Presets?

Recommended Posts

you can go into escribe and preset the profile setting wattage and pre heat and replay on all other features that the material you choose can start off with like a basic level you cant start from like setting the watts to 50 or 60 and preheat options to a required level before altering them on the device ,  that's as much as a preset you can do - changing materials or swapping tanks will always trigger the new coil detected which you have to set - as the photograph shows where to alter the default levels

on my theme or where it has the profile tab on top , here in the photo its called profile one where on the device it may say watts , SS316 or replay etc - to select this tab is what you do when altering wattage , you navigate the menu by the 3 buttons or two buttons on your device and the 2 outer buttons  act as up and down and the middle is to select or highlight that particular setting as you would do for changing watts and once select you use the outer button again to change values or cycle the profiles

OK great guys thanks I think lol. So what Im thinking is I have to create "profiles" on my laptop and upload to the device? Say profile1 for a rda, profile2 for a different rda, profile?? for another 1 etc? Am I right?

you can do that if you wish but make sure you backup your original settings , i suppose its one way to get a round pre determined setting for your particular needs

@formula 1Thanks mate that's what I was after, I got a bit of a bashing on another thread for asking this same question. I said there I struggled with mental health issues and my concentration along with post traumatic amnesia makes even wording simple sentences an issue the vape community as a whole can be a lil self righteous at times it makes me mad so thanks dude for all your help. If you don't mind I'd like to use the theme u use also is it available?

You were not bashed... you were given good information... and asked to watch the video. to have a better understanding of DNA technology and EScribe....  we are still available....   MAKE SURE TO COPY YOUR *.ECIG FILE TO YOUR COMPUTER BEFORE MAKING ANY CHANGES...  that way you can put it back to the original settings should you mess up something...

OK so not bashed maybe although I had explained I struggle to understand basic instructions due to my mental health and yes I've watched the video almost twice now and I've not heard one mention of the problem I had/have re profiles I'll leave it for a while now and go back to my mech where there's very little to understand

Which device do you have?   Different Themes have different screens to work with profiles.....  Again profiles can be set in EScribe and uploaded to the device... Post a copy of your *.ecig file and I'll look at it and see where you need to go to set profiles..

Lost vape paranormal dna250c I was just puzzled as to why I had to use my laptop to create a preset profile as tbf ive usually used cheaper mods that I can do this on from the mod itself no pc needed

Read my last post again, I'll be happy to look at the *ecig file then I should be able to tell you how to get to the right screens........ Themes can be designed differently thus profiles can be found on different screens.....  other devices are not as user definable as a DNA...

no problem , my themes and other users themes are available in the download section here https://forum.evolvapor.com/files/  alternatively if you want my themes you just need to click on my profile and look for uploaded files.

You can access them on the mod itself, you can also change most settings for each profile on the mod.  Escribe allows you to rename the profiles to suit you (for example naming each one for a particular atty)and will also allow you to change some profile settings which might not be available in your mod's theme, like the coil material or whether it's a temp controlled profile.

Also, to clarify, you don't need to create profiles, the device has 8 profiles, if I remember rightly they're named after common materials by default, you just need to rename them and set them up to suit your purposes then upload them to your mod.

The only profiles I can access through the mod are Watts, watt boost, ss316, ss430, ni, ti and kanthal there are no "empty" profiles on the mod lostvape Paranormal dna250c

That's right dude, if you go into escribe you can change the name of them and set them to something more useful FOR YOU.

So you might, for example, rename  profile 1 to be named "Goon" and set that profile's material to SS (or whatever you material you use in your goon), rename profile 2 to "RDTA" and set it's material to whatever you use in your RDTA, then when you upload them to your mod those are the profile names that will be displayed instead of the default profile names watts, watt boost, etc.

What you are allowed to set on the mod depends on the theme you're using, I think the default theme allows you to change the normal 'day to day' setting s like wattage, temperature, boost settings (I can't remember as I didn't use the default theme much, I dived straight in and made my own theme as soon as I built my first 75C based mod).  I don't remember if the default theme allows you to change things like material or replay enable in a profile, my theme certainly doesn't allow to set those but those are things I will set once and probably never change.

Can we all just STOP for a moment!

@Richieriotoffit let me ask you an honest question. By creating multiple posts with multiple persons talking, is it all just a big mush to you? Would you prefer just 1 voice, and if so who?

Clearly @formula 1 , @retird , @Chris Musampaand I have been trying to work with you, and all telling you the same thing across different posts.
