First off I can't imagine a computer USB putting out that much power. Do you have a volt meter where you can measure the actual voltage of the battery?
-
Probably best to start the process here: https://helpdesk.evolvapor.com/index.php?a=add&category=1

The maximum voltage output on a Go board is around 3.5 volts, figure from there what resistance is needed to attain up to 30 watts. An Orion DNA pod can barely handle 20 watts with the 0.25 one, less with the .5

Poor connections between the cells and board need to be ruled out. You should be able to get your full power setting in non TC until your cells sag to below the Cell Soft Cutoff. The misfiring , does that happen when using EScribe to fire it? Would you post a snippet like this one?

Constant temp protect warning in wattage mode
dwcraig1 replied to Calvary_Creations's topic in Modders' Forum
I've been vaping for about 7 years now and I'm not sure if I've ever seen an aluminum 510 . In the old days a lot of them were nickle plated brass and they wore quite quickly. Most all of today's 510's are stainless steel. The colored one generally have coating similar to what's used on fire arms. This coating if on the on threads interferes with conduction. The DNA250 board model wise is about as good of a board has one can get, that being said my guess is some type of connection issue between the board and the coil. The lower the ohms of the load the more critical accurate connections become. -
It appears to me that the Jazz had a name change

I deleted my post about the warm atty a few minutes after posting as I was unsure if it was the cause.

Has another USB cable been tried? -
There have been many known cases where the fire button pinches the ribbon cable of the screen .
-
Use Device Monitor in Escribe to determine if it has a resistance change from cold to hot, it is my understanding that this material is similar to Kanthal which is not a TC material. EScribe will help you determine that.

It's not a curve but should work just as well as the curve is almost linear anyway. It may make a slight difference, might not, use the one that seems to work best.

Is USB charging BRICKING ALL my DNAs?!
dwcraig1 replied to vapesmooth234's topic in Batteries and Charging
When ever there is a cell with an impossible voltage reading like the one that is 5.22 volt the battery management IC has gone bad. -

While I have no real idea I have seen this before caused by a wonky USB cable/port. -

The 2nd fire is using SteamEngine's Alloy 52, other 3 are for NiFe 48 Zivipf NiFe is 400 (or 0.004) Alloy 52 is 403.6 (or 0.00436)

I was hoping Wayne would show up this morning. I put a coil of Zivipf NiFe48 in a RBA, it's 2 strands of tightly twisted 26 gauge. Included here is the correct CSV for temp coefficient of NiFe48. 48 and 52 are close but not the same. The snip is of using setting for both 48 and 52, 48 is on the far left and far right, forget the center ones. What I was wanting to see was the increase in resistance when heated, note it darn near doubles. Preheat is set to 75 watts. NiFe48.csv

Does Device Monitor in EScribe show any of the cells above 4.2 volts? -

Evolv will warranty the new board from Protovapor with your installation. On your VT250S, ask them here: https://helpdesk.evolvapor.com/index.php?a=add&category=1 Was the same powered hub used to charge these, possibly a problem, worth a mention. -
Use Windows Snipping tool available in Win 7 and above.

Replay will work with Kanthal or Nichrome coils only when there are numerous poor connections between the board and coil resulting in a resistance change due to voltage loss between the parts. Only TC wire is supported with Replay, Nichrome and Kanthal are not.

It might be best to contact James here, might not see it otherwise. https://helpdesk.evolvapor.com/index.php?a=add&category=5

The firmware is for each specific board only. Use Device Monitor in EScribe to assist you in finding the problem. Note the voltage drop when firing vs what the Cell Soft Cutoff is set at, sould be 2.75 volts default. It's your battery can't output enough power or the connections from the battery to board are at fault. There are no firmware updates for the 75C for awhile now, most likely because it doesn't need one.

https://downloads.evolvapor.com/dna250color.pdf Another choice would be to send it to Evolv for repair, start here: https://helpdesk.evolvapor.com/index.php?a=add&category=1
