  1. Personally have no interest in BT connectivity to a touch screen app, someone linked me to one where you set the TCR with a slider, I hope it had text input to or it was pointless. I think the 200 is a great balance you can access the minutia at the desk when you are building coils etc and have simple controls for the things you may want to adjust out and about the rest of the time.
  2. If the ohms are a 0 then you have a short, if I were you I would try another atomiser.
  3. You restart form EScribe Tools menu, these problems are almost always connectivity or less often poor battery connection.
  4. Then it will be like a mech in that you will be setting the power by how you build your atomiser. A small single coil and large dual coil set ups will give a very different vape at temp x max watts.
  5. I looked at those ModMaker cases and rejected them just because of the magnetic door, if you use one be sure to secure your battery in case it gets dropped the lid pops of and the LiPo takes a hit.
  6. Digi-key do them in the UK for 80p, but delivery is £12 http://www.digikey.co.uk/product-detail/en/486-1690-1-ND/486-1690-1-ND/2870103. RS for £4 for 10 and you can pick them up from a local branch if you have one http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/non-resettable-surface-mount-fuses/7032795/ And http://uk.farnell.com/schurter/3413-0332-22/fuse-smd-ust-1206-25a/dp/1829475RL?mckv=sgSbsDvTR_dc|pcrid|19902156008|kword|+schurter%20+3413.0332.22|match|b|plid|&CMP=KNC-GUK-FUK-GEN-SKU-MDC
  7. On Win 7 & 8 it would be C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Evolv\EScribe\Firmware or open EScripe go to Tools Update Firmware and you will get a open file dialogue window set for the folder it expects.
  8. I used a carto condom with the end cut off, I feel much more confident with that.
  9. Thanks John, I will ditch the foam, I just thought I could use a small piece of silicon.
  10. Rather than starting a new thread I thought I would hijack this one as the title fits. A question for @John: how hot would the board get in normal opperation? I ask as I just used some black open cell packaging foam between the screen and board to hold the screen in place (see pic) and want to know if this is a potential problem.
  11. Cut down 5 mm shelf pins that had been sitting in the shed for years and needed a polish, there are sellers on eBay for 10 or 20 in the UK.
  12. Not finished, but just got it fired up. Hamond 1590A, Nano-tech 950 mAh, XT30 connectors & VT 510.
  13. I think it is the desire is partly to get the use out of the stacks of 18650 IMRs we all have, I know they are handy for me going camping miles away form power sources for over a week and have 30 with enough CDC to run the DNA40. But I have 2 power banks the each take 18650 so not all is lost.
  14. John has said the 2 x 3s in parallel will work, but easier/better to get a larger 3s or a 3s2p pack. I'll try and find the post and edit in a link. /topic/66847-topic/?do=findComment&comment=901338
  15. Same as KTMRider, except for atties with aluminium 510 that need more regular cleaning or just plane poor atties (form a connection perspective).
  16. Strange I thought they all come without the balance connector soldered to the board. It would be OK to take it off and reattach on extension wires. The manual/datasheet has alternative positions for the connector.
  17. Moving the balance connector is covered in this post /topic/68390-topic/?
  18. Glad you got it sorted, strangely I had one on my DNA40s drop out of temp mode about an hour after I posted, that was caused by a poor battery connection.
  19. No real answers, just suggestions while you wait for an answer. Try it on a DNA40/25 to see if that's the same. Fire it up a few times letting it cool to see if refinement mode catches it. This happened to me a few times in the first week or two with the DNA40 and was always a connection problem.
  20. You may need to give it a little time to read the battery and it is worth putting the battery on a multi meter to check it's total voltage and the voltaged of the balance taps. I have not got my board yet so these are just bits I have picked up reading the forum.
  21. Yes, they are just bigger so take up more room in the enclosure.
  22. I vape my Origennies dry all the time in temp mode, I actually prefer it to topping up now as you get a whole tank of fresh liquid. All that happens at the bottom of the tank is you get less vapour and the flavour goes off a little if the wick needs a clean, I just put the whole atty in an ultrasonic with just water about every 2 weeks for tobacco flavour and every month for flavourless liquid. Pic of how dry I vape them
  23. That is a nice job there Mandro, one of the things I love about the DNA40 is being able to use the steel tank on Origennies, I like them at 390-400F, 32 W, 3 mm rope, 7 wraps of twisted 34 AWG sleeper coils (1 piece of wire doing both wicks) looking forward to trying ribbon Ni with the 200.
  24. No, I believe it is just 4.2 V or 4.1 V choice for LiPos
