  1. Push @James Did you find the time to look into this? Beside that i don´t have this problem - a lot of people asking if there are any news - most of them downgraded to sp22 - but i think that downgrading is no solution! Regards Mikel
  2. May be your battery sag is such high that the mod shuts down complete while firing - escribe device monitor will show you the possible problem Post a screenshot of the diagram so we can take a look what happens
  3. If you have a multimeter you can try to make some measurements - set the multimeter to Ohms or diode testing - use the probes to touch both of the positive contact inside of the mod - it should give you 0 ohms - next use the probes to touch both of the negative contacts ( sitting in the flap) it may give you also 0 ohms but maybe they designed it so, that one contact goes to one of the two contact fields so do the other - the contact fields are getting shorted by closing the flap and making negative contact to the chipset - i guess one of the negativ poles is not connected to one of the contact fields ! Alternative you can try to use the mod with one cell only - i guess it will only work with cell in one slot! so it is about to find out if the problem is in the positive contact section (inside the mod) or in the negative section (in the flap) - BUT - the mod is less then a week old - send it back - bring it in - it is under warranty! My description is only for how to find out whats wrong - it is 100% Hardware related no software update can change the problem!
  4. Without disassembling no way to fix it! if your device is under warranty - send it in to let it be repaired! If not - the cells are parallel - so there´s a contact problem in the battery tray - you have to open it and look for a broken contact/soldering
  5. Yes it may be this little bad guy - the question is - why this management chip is dying ??
  6. Check Atomizer - No Atomizer - this should not happen anyway if an atomizer is screwed on! Looking like a faulty 510 or 510 connection - also the reading of the resistance should be more or less stable (in function of changing temperature it may variate by a few milli ohms) but no real jumps!
  7. Okay - at first we should sort out if this issue is related only to the Paranormal or to any DNA75C device ....... So as i mentioned before - a screenshot while firing would be a first step - Since i do not use ss316l i can´t test with this material - i´ll try to get a bit of ss316l from my friends to do some tests with it.....
  8. Since you wrote that the device is one month old - it should be under warranty - So you should contact your local dealer - of course the display is exchangeable but why resolving the problem by yourself ?
  9. Maybe a screenshot of device monitor while firing would be helpful ............. with activated graph for temp - voltage - resistance - power - cold resistance
  10. Try to create your own curve for your build - link: http://www.steam-engine.org/wirewiz.asp# or try to use the attached csv SteamEngine-DNA200.csv
  11. @Smokin Dave What Coil resistance you are trying to fire in TC mode? Spaced or micro coil? Simple 316l or clapton? This is how i would try to find out whats wrong - Disabled Preheat - internal Mod resistance set to 0,003 - atomizer analysis (read cold resistance) - manually set resistance to somewhat lower and lock it (if raw ohms are read at 0,356 set it to 0,340) Are you sure that your atomizer is not jumping around with resistance??? Variable center pin is one of the reasons why some atomizers are resistance jumping make sure that your center pin is screwed all the way in! Perfect build atomizers don´t need an adjustable center pin......... Give us a bit more input - what atomizers are you trying to use???? For example - the Kayfun V4 is nearly unusable for TC (without modification to the center pin) as far as i found out
  12. Please change your escribe configuration You may need to select Options > User Interface > Manufacturer from the top dropdowns in order to see and change this setting.Dual 18650 mods will display this behavior if they are set to 3-cell operation and not 2-cell operation on the Mod tab in EScribe. Your mod is currently set to 3 Cell mode!!!!!
  13. If there are no bad connections/soldering/broken wires - the board is "dead" You should open a ticket ...........
  14. This is why i´m prefer DNA mods - we have all tools to diagnostic things and help each other! Good luck Vape on!
  15. First of all - you are a bit high in impedance of your coil - YES the DNA is capable to drive 0,716 Ohms - but of course the chip is mainly designed for Temperatur Controlled vaping You´ll have best results in between 0,1 to 0,5 Ohms - see attaches graph of the output in function of resistance ......... Your setup will consume abt. 10 amps 0,716 Ohms 70 Watts 7,08 Volts 10 Amps
  16. Only 9 Wh ? Mod Resistance 0 Ohm ? Can you send a screenshot of device monitor?
  17. The DNA boards are solid! They are sold several thousand times - but sometimes some of them failed - thats no big problem because evolv supports us with perfect customer service! But for me as a technician and amateur radio operator i´ll always want to find out the reasons for things going wrong ;-)
  18. Wrong Firmware? There is no wrong one - it´s easy to select 2 or 3 cell option in Escribe (if escribe is setup correct) but never the less - to reflash the firmware is a good idea anyway ....... Escribe is not updating the firmware of a DNA Board by itself - it notice that there is a new service pack or you have to do select a firmware manually - i´m pretty sure that it is not possible to flash a DNA250 firmware to a DNA200 board (i´m sure that evolv added some check ups to prevent flashing a wrong file) But we are talking about "dead" Boards without flashing an update - failed right after disconnecting the USB cable!
  19. @dwcraig1 No - 3Cell mods - 2Cell mods - DNA200 and DNA250 boards.......... For experiments i´m going to disable USB charging (diagnosis) before closing escribe and disconnecting device - but i don not have any ideas if that makes any difference Maybe we first have to disconnect the typeA USB Plug instead of disconnecting the mirco usb b first..........
  20. PUSH Just want to push this up - more and more people reporting "dead" boards after disconnecting from USB (German community) Any ideas about why this happens or how to prevent it????
  21. Happens sometimes - a kind of technician blindness ................... who´s deleted the internet? ;-)
