@Wayneo I raised it with help desk when I first posted in here. They offered to replace the board if I sent it in but with me being in Australia it would cost me too much money.

I have only had the device a month so it would still be under warranty from where I bought it. I said if they thought it was a faulty board it would be better for me to return it under warranty.

I was told they are working on a new firmware so will see if that fixes the issue first.

I have reply on my ticket from Evolv.

" Angelo,

We are aware of this issue and are currently working on a firmware to resolve it. Please be patient as we get this taken care of. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

Thanks,

XXXXX

Evolv, Inc"

So i will wait for the official firmware update.

For those that need to know what to do with the service pack SP45 as it is not a .exe.

After you download it put it in C/ Users/ your name/ AppData/ Roaming/ Evolv/EScribe Suite/Firmware/DNA 100 Color

Then use EScribe as usual to update the firmware.

@dwcraig1 thnx for the instruction.

But as I mentioned I am totally new to DNA or Escribe. I have yet to figure out how the update works.

If I put the sp45 in the right folder as you indicate above.

How do I update then?

And can I save the firmware that I now have on the device and restore it later, if the sp45 does not go well?

Gr angelo

@AngeloS,
Seeing as you're brand spanking new, and I don't know what's on your mod.
With mod unplugged
install SP27 on your PC. It's ~55Mb. That will install the full escribe suite.

Found here

https://downloads.evolvapor.com/SetupEScribe2_SP27_INT_ServicePack.exe

Plug in mod, you should hear a sound that your PC sees the device, then start escribe. Ideally you'll see a message there's an update available, click that.
Update firmware to SP45 as shown in the graphic above. Click "Apply"

Then install this new update.

There's no need to worry, escribe always makes backups of its config every time your mod is plugged in and you start escribe. Yes, you can always go back and restore from any of them

escribe suite SP numbers and mod firmware updates SP numbers are always different.

I have installed EScribe2_SP27. Now DNA 100 Color was present in the Tools -> Apply service Pack. Then installed the 100C_Experimental_1_1_SP45_1_INT.sw service on the mod via Tools -> Apply service Pack. Now set the brightness to the lowest setting. I will test this tonight and tomorrow. It's going well now, but still want to test it one day. Starting tomorrow I will test the stealth mode. Next week I will post here if everything is working properly.

Something thing happening with my Hyperion.. keep getting weak puffs doesn't matter what tank it is..or coil type in way of material..low battery or full battery..old service pack or new service pack...what I have noticed is it mainly does it when screen is off...if you click first to light up the screen then fire it's fine... otherwise you get a half wattage puff...even in TC..using 316L

Meh... maybe a slight improvement but, not much if any.

Running this latest 45.1 doesn't seem to help much. That said, I haven't done any comparisons with the Device Manager.....

im running the 45.1 service pack since it was postet and it fixes this weak puff issue for me

Ok so home from work and tried the sp 45.1 experimental version that you speak of...i was using the sp 45 only...Ok so now its working!....i can let the screen time out..then take a puff and it vapes as it should no more weak puffs so far.... where as before it would always give me a weak puff after the screen goes blank which i think is 10 seconds at a guess...now even after 5 minutes of sitting idle i fire it works...So to confirm the sp45.1 experimental version has solved my particular problem...Thank you!

Just a quick update from me.

After using it for about a week, the ‘experimental’ firmware from @James has solved my weak puff issue. This is with my own theme and lowest brightness setting.

Thank you very much mate! It was quite frustrating. 😊

And thank you to @Wayneo for the help too. 🤙

I have had the new software on the device for a week now. The first day, last Thursday, I played dams on 1 with the brithnes. 3 or 4 times had an error message "temperature protected". I couldn't figure out what this was. But no weak puff.

Last Friday afternoon I set the device to stealth. Haven't experienced a single problem since then. The device now works great for me. B.t.w. i have the stock theme on the device.

I don't know who is responsible for the SP45 but thank you very much the device works great.

@Wayneo thank you for your help and patience in helping me update the device. 👌
