  1. Interesting. .. After running case analyser twice on my mod I'm getting like 6-8 degrees lower than actual room temp
  2. @Nick is there a fairly easy way to add zip charging to the boards us regular consumers have
  3. I've posted the same question but have gotten no response so far.... I to am wondering so I can implement it into some of my custom mods
  4. It shouldn't be a problem just butting against the threads but could be if the lipo pack is directly under the spring loaded pin and could cause a disastrous puncture to the lipo pack......I think u should be OK if this is the case.....If Evolv our anyone else could chime in on the heat issue please correct me
  5. Welcome Qball and you've come to the right place! As you'll see especially after u do some reading on here there is a lot to learn about the chip and the company In general. Everyone on here except for your usual trolls are very knowledgeable and helpful.Evolv is excellent with helping customers solve there problems and fix any problems u may have.Once again welcome to the Evolv DNA 200 forums!
  6. I'd love to try that vape station.....It looks sick as hell and is one hell of an idea for a shop... that was a very intelligent and useful design
  7. If Hcigar don't I'm absolutely sure Evolv will......As Nick stated in one of his threads if the mod maker don't help open a ticket with Evolv and they got your back and will be glad to help....Evolv is excellent when it comes to customer support
  8. Yea I figured when I read your profile and seen you were in Ohio....Congratulations and I'm sure it will be a good fit for you as I've seen your work and it is top notch! Glad to hear this!
  9. I agree Blueridge and Dcc......I have built many custom mods using this chip and have only had one problem which may or may not have been my fault being a resistor that fell off.......I also have one of Evolvs reference beta mods that has been going strong since the beginning. .....All that aside ....Evolv has got to be the best customer support company I have ever seen! If they have a problem they do not care to admit it and they go far and beyond customer support when it comes to a faulty product.....I have seen them many many times replace boards for people when it CLEARLY was the user's fault and not Evolvs. .....I don't get when people make threads like this when all they have to do is open a ticket and Evolv will always make sure you are taken care of even if the chip is not to blame.....This kind of thing really gets to me but hey I guess I am and always will be an Evolv fan boy lol
  10. Anyone know where to get the zip charging daughter board Vaporshark is using in there mods? I would love to be able to add this to my custom mods.If anyone has any details please let me know
  11. Lol......guess that answers the queation...when did u start working for Evolv
  12. scoopy

    Dead Unit

Lol......not laughing at u but cigreens lame ass response
  13. Also u can turn off the message that says temperature protection if u don't want to see that every time u hit it
  14. No because it knows when the cotton is dry.... The preheat works by heating your coil to the preheat temp then throttles back right before it gets there..... its so the coil basically gets to the temp u want it at instantly without having to wait on it to heat up
  15. Ya 350 don't take long at all to hit.....I vale mine at 520
  16. Do u have the mod resistance set..... If set to high I've heard it can do this
  17. 8-21 is the newest escribe and firmware Go to the software thread and then go to the early firmware or early software thread to find the latest one
  18. I just built another mod that has 1 cell quite a bit lower than the others......its not the board or battery but a bad chip I had that I returned that drained one cell lower.....This is a new chip Anyway since I installed the new chip I got cell one at 3.79 cell 2 and 3 at 4.20 and I DO NOT get the unbalanced cell message.....anyone have any ideas why
  19. I have heard bad things about see spot and their wire as well as there spotty csv curves......maybe try a different curve or spider silk. .....Most problems are due to the wrong csv or bad connections
  20. Double check all your solder connections again on the balance tap....that's usually the culprit......or clean them with alcohol on a q tip......With the battery off of course lol......I had a little corrosion in between them before I'm guessing from not cleaning the flux off after soldering and that caused me weird problem's. ....If u can't figure it out it wouldn't hurt to reflow all the solder points for the balance port........also check both sides of the board real close for missing or loose resistors
  21. Don't have a vaporshark but my board was made on 9-16......starting to worry lol.....I just got this replacement board Do u know the date your last chip was made
  22. U can get all different sizes of the reference mod on shapeways. I got one that has a maxamps 2250 in it and I have an authentic evolv reference mod
  23. Build you a 3d print or Hammond B box yourself and u can get up to a 2800 maxamps battery in it I got a larger version of the reference mod 3d printed and it has a maxamps 2250 in it that I get almost 2 days out of vaping at 100+ watts
  24. I had this happening and it ended up being a little corrosion in between the solder pins of the balance port......being this is under warranty I don't know if you would wanna check but that was the case on mine although it never got that far out of whack.....It was just .03 off
