  1. That does make sense, maybe we can see this feature after all, just wait and see what they say now...
  2. I'm unsure now but this is what info I had, maybe I'm not understanding this right James Administrator Registered: June 29 Posts: 187Posted July 20 #4 68F will be fine. You do not need to normalize to 70F with the more recent firmwares. It's a good idea to normalize to *some* temperature, though, as the EScribe curve editor only ranges from 0.1 to 10. We can handle as many points as the internal curve storage allows. The storage space is shared between the curves of all profiles and the battery discharge curve. Our default Ni200 curve has 6 segments (7 points), and I was able to split to 22 before it ran out of space. So the practical limit is 8 segments (9 points) before you'll run out of space if you load the curve onto all 8 profiles. If you don't need it for all profiles, of course, you can do more. There is a feature presently hidden that you may find useful: Go to Help->About and left click the Evolv logo seven times. That will unlock the "Reduce Number of Points" option in General->Material Profile->Special. When it removes points, it chooses segments that are closest to linear first, so that you don't end up losing meaningful detail.
  3. Not much.. There was a conversation months ago not long after the board was released about adding extra splits in the custom coil would reduce the amount of profiles you could have.. although maybe they could have an option for us in escribe to add this feature and take away a profile or two..
  4. I see what your saying but TC is meant too stop the coil heating up until it gets to the level of toxicity, and surely ni200/ titanium is more toxic than silver/sterling silver..
  5. Have a look at your other thread, not sure about charging time I'd imagine at least 1.5 hours at 1amp.. vaporshark claim their 900mah will charge in 1.5 hours at 2amps soo.. Also don't worry about that temperature 90f is like 30c.
  6. Any usb cable should work fine, I've had issues with some not working with the device but other than that most should work.. Yes just plug usb into pc and micro usb into mod and you'll get the pop up for the device.. when you get that pop up you can change the name if you want too dx200 or reuleaux (want you want basically) press ok and all your settings from your device will come onto the screen.. If you go to the screen tab and change the charging brightness above 50% when you charge the device it will come up with the amps, the mod won't take in more than 1 amp so don't worry if the plug or usb can handle more that will be fine (you may notice when plugged into pc it will only charge at 0.5 amps which is fine also as the usb on your pc may only release that current). That's really unbalanced.. if you take the battery out are all the connections secure, sounds like a faulty battery.. I wouldn't write the mod off though as you can buy spare batteries for it which could be an option for you. Go on escribe and change all default fields to cell 1, 2 & 3 and keep an eye on the voltage as your vaping.. also what are your watt hours set at?
  7. You'd need a coil to last you a year, imagine the price of a staggered fused clapton!! How about gold or silver?
  8. I don't think this would be possible with the memory available on the chip but that's a brilliant idea and it would be very useful if this could be done.
  9. Good work here blueridgedog
  10. I'm not saying that there aren't some issues Evolv are getting with the board but I'll still stand by what I said as I still think most are the makers error even if it's something as simple as not trying to charge the battery before connecting it to the board. As I said though most of the boards that have gone wrong are due to warranty service message (going out of calibration) or a fuse going.. You could be right in your case and it may be a fault with the board but I haven't seen many boards go without warranty service, a faulty battery or a fuse going and the only one which is evolvs issue out of them is the warranty service but they have still replaced boards no matter what the cause.. If you ask that mod maker how many of those 6 was replaced, I would bet they'd say all of them.. Evolv are always doing their best to put customers first and want all faulty boards too examine as without this feedback they can't make any improvements. From previous fails the only problem I can remember with symptoms like yours is a faulty battery.. Put in a ticket rather than send it too volcano and ask evolv what was wrong and see if they let you know is all I can suggest, that's upto you as the shop should have replaced on the spot and dealt with the issue themselves.
  11. What you see on the board isn't a solder pad. Its what's showing now that it's no longer there. Thanks for the Reply but it's of no help. If it was that simple I wouldn't post. I have been doing this a while but first time a solder pad actually came off a board ever.[/QUOTE] Well Bakak wasn't very helpfull was he, these boards are really fragile.. Put a ticket in to evolv they should help you out.. I'm suprised this happened on the battery side as its only 18 gauge wire needed and takes seconds to solder.. The 510 and Gnd side will pull it off if not done like blueridgedog says..
  12. This is something the Evolv team can't do, the board hasn't got enough free memory to have more than 8 profiles @Jalcide
  13. Yes don't do this!!! If your making a 1ohm coil you need to use like 14 gauge wire and it needs too have a lot of surface area too keep it cool.. Its best to use resistors as mentioned above.. If you can afford a mod like this you can afford resistors and wires too test it properly and safely.. Other wise I wouldn't bother trying to do it.
  14. Most die due to the makers error.. I'm pretty sure if it was the fuse the screen will work when plugged in.. The only problem I know that evolv are having is the warranty message due to the board going out of calibration. I'd say it's something volcano have done
  15. Yes your right had a long day in work yesterday, my bad.. Edited post so no one gets confused.
  16. Sending the whole mod back too Evolv is the only way your really going to find out what's wrong with it..
  17. Because evolv are putting safety first and two 18650s will not power 200w without a big risk of venting.. Other companies either don't care and just want too make money or their mods are not putting out true 200w..
  18. New release Stedda http://www.vapegeek.co.uk/Efusion-V2-dual-18650-by-Lost-Vape-715.htm Personally I'd go for the reuleaux as I have the efusion.. Don't get me wrong I love my efusion but would rather have access to the extra power.
  19. In the atomiser analyser if you look next to kanthal ohms it says the temp (ni200) ohms.. You can also change the preheat if you want too? I'm not sure why your asking? What are you having problems with? it would be better if you posted screen shots of the graph rather than excel format although everything looks fine I don't know exactly what I'm looking for?
  20. It does support lion, just designed around lipo.. just use li polymer 3 cell for 3 18650 and put say 2500mah for Samsung 25r & 11.1v too get your watt hours
  21. As Nick says the crew at Evolv are quick solving issues so I'd expect 14 working days and you'll have it back in your hands.
  22. Probably about 2 weeks to a month.. Depends how your courier sends it via ship or plane. I have ordered stuff from the US before and it takes about a week.
  23. An atty will not make a difference too case analyser.. You only need an atty for the battery analyser..
  24. Have a look here /topic/67571-topic/
