Sos bill only just picked up on this flicking through,,,,,, in the past with the dna40's ive gone for a cheap and chearful brand,,,, but the few dna 40's i have left now are all running on these high milage served batteries in parallal,,, which one do you recomend as replacements.. because i was thinking about a single cell lipo's at 3.7 volt as replacements, for the simple reason of trust of manufacture/supplier, not the battery thing. i havnt said which ones im using because im a little sceptical that theh are the real thing, they had surface rust on them when they arrived and rated at 35A.

Dont know if its because im just not looking much but i havnt seen a lot in the clone temp control field this past twelve months, might just be too technicaly difficult to do on the cheap.. hana got cloned to death on the vv/vw specialy on fleabay, it was almost a conspiracy to ruin.

Hopefuly i wont get kicked off for inputting and im not going to explain the situation, it would be sad to have to verifie everything before going live but admin would know the exact case of events over the past three weeks. In short you havnt got to come on here and slate the board off in order to gain favour for a replacement,,

Mate like i was trying to say to ya a fortnight ago when you where on as name modbustets, and i suggested wearing mittens,, buy a mod, and when it breaks send it back to the manufacturer or rma it, as soon as you start taking them apart you create further problems, for yourself, its nothing to do with escribe or spelling or grammer..again and sincerly, you are clearly displaying that it is far too complex for you. Dont worry about it, realy dont worry its nothing, just carry on and enjoy your vape..

Sorry to undermine earlier advice but you may save time but also inform evolv,, as far as i remember Its called an inductor and it needs soldering at both sides at the tabs you can see, the mod will work but not fully, ,,, Am on mobile but if you do a search for inductor you may find moor info. Five minit job if you can solder or find someone who can.. like a computre shop, i would do it for ya for a bag of chips. did you buy it second hand?? Or had previouse work?? because it looks like its had earlier work done on it....

thanx for that formular above ,, i also use a lemo v2, i had it before i built a 200,, on both dna200 & 40 i am using Nife30 for my coil, its a single coil deck and am wraping about seven and a half turns round a three and a half mill mandrel & clamping the lead legs under the screw heads not bent about and stuck through the holes, 0.18 ohms, also the screws have been upgraded to alen bolts 1.6 mm 35 pitch 3mm long, Ive also ground the juice channels out to twice the size, so i have a good juice flow to a large volume of wick, both dna200 and 40 mods i set the temp and wattage and tune it in to a good vape, ive never thought to compare the settings because i build atty to mod or atty married to that mod, so for me theres no point, and it would do my head in. On the dna 40 i just set the temp quite high like 480 and wattage low like 18/22 and its a steady 4 or 5 second ramp up vape on half air flow with a 80 vg custard. Never hitting the temp limit.. my 200 is set at 75 watt preheat and a 8 punch, temp again at 480 , 22 watts and the airflow at a quarter open, so i'm probly pulling a little moor juice over the coil to cool it.... now i'm doing my head in, because thats almost twice the above formular, it hasnt got to be an exact science to achieve a decent vape i think.. i know its each to their own but 40watt and 530temp is incredibly hot for the juice im using, perhaps the op can input his pg/vg ratioes and coil size. I think this aspect of things is allways overlooked and is a major part of the whole end result..

I havnt got one to mess with but like allready stated, if you have the leads in the box to swap it over to a lipo, i would go with that, because it has better connections and its a better performing power source.. 18650's dont allways sit in sleds to well because they dont have any nipples as such, so you could have an intermitant problem there,,,((it may be tight in the sled or holder but is it making a firm contact with the pos and neg tabs)) there is no way you can drain the power off without feeling it, all energy is heat, you would feel the heat.. youve established that the mod works, no issues with mod..

What was that 5 x 20, five twenty minuit vape sessions at 75 what, a hundred minuits of seventy five watts, and the batteries are twin ????mah 18650.. I use twin 18650's on some dna40 mods and the meter has a job to stabalise. It reads depleated on initial start up and then ballences up, 18650's are crap compared to lipo.. (Meater, little on screen, default screen icon of a battery showing volume of charge left).

Battery shouldnt drain unless your fireing a coil (using power) it must be quite warm to touch, power drained, energy used up, burnt off, gone somewhare ect.

Im of the thought a lipo performs alot better, because the 18650 batteries lag and sag into each other, so it would be better to strip out tripple battery sleds and replace with lipo batteries..

Sos three days old .. you either sussed it or chuked it. no your saving power the 48 difference isnt being lost through the board. you may have a connection issue, within the atty, bad atty,, bad coils,, if your friends are having good results from screw in comercial coil cartridges i would ask one of them to set it up,, you may be missing somthing simple,, am not a ss user but hear that alot of people get results from turning the punch setting right down ho next to nothing,, also check the mod resistance, ,, sos am on mobile so cant easily post a link but do a search for mod resistance.

Frogmod at 41,, i dont think it looks very good mate, the chimney doesnt look like its much stronger than foil.. and from a vg users angle,, with that juice well arrangement vertiacl coils will be difficult to wick, youl be limited for space with horizontal and probly have to dry drag it a lot to pull heavy vg juice in, which will cause it to leak out the bottom. Im sure theres a ten second video somewhere that looks the bizz, and will run fine on say 50/50 vg/pg '" 70/30 pg/vg but not for me..

im glad vb answered the question for you, i dont use the stuff, never wraped a single hoop, soon as i heard about oxides it came off my list.. i use the Nife30 best thing since sliced bread..because of the slightly higher res its less problematic (for me at least).. even twin coiling touching or spaced, or a bit of each,, as long as both coils are equaly crap its just plug and play, (or fit and vape) no worries.

You dont say what size mandrel, you can do theoretical coil building in the wire wizard program, you aint got to use their tcr files on a simple single one strand . Just use the pre loaded dna settings.. ive seen that atty, can you let us know how you get on with using that guage wire on it, possibly even put a pic up of coil fitted to deck before wicking, thanx like a mini review thing, i wouldnt mind one of thoes myself, thanx
