  1. Hey @hellraiser_lux I'm not copyman BUT if you're running SP17 (which has already been identified as having a Theme Designer issue) you might want to downgrade to SP15, see if you can load the theme, then back to SP17. OR wait for the next release. Just sayin.
  2. My 2 new sealed Paranormals came the same way. Each with 6 puffs, then a reset. IIRC puffs ranged from .5 to 1.5 seconds each. I figure it was just 'test' fires at some point. Seemed reasonable to me, but I had not seen it ever before.
  3. 3 years ago I started with Ni and Ti on a crappy Ego One Mega tank. Now I only used Ni as a reference for other wires. Ohms out too low for me. I primarly use Ti and SS316L or SS430. Funny, not funny question. If I'm continually going in and out I'll lock the resistance, otherwise not. There is a board temp sensor, but the mod is mainly kept in an interior pocket. No issues for me in cold with 70VG juice
  4. I'm a TC vaper, and use both contact and spaced coils successfully. I build to the size of the deck and the resistance I want to hit. IMHO, the main benefit of spaced coils are due to no hotspots in the coil. Hotspots in a coil are like Kryptonite to Superman (TC killer).
  5. Damn @AMDtrucking,easy swap? It looked like it could work, shoulda figured you'd be all over it.
  6. @retird and @SirTimmyTimbit and @joeblowma I can attest to what Joe wrote. I'm using a modified evolv theme. On my mod, I'm TC only. Around 5% of the time, usually around .7 seconds, all power to the mod is cut and Temp Protected shown on the screen. From my 1st pic, look at 'Peak' Temp value, although it's not displayed by the graph. The 510 soldering has been checked. I've been using this atty for months with no issues on regular DNAs (75, 200, 250). Temp set at 420F, Peak temp 453F shown below. The second image (puff 2215) shows before and after successful operation if you look at the puff times. I don't think any of you guys are crazy. The power, once the coil is coming up to temp, never lowers, so if the puff were to continue, It would overshoot.
  7. Maybe a small 3S 11.1V Lipo Pack. ~900mAh x3 somewhere around 9-10Wh can be similar size to a single 26650. Here are the dimensions of one, so you'd need to know your internal room available. Dimensions (mm): 19.8 x 26 x 70
  8. Don't buy from Amazon or ebay if you can help it.
  9. Holy Jesus man. Buy some new batteries. I'd suggest something off the Mooch recommended list, along with buying from a reputable seller on his list if you can. That sag (black line) says they're old, or of very low amperage, among other things.
  10. You'd set yourself up for more success if you use SS as the core wires. The 'wrap' wire is just along for the ride. So, you'll just have to try it. Good luck.
  11. This should work. Device Monitor -> Diagnostics -> Clock
  12. @DeanOfTheGreen You're already running the latest, which is "version: 1.2 SP5"
  13. Your answers. 1. Yes. Default on the mod is fine. Or you can get TFRs from steam-engine or create custom TCRs in escribe. 2. Yes. Find the watts you like in regular vaping with the coil, and set that +20% as your Power value. Starting around 200C, increase temp till you reach the temperature of the vape till you like it. If you look in Device Monitor, once your coil reaches your set temp, the watts will drop lower
  14. Can ya do a full printscreen of your Profile 7
  15. Alrighty, can you do one last printscreen while taking a puff. Using the mod in that last Printscreen (ByrdBuild#2). Same atty and coil used there. Using your Profile 7 like in the PS, but ONLY with these checkboxes ticked.
  16. Then no. If your mod is always reading the live ohms/resistance of your coil, why would you think you would need to re-measure? But there's no harm whatsoever if you do, as it won't matter
  17. Can you post a full Printscreen of 'Device Monitor'
  18. @greenj22 Are you going to leave that permanently soldered? I notice a BB on your bench, and my connections are always removable cuz I just couldn't figure how to mount the board
  19. Aahhh, yup, that's correct. What you're looking for is Boost Punch while in Watts mode. It's a slider from 1-11, proportional up to 100 watts for 1 second.
  20. @AMDtrucking The board is limited by software, not hardware. Just download and install the latest International version
  21. @StephenGong2000 I never said the word resistance even once. Go run it the watts you think then. Mine were only suggestions.
  22. @Nembo Open a trouble ticket with Evolv. They will guide you. From your description, the battery management chip is gone/blown.
  23. Running your own battery analyzer Full batteries to start You need some sort of RDA/atty on top. Coil built as a few (4) tennis ball sized loops of straight wire. And a fan to keep it all cool, blowing on the loops. Run the battery analyzer at 40w When complete, save and upload to your device.
