blueridgedog
I have seen recommendations for a minimum of .5 resistance for SS. The lower the TCR, the higher base resistance that is required as you are dealing with a ratio. Small Resistance*Small TCR = small variation, Large Resistance*Small TCR = better variation when fired. If you multiply the two you get a baseline target:Wiremin ResTCRXNi2000.050.0062000.000310Tungsten0.070.0045000.000315Ti010.10.0035000.000350NiFe300.10.0032000.000320SS4300.250.0013800.000345SS3040.50.0010500.000525SS3160.50.0009200.000460SS3170.50.0008800.000440

VapingBad
Opps you wanted more res BRD, I'm dyslexic sorry, the first one was over 0.5 ohm, but I just wanted to show the DNA 200 can regulate 26 AWG Stainless Steel.
black lace
Ive had some :40mm dropped off this morning from stealth, looking foreward to having a bash with it, insidently theyve got higher guages, up to :60mm
VapingBad
0.3 mm regulates smoother, again I find that preheat works perfectly no matter how aggressively you set it.
Bobby
Thank you for doing the trials and posting the results. It's very helpful for me.I think that the smoother result has less to do with the diameter of the wire but more with the Cold Ohms of the coil (1.073 vs 0.552). The higher resistance will raise the TC precision (or milliOhms/degree C) so the mod can regulate more accurately.Off course (with the same build) the thinner wire is, the higher the resistance of the build will be. m4k3r
I'm having pretty good luck with this setup so far:Single coilSS316L - 26 AWG9 wraps (spaced)2.38mm (or 3/32 drill bit).5612 ohms (locked)Aromamizer RDTAPreheat: 100w, Punch: 1, Time: 1first pull was at 40w, second pull at 200wUpdate: Thought I would add another shot from today (2/17) at 200w with longer pulls. Vape quality is still exactly the same as 2 days ago when I slapped it together and my battery lasts all day now! Couldn't be happier.

What most folks are finding is essential: Solid connection Solid atomizer Dialed in mod resistance This gives the mod the best chance of seeing the small TRC range of the coil. The dialled in mod resistance works!
