  1. As the coils heat the resistance moves. Each wire material used has a specific curve while heating. DNA's have a "refinement" function that fine tunes the resistance reading as the device rests for a more accurate temperature . Locking the ohm's may be beneficial for finiky atty's but as a matter of choice should not be used in normal operation. If the ohm's fluctuates more than normal then a dirty or loose connection should be suspect. The "new coil" question doesn't always show each time the atty is changed if the device recognizes the coil reading. If it does present the question just say "yes" if it is a new coil or "no" if it is not a new coil... Changing atty's using more than 1 atty, with different coils can trigger the "New/Old" message and if going from one atty to the next can mean that you must say "new coil" as the coil is different from the last atty you used on the device. This is how a DNA works which is very different than the joyetech. You can vape while using the Device Monitor and that will give you live readouts about your vape. It is a good tool to fine tune your vape also. There is a learning curve for DNA's, EScribe, Device Monitor, and etc. and what you are experiencing is not unusual.
  2. Are your batteries still discharging at different rates (1 @ 70% and the other completely drained was your comment in your 1st post).
  3. I understand that "Temp Dominant" only has to do with whether the temp or the wattage is dominant on the display and changes with button pushes. In Temp Dominant you can change the temp setting and in Non-Temp Dominant you can change the wattage. On the 75C the theme design dictates the ability to change temp or wattage manually.. Dry hits usually have to do with wicking, poor connectivity, wrong temp/wattage/preheat, and etc. settings.
  4. I've not seen this before either or just didn't notice it....been away from the house for about 4 hours and date on device stayed @ 2017 while vaping these 4 hours... hook up to Device Monitor and poof it's back to 2016.... EScribe Version 2.0 SP9 with Version 1.1 SP27 INT
  5. Turning off Internet sync didn't help.... I can keep 2017 on the device until I run Device Monitor then it goes to 2016.... thinking it's a bug since it happens on multiple different ecig files.... James may want to chime in.... Note: on my device I need to adjust year to 2018 to get it to set at 2017..... gotta go for a few hours....
  6. Yes.... I can change date on-device and goes incorrect in Device Monitor.... I'm gonna turn off Internet sync and see what that does...
  7. That is strange??? Have not seen this before..... I didn't load the theme you guys did and guess what.... my theme shows the same thing..... may be a bug not noticed before??? Guess we all are using the INT version of EScribe....?? I'm gonna load another different ecig file and check it out...
  8. You have saved your ecig and theme files.... wondering about the theme. @giz_60....sorry for double dip about the theme.... was typing as you posted....
  9. So, you are unable to get the right time on the device? Try this: In Device Monitor go to Diagnostics and click on "update clock" then click OK to the box that opened. Upload settings to the device. If this still doesn't get you there please post a copy of your Theme file (.ecigtheme) or of your .ecig file so we can look at it....
  10. Have you tried running it using Internet Explorer for Mac browser?
  11. Also....If the fire button is making sporatic contact as it pinches the ribbon (if that's what is going on) it can simulate 5 button pushes which locks the device..
  12. When the device is locked it prevents you from firing, changing settings and etc. The main purpose of the lock screen is to prevent accidental firing when placed in pocket or purse I think. You can see what your current unlock sequence setting is in EScribe under the Safety tab by connecting the device and then starting EScribe. That will download your device settings to EScribe so you can see them, change them, and etc.
  13. @Wayneo has guided you on the right track.... that screen shot looks a lot better and temp is working....
  14. I have the 75C but don't own a DNA60 but my understanding is that the 75C boost was ported to the 60 in the early software version. Here is a EScribe screenshot of DNA60 showing the material "Watts" selected and the Boost function just below the material choices.... Since the Theme Designer for the 75C is different than the 60 I think you must use EScribe to set the boost (punch) from 0 to 11 for Kanthal and upload the profile to the 60 and there is no preheat time limit adjustments for Kanthal (Watts) ...With the 75C you can design a theme whereby you can adjust boost on the device absent EScribe.......hopes this helps....
  15. You might submit a ticket to Evolv Help Desk.... they will guide you.... here is the link.... https://helpdesk.evolvapor.com/index.php?a=add&category=1
  16. I'm using the updated INT early version that gives "Boost" for Kanthal using my 75C and the DNA60..... Link to Software/firmware thread here:
  17. The USA and International Versions are different due to FDA Deeming Regulations which include software as I understand it.... so the International version can do updated things the USA version cannot... just FYI.....
  18. When you get the 250 device check out the functionality and features of EScribe when the device is connected All the functions, diagnostics, analyzers, monitor, theme designer, and more that EScribe has is, to, me, what makes it shine in the ecig world.
  19. Posted 3 possible options in the other thread...
  20. If the ribbon cable is being pinched you may have at least 3 options: 1. Return for warranty repair/replacement from the vendor where you purchased it. 2.
