  1. And it could be that the board was accidently marked as a 250 board instead of 200. Maybe somebody from Evolv could chime in if they read this thread...
  2. Sounds like a 200 to me unless the wattage is set in EScribe to a maximum of 200 when it could got to 250 if it is a 250 board. You might try to set the maximum to 250 in the Kanthal Power Limit field in the Mod Tab. If it won't accept 250 then it is a 200 board.
  3. On the device when you increase the wattage does it stop at 200 watts on the display and in Device Monitor?
  4. Keep working on it and you will figure it out. You are trying to trick the DNA to do something it is not, and was not designed to do. I am a mouth-to-lung guy also and use SS316L pre-made coils almost always but use Kanthal occasionally but I don't need pre-heat thus I don't need the work around.
  5. Good thoughts..... how about just sanding down the door a bit? just a thought.....
  6. Is the csv you want included in this list of csv's? (see post number 1 above.) /topic/65616-topic/
  7. Will this work for you? 55A rated... http://www.ebay.com/itm/14-AWG-10-Feet-3m-Gauge-Silicone-Wire-Flexible-Stranded-Copper-Cables-for-RC-/111042906553 It says free shipping.....
  8. Your issue seems to be directly related to the design of the device. You should contact Wismec for a solution.
  9. I don't think you said but are your coils contact or spaced? Single wire, clapton, etc.?
  10. When you plug into the computer to use EScribe, Device Monitor, does it charge off the computer? Also it looks like your wall charger has a 2.4A rating per port: just info.... Specifications: Input: AC 100-240V Rated AC Output: 10A,125V,1250W USB Output (AiPower): 5V 2.4A/port | 4A Max Cable Length: 5.0 ft Dimensions: 10.4" x 2.0" x 1.1" Weight: 12 oz
  11. OK, is this the power strip you have? If not can you give link to one like you have? https://www.amazon.com/AUKEY-4-Port-Protector-Outlets-Charger/dp/B01A0WK5DE What Service Pack is installed in the device and is it the one that came installed by Vaporshark in the device?
  12. What external charger are you feeding the device with? What is the output of it? And to your other post.... I posted 2 days ago a bit about my experience with DNA's here: /topic/65999-topic/?do=findComment&comment=893069
  13. My thoughts and suggestions.... Define first exactly what your issue really is (device or board related). This may require somebody actually physically troubleshooting your device. Most manufacturers of devices say that opening up the device will void any manufacturers warranty. Is your device still protected via a warranty by Vaporshark? If not, I guess you could open it and determine the issue if you have the skills. Issues can be caused by many different factors. Absent being able to definitely know the exact cause you might consider these 2 suggestions. 1. Vaporshark offers both warranty and repair services. So, if your device issue is a Vaporshark issue (not board related) then they are the go-to folks I think. 2. Evolv has a 1 year warranty only on the board. If your issue is due to faulty board then Evolv should address that and may have you send the board back to them for troubleshooting, repair, or replacement. You could fill out a ticket with Evolv explaining your issue and they will respond appropriately I think.
  14. I would imagine if a bigger mah battery was available VS would have put it in there.... don't think you will find a 2200 mah the same size as a 900 mah and questionable if a 1300 mah will fit ether but it may be close... Google is your friend....
  15. I've not seen inside that one.... is the onboard firing switch used or is it an auxiliary firing switch? If auxiliary what does the meter show at the board where the 2 wires attach while pushing the fire button?
  16. I set my profiles a bit different and that's the beauty of the DNA and EScribe..do whatever works for you... I like "fiddle free vaping" and "geeky".... I almost always vape one type material (ss316L) and it is a pre-made "Notch" coil (Wismec). ... and set the profile with temp (Temp Dominant), wattage, sufficient preheat, punch, duration and material type and create the screen name. Occasionally I will vape 2 other pre-made coils of different materials (Aspire Kanthal or Ni200) thus 2 additional profiles... (one Wattage dominant the other Temp Dominant). I only use one type of atty's for the "Notch coil" and one type atty's for the Aspire coils thus always consistent and "fiddle fee"...clean the atty and pop in new coil and add e-liquid. I also only use one e-liquid brand thus consistent Vg-Pg, again I like "fiddle free"... Thus I select a profile for the material/coil used and just adjust temp (or wattage) depending on the profile used and only when needed to be different than the default temp or wattage setting.... all my stuff vapes below 40 watts and/or 440F.
  17. Understand and early on Wismec and Hotcig had to work out a few build issues, as did a few other manufacturers....... it ain't no fun to have a mod that has issues... my hope is that those that read your 75% failure rate don't see it as normal and start saying that Evolv has a 75% failure rate... we all know how social media is....
  18. To try to answer your questions: I feel your pain.... really..... but I think your failure rate is not normal .... I asked a long time ago about DNA board failure rates for the DNA200's and it was super low compared to average failure rates of massed produced items.... as of 1/11/2016 the failure rate was very low for board specific issues. At that time they had over 200,000 boards in the field. Would you say that a 2% failure rate is reasonable? The failure rate was lower than that as the rate does not count failed batteries or problems caused by the build of the mod. My experience: I have been vaping only devices with Evolv products in them since 2010 (except one which I bought just to test and then sold). My first device was the Darwin which was made by Evolv in 2010. This device today is still like new and works as good. I have purchased, or made, devices with all of Evolv's products over all these years and had only one failure. That failure was do to a mistake I made while building a DNA 20. Evolv replaced that board even though it was my fault. All of my DNA 20, 30, 40, 25, Kick, Kick2 devices worked until I gave them all away (except I kept 2) when the DNA200 came out. At the present time I only have the Darwin, a DNA40, 2 DNA200's, and 3 DNA75's and no issues with any of them.... so my experience ranges from devices that are a few months old to a device that is over 6 years old. Sorry for the long-winded post....hopefully I answered your question... If you would be so kind to let us know what the outcome is.... may be helpful to others..... THX and I wish you well...
  19. Please let us know what it turns out to be.... may be helpful to others.... THX
  20. Looks like you covered all the bases from the designer, to the manufacturer, and to the vendor. So Sbody, the manufacturer, is requesting video proof. As you know C2D1 is designed by VapeDroid in Germany and manufactured in China by S-body.
  21. You might start a ticket with Evolv.....they can guide you....Evolv has one year warranty on just the board.... Question: How old is that device as I thought Wismec stopped making that device long ago?
  22. hum.... I've not heard of a single DNA200 exploding..... are you saying they are? Link please..... This may help... https://downloads.evolvapor.com/dna200.pdf
  23. OK, just checking.... that's about all I can think to check without putting a meter on the main inputs of the board.... do let us know what you find out....THX
  24. hum, did you unplug the device, take out the batteries and then plug it back in and you got the same voltage without any batteries in the device?
