Frogmod Posted August 4, 2016 Report Posted August 4, 2016 Got my 250 today doing a test run making sure it works. Can't connect to escride I'm sure it will connect once the new version comes out. The board isn't coated cuz of limited run of these, good thing I have some clear electrical lacquer. For a second I thought it was DOA cuz I just connected the USB and nothing was working but when I connected the battery it worked
Frogmod Posted August 4, 2016 Report Posted August 4, 2016 Here are some profile picks there is a total of 8.
Frogmod Posted August 5, 2016 Report Posted August 5, 2016 last week a customer at the vape shop wanted a anodize gold dna 200 box mod I was about to install one but the 1/4Kw chip came out. He has no clue that he's getting this chip. I can already see him rubbing it in everyone's face LOL!!! This is how I build my mods with no glue except to hold the screen in.
Ginger Posted August 5, 2016 Report Posted August 5, 2016 And the dual 18650 setup....

And you gave away your Dna250!
Frogmod Posted August 8, 2016 Report Posted August 8, 2016 Yeah :-( I wanted to keep the board but I had to sell it before the 8th deadline. My dna200 is keeping me happy for now till I can buy some more 250's
antyac2108 Posted August 12, 2016 Report Posted August 12, 2016 Is there any word on the data sheet? I just received my 250 and would like to read the data sheet before i install.
dylang919 Posted September 2, 2016 Report Posted September 2, 2016 Is the DNA 250 getting canceled?? I heard that it was and I was wondering why?
antyac2108 Posted September 2, 2016 Report Posted September 2, 2016 No it's going to be available in quantities in October
dylang919 Posted September 2, 2016 Report Posted September 2, 2016 For certain? Just want to make sure because I have a few mods waiting on them. Lol!!
antyac2108 Posted September 2, 2016 Report Posted September 2, 2016 Message: Hi Anthony, They will be in full production in October with as many as anyone wants available! Thanks, Nick Coutris Evolv, Inc
wildan.abp Posted September 4, 2016 Report Posted September 4, 2016 Would you make ohms override on MOD please...
jrburns419 Posted September 4, 2016 Report Posted September 4, 2016 Does this update the dna 200 and make it 250

VapingBad Posted September 4, 2016 Report Posted September 4, 2016 Yeah, Evolv don't do that sneaky trick of releasing a mod with a power leval it can almost do for the review cycle then boosting the power in fw to levels it can't do unless the battery is full and the sun is out to boost sales after the reviewers have moved on to the next device. It's hardware that limits the ability to handle power.
mfj Posted September 4, 2016 Report Posted September 4, 2016 My DNA 250 is having issues holding 2 amps at charging for some reason. Anyone test this out? https://youtu.be/2LU-SM6JyPo
VapingBad Posted September 4, 2016 Report Posted September 4, 2016 That is exactly what happens when I try and use more than the 2 A output form a powerbank I am testing ATM, DNA 200 & 1 A charger both get full current, but add another charger and that happens to the DNA 200 charge current. I would say it is probably the supply that is having trouble keeping up.
Spector NS5 RD Posted September 4, 2016 Report Posted September 4, 2016 looks like the same problem that what was happening to the VS DNA 200 boards after the first and second SPx FW updates. jumping up and down in current draw from the usb. try a wall wart that has only 1 output that is 2 amps or over.
mfj Posted September 4, 2016 Report Posted September 4, 2016 I am using a 2.1 amp wall wart charger. It's not adjustable.
BillW50 Posted September 4, 2016 Report Posted September 4, 2016 Do you know how to change the charge current in EScribe? The 1.2 version is different than the older ones. Anyway I would adjust it down until it gets stable. My guess is not all 2.1A USB adapters are the same. Many cheaper ones when pulling 2.1A, the voltage sag is high and the voltage is too low to be usable by many devices.
neva_customs Posted September 15, 2016 Report Posted September 15, 2016 So. is it a firmware or hardware problem with 2A charging? Anyone else with the same issues?
VapingBad Posted September 15, 2016 Report Posted September 15, 2016 I think it is most likely a USB power supply problem, try another 2+ A supply like a powerbank or maybe a friend or colleague has something you could try.
mfj Posted September 15, 2016 Report Posted September 15, 2016 It's definitely not the power supply. I've tried several.
