Yes, it works on Debian 12 bookworm.

(It doesn't work / is not installable on Trixie (testing) as some packages are missing (gtk-sharp2 and others), it can be installed after getting the missing packages from bookworm, which is not ideal).

Has anyone got this running on Ubuntu Noble yet? It doesn't have gtk-sharp2 available, and I found no quick way to squeeze it in.

I've posted the Linux version of EScribe Suite SP57.

For DNA 80 Color, it fixes screen flicker issues and allows graphical elements to be repositioned.

It's been a while now. Isn't it about time you published the Linux version properly on Flathub, so updates will be automatic and ensure both security and portability between Linux distros. Side-loading of software is on it's way out.

Any clue what is wrong ? md5sum of .run archive does not pass.

Are you using the link at https://downloads.evolvapor.com/SetupEScribe2_SP57_INT.run ? If you set the software to Executable (chmod +x or whatever equivalent GUI acton), it will run.

Presently it only automatically downloads dependencies on Debian derivatives, but if you already have the needed dependencies, it should work just fine.

I don't post the software to any package managers, so that has been done by someone else.

I am updating from Aur repo (ArchLinux) where I downloaded the previous version and it was working. I will give it a shot as executable.

I thought that you were the one that maintains the Aur package updated as well.

They're not and I fixed the AUR package a couple hours ago already after your comment.

I’ve got escribe installed on my steam deck but can’t figure out this gtk sharp2. Is this what I need to get escribe to work? Wish escribe was just in the discover store 😓

Running Plasma 6 desktop with the global menu and I cannot get anything to open from the menus (tools > apply service pack).  Nothing happens.  Not even any terminal output when launching from the command line. Tried disabling global menu temporarily, and I just get no menu bar at all in that case.

Do you have all of the packages installed? Also, which distro are you trying it on?

looking to see if there is an updated install/er for Linux Mint 22.1 6.8.0-55-generic kernel, Ubuntu/Deb Based. gtk2-sharp is a huge pain to install, if you can get it all to install. I have the sp57 int run file, but doesnt execute from the menu entry after install. any word on updating the install reqs?

I’ve got it installed on my steam deck but it just tried to load and nothing happens. Is there any way you could get this on the discovery store? It would make this so much easier. I have no idea what I need to do to make it function as is.

Just noticed that there's replies to the threat, oops.  Not sure what you mean by all packages... if you mean the dependencies, yes they are all installed.  I'm on Manjaro (Arch Linux), and it used to work just fine.  I suspect there are compatibility issues with Plasma 6 and/or wayland.
