  1. Just checked and it is the last page of the manual Perform USB Recovery ChargingPerforms recovery charging if any of the battery cells get dischargedbelow 2 volts. Must be logged in to Evolv server through EScribe so Evolv can record a recovery event.
  2. Sorry, I don't know another member mentioned it the other day I think it says in the Escribe manual and is only to help Evolv understand faults with devices and nothing sinister. It is a feature of Escribe so don't see that anyone could object to you using it, when it came up before it was suggested to open a ticket with the mod maker as well so it is recorded and in case your battery is poor.
  3. In Escribe - Device Monitor - Diagnostics - Advanced - Perform USB Recovery charging Apparently this will log the serial number of your board and that it has been done with Evolv.

  5. Absolutely tc6 Brandon has said folding is fine and I don't think that you will get any problems at all if the cable is not moved during opperation and probably only a tiny % will if they are subject to movement.
  6. I am speachless. I feel kinda dumb now. Thank you so much. I tried a different cable and am now pulling 0.96 amps. Poor cable it is. Again, thank you very much![/QUOTE] not dum though to expect a simple thing like a cable to just work
  7. Could be a poor cable of USB socket, one of my power banks only delivers 400 mA with the USB plug full in, but if I pull it out a bit I can get 997 mA.
  8. I would think so as long as it is stable in Atty Analyser, the last decimal place moving a little if fine.
  9. I was thinking that the screens are designed to be installed in completely static environment and even just a little movement may cause some to fail, just the unlucky ones probably over 90% will handle a bit of movement fine.
  10. It may also have just loosened in the socket of course, good luck with it PG.
  11. The button is probably touching it as a button press affects the screen, I'm thinking that 3D designers should consider a vertical shield between the button and the cable, no refection on existing designs who knew this would happen.
  12. Hope someone in the UK stocks them soon. ETA ModMaker.co.uk only have the G, too big!
  13. I think that that is the USB chip/driver on the PC and not the DNA that limits the current when data handshake is present.
  14. Well this is where the wire would go, but wouldn't like to say how to attach it well to the 510.
  15. I'm sure it is, but I have loads of USB chargers and a couple of 4x18650 power banks and never use the laptop for charging it's just what EScribe is installed on.
  16. The blue USB 3.0 ones on this laptop only charge at 0.5 A
  17. He meant the connector that is/was on the main battery leads (thicker black and red wires), but if I read you post correctly they have done away with those and soldered the wires directly to the board. The balance connector is also a JST, a JST-XH so it is a bit confusing.
  18. The brightness is probably set to 0 in Escribe, it takes about 30 secs after plugging in before it displays.
  19. IIRC it is due to the data lines on the DNA remaining active that PCs will only supply 0.5 A, either use a charge only cable or a USB PSU to get the full amp, I have USB current as one of the fields on the DNA charging screen so I can easily ensure that I have a decent cable and supply where ever I am.
  20. I can't see why it would or how Opus would know it had been tried.
  21. He could RMA it or open Escribe - Device Monitor - press Diagnostics - Advanced - "Perform USB Recovery Charging" and see if the battery can be recovered.
