My thinking is that if they can do such and amazing job controlling input current and voltage, then the same should be for the output. Hooked to a 1a input the battery in my 250 takes 30-45min to fully charge

I have considered just drilling a hole and then filling said hole with clear epoxy. That should allow the light from the LED to be visible

I use replay with mesh. I use a 19mm long piece of the vandy vape 316l 200 mesh, comes out at .16ohm on the vandy vape mesh rda.

How will the FDA's "Crackdown" impact the 75C and/or 250C?
67exec replied to Maverickz's topic in General Discussion
My guess is that it will end up coming down to the board in the mod and not the mod itself. Manufactures will fight that since the board is exempt, their mod is merely an enclosure. Or we Will with have to go black market or build our own. Building is my preference anyway -
I tried a different otg cable, and changed the display on my dna 250 to show usb-v and usb current. With either otg and no inline usb meter, the usb voltage starts at 5v, and .2a. Then the amperage starts to climb and voltage drops. When amperage hits 1.54a and voltage hits 4.56v, it will hold there for 30-60 seconds and then charging stops. After about 15-30 seconds the cycle starts over, with each total cycle lasting 2-3min. On the 250c diagnostics screen it will show usb voltage as 5.1v until current reaches 1a, then it drops to 4.8v-4.9v for the remainder of the cycle. I let it do this for 1hr last night and it brought my 3s 800mah from 3.7v up to 3.95v per cell

That's how the plug on my battery is wired

Does anyone know what the output spec is supposed to be on the power bank function, or how it's supposed to work? I put an inline meter between the otg cable that I use with my tablet and Samsung usb cable. With my 250c device hooked to the otg cable and my vaporflask 167 to the Samsung cable, I get 5.05v and 0.02A for 1-2 min then shuts off. I had to set power bank to auto because I haven't been able to get the manual option to work in the stock theme.

I just put a 4s plug on a 2s batt, then soldered the wire for cell 4 to the pin of cell 3, and the wire of cell 3 to the pin of cell 2 of my battery. Works fine on the mod, and seems to work fine with my venom pro rc charger. Also, de-solder 1 connection and put 2s jst back on, then pack is back to stock.
-
The diagram on the data sheet tells you to bridge the last cell in you batt cofiguration with the remaining balance terminals on the board
-
I'm going to put a 4s balance plug on my 2s batt and tie cells 3, 4 to the cell 2 wire, so I can swap to 3s or 4s at any time
-
I presume a change in escribe is still needed? Or does it do it automatically? Or can we put it in the theme? Got my board today, but batts still haven't shipped yet.
-
Do we have to wire the balance wires the same as when you ran 2s on the dna200/133, dna250/167? Or is it just a change in escribe?

This is my bf510 of choice. Snag a washer to match your prefered diameterhttp://brosciencevapes.com/mm510-squonker-connector/

Your not getting it. It's just a comparison. Plus, in your Wal-Mart search, how many of those were carried "in-store"? The point of the comparison is just that the micro usb isn't completely written off. Evolv isn't the only company that keeps choosing to implement it. I'm totally pro type-c, just showing the other side of the proverbial coin
-
Wal-mart, target, various other stores of that type. As of last weekend, I haven't seen a usb power Bank for sale in one of those stores that has a usb-c. What this has to do with evolv is making a comparison to show that type-c isn't as mainstream as we all would like it to be.
-
Have you watched the vid? I agree with you, Brandon compared it to the 75c, and using chips they've been using already. Plus if they pass on the boost circuit, efficiency will go up by ~10%
-
My best guess is that this board is basically a 4s capable dna75c. That's what Brandon insinuated in the interview with Daniel. Even though I've complained heavily about the choice to use micro usb, I have yet to see a usb-c powerbank when walking into a wally world or other chainstore. All of them I see still use micro usb to charge
-
I'd rather have the new evolv replay feature over hands free gestures any day. But I do lust for usb-c
-
I have, and Brandon says he expects most companies to release after the chinese New year. So when can we buy a board to build our own?
-
My wife's lg g5 has a usb-c and it will turn 2 in July and gets a cord hooked to it At least 3 times a day everyday, and it shows no sign of giving out. She has worn out 1 aftermarket cord that she uses in the car and at work. But the factory cord that get used at home is still going strong. It be inclined to say the issues with the type c port is probably with yihi's supplier
-
Evolv isnt generally known for using 5+ yr old tech and selling it to you as the latest and greatest thing since sliced bread for the next 3-5yrs. That's been the Apple business model for a long time. Although the decision to use micro usb instead of type c is really making me wonder about Evolv.

An SX550J is looking more attractive all the time

Any way to get the Amps to stay on the screen?

I like the smaller screen, try to build a silo/reference mod with a x550j sized screen. An option for a larger screen would be nice though
