I thought it might as my first did but my battery went bad and I couldn't get rid of the message even with a new battery.. Still try a few others and see if you get the message.. If you do then take the batteries out and try a hard reboot also if you have a multimeter test the batteries are all in balance..

Try another usb cable as this could be the problem.. Did escribe recognise the device when you plugged it in?

Can't really help you as to wether you could use it as a mech aswell and don't think many people could, I don't think having an off switch for the board is a good idea, The board is designed to go to sleep after about an hour too keep it accurate..someone should be here to chip in soon.. Maybe it would be better to see if Evolv could add in a mech mode like the evic mini and a few others do?

Ouch sounds like you had a short somewhere, if this a custom mod or have you bought it somewhere? do you by any chance have the mod resistance set as this could be the reason it's not going into tc?

I think if all the settings wernt there from the factory they would all be standard from evolv.. So battery should be 9.99wh, what is the mod resistance set too may I ask? Yes you can use it off tc but need the right csv file for the curve, go on steam engine on wire wizard leave everything as it is but change wire type to ti grade 1 and the where the graph is change to dna200 then download that file.. On the custom profiles on escribe upload that file to one of them.. Lock your watts on device and scroll though to your to profile.. Them change your preheat, watts and temp according to the way you like it, I do this using device moniter so I can see exactly what is happening but that is upto you..

What are the settings you've heard of that come wrong? Also what coils are you using, ni200?

Are your coils touching? If so space them out.. And is the atomiser analyser showing your ohms stable?

According to the graph in the specs 3ohms is the highest..

That's odd, should have worked fine using the correct usb cable.. I've charged mine using a usb car plug loads in the past..

Any update after 15/09/03 should have ecig stats program with it, check your pc for it.. If you don't have it, update the newest escribe again and when going through the update checks make sure the ecig stats q is ticked to download it.. I think this should do what you want although I havent used it..

I'm sure in one of the escribe updates there's a program that does all ecig stats..

As long as it takest.. there's only so much we can customise with a device and adding too much at once would be boring wouldn't it?? If they rush into a new update and everyone downloads it and there's something wrong then people aren't going to be happy are they.. I'd rather it be perfect wouldn't you? Id imagine the next update will be soon, if it's an official update (more likely) or an early one only the guys at evolv know.. (Who are just settling in at a new warehouse).. Just be patient, moaning about it isn't going to make it any faster..

I'm not sure what it is exactly as mines replaced with a 1300mah from new but I believe it's about 1300mah really, 14.43 w/h for the vapecige..

If your not comfortable soldering it on yourself, open up an RMA and return it back to evolv it will probably be quicker than volcano, or you could see if the company you bought it from will replace it and send it back to evolv/volcano themselves after all it's them you've got the warranty with.

I think they would have done this by now if they could, we'll soon find out.. I think you have to close D/M to change settings and then go back onto D/M due to having to have the device in idle too upload settings, when in D/M the device is not idle..

Nope no issues, the evolv crew have been moving units so I suspect that is the reason it's still pre release, the only person who works at evolv who's been about on here recently is Nick, I think once they sort all the offices out and get back to business we will see them back on here again and we can be more informed and get a little more support.

This would definatly make it easier for some and maybe add a preheat adjustment via mod for those that want to change on the go or those that don't have access to a windows pc and don't want to deal with parallels, I know escribe is brilliant but being able to adjust everything we need to vape via the mod Is the future (preheat maybe just have the punch & time as standard, tcr, maybe having an atomiser analyser as a profile so you can build away from the pc)..

They are the numbers you put in for a custom csv on escribe E.g. At 68*f you put the graph too 1..

Lock the device and then hold the fire and - buttons together untill it says stealth mode then let go..

But by the sounds of things in the other thread it won't even work on a dna40 and evolv are going to send out replacement screens asap..
