I got mine lined back out. Evidently the solder points for the balance port got all black and corroded looking....I'm thinking it was from the flux not being cleaned off after installing the port.....I cleaned them all up with alcohol and it looks like new.....I put it all back together and it took a while but it finally balanced back out.I keep checking it as I vase on it and the battery drains and it's staying balanced
-
Are u lifting the tab on the board where the ribbon goes.... Doing what Podunk said works very vell
-
Well it finally balanced back out! For whatever reason the solder points for the balance plug turned black and oxidised looking so I cleaned them up real good with alcohol til they looked new.It was real easy to clean off.. guess it was shorting out a little because of all the black oxidation. ...Don't know why it did that...I'm thinking the flux used might of caused that.......Oh well its back to normal thankfully
-
Already checked all those......The pins for the balance connector were all black a little and I cleaned it off with alcohol.....Think it was from flux.....Hopefully that fixed it.....I think the black build up could of possibly been shorting the pins some......I'll report back but so far it's at 4.18......After cells 1 and 2 are full the board charges very very slow so it takes FOREVER to raise cell 3 even .01
-
I've tried different batteries and they all start off at 4.2 on all cells when new.....It happens after a discharge and recharge......its like cell 3 is using more power possibly or cell 3 isn't balancing......which resistors do I test and what am I looking for exactly
-
Is anyone having problems with cell 3 not getting fully charged or balancing.I have tried different batteries and they all end up .03 less than the rest..I can't run battery analyser because it says battery not full.....This is really bugging me.....Could one of the resistors be bad.....could it be a bug.....John could u chime in on this please?

Fat Daddy and Varitube 510s have a ring that goes on the bottom of the 510 inside the case that u solder the the wire from the out pad to....That's all u have to do to ground it
-
U can either solder the red and black wires to the board or put a plug on it......I posted instructions on your other post
-
The battery will have a jst-xh on it already for the balance plug......The 2 red and black wires is what you r wanting to put the plug on right......u put the female on the battery end and solder a 18 gauge wire to the + and - on the bottom of the board and solder the male plug to those. But if for whatever reason you r just needing to put the jst-xh on you would solder the 4 smaller wires to the female jst plug......Make sure your polarity is correct (your ground wire starts on the same side of the plug as the negative side of the baord) For the power output wires of the battery I would recommend a xt30 plug as they are smaller and what evolved recommends.....just solder that the same as above
-
Cut it off and solder the new one one.....pay attention to the polarity and shrink wrap the soldered areas
-
Dammit boy lol! Do you know what exactly happened?

Sorry must have missed the other details ....

I'm getting this same problem using a maxamps 2250 lipo.....It was working fine for 2 months.....It also seems to be draining cell 3 more than the others and like u said it cuts down the charging amps and never allows it to get full.....I switched batteries to see if it was my chips or battery and both batteries do it
-
My mod that I built myself has been working fine with a maxamps 2250 for 2 months......The last week it is draining the cells especially cell 3 out of wack.....when I charge it it will finally balance out but takes way longer than it used to.....cell 3 will only get to 4.17 So I tried my fully max 900 and changed watt hours like I was suppose to.....It was balanced till I used it and charged it again and now cell 3 will not get to 4.20 in this different battery to Any Ideas John or anybody?

Lmao....I hear ya Brandon

Return Merchandise Authorization. .....basically asking to return or exchange it

Kinda sounds like it may be in stealth mode

I have a problem.....my cell 3 is always.03 to 0.04 lower than the rest.Though I know this is fine my cell 3 will only charge to 4.17.I ordered a power resistor and was wanting to do the battery analyser to finish all the other adjusting the chip allows (case thermal properties and mod resistance) but when I go to do it I can't because it says battery is not full...James or John is there any other way to do this....I have a MaxAmps 2250 in it.....All I know to do is call MaxAmps and request a new one since it had a lifetime warranty but don't know they will want to with this little of a difference. ...Any suggestions? *edit tried a fully max 900 and when I installed it it was balanced and charged to 4.20 on each cell After I used it and went to recharge cell 3 is lower again and will only charge to 4.17 I can't do the battery analyser because it will keep saying battery is not full
-
Well normaly Evolv and ModCrate carry them but not at this time.....If u start a RMA ticket John and Brandon should take care of you
-
It sounds like your screen ribbon cable may have been pinched by the fire button more than likely.....open up the case and take the 3 boards screws out and have a look at the ribbon cable around the fire button....Only do this if you are comfortable with this type of thing
-
I'm pretty sure you have experienced the pinched screen problem almost all Hanas end up getting. .....If u open it up I bet you'll see the screen ribbon has been pinched by the fire button.....contact Hana and start an RMA

My setup with a MaxAmps 2250 has been fine for months and now cell 3 seems to be draining more than the other 2....It charges back fine but when u take a puff with device monitor up u can see cell 3 gets lower.... .any ideas anyone?

Hello from Mod Crate
scoopy replied to Russ ModCrate's topic in Connectors, Components, and Accessories
Blueridgedog. ....It seems the factory where Evolv and Yihi get there screens from caught on fire and is gonna cause a pretty significant shortage....as for how long I haven't heard yet -
OK thanks lol.....its been bugging the hell out of me trying to think of what it meant
