecige box was to convert it to dual 18650's but it appears that it may be about 5 mm too short lengthwise for a sled. Perhaps someone would be so kind to measure the area for the battery and post it. A couple good 18650's could provide 22 wh.

In EScribe using the "Mod" tab, charging mode. If set to "maximum puffs" it will charge to 4.2 volts per cell and if set to "maximum recharges" it will charge to 4.1 volts per cell.

A bad connection with the atty at the 510 whether it be the ground or the output would have the same result, check that center pin to atty connection as well. -
Keep in mind than if the DNA board sees a data path present it will only charge up to 0.5 even with USB 3.0
