Damn! Sure enough. I just scraped a little of the black off and 316L works on first test. No temp protect warning anyway... Replay didn't work first try. So I'm getting closer....

I'm having what may be the same problem. Replay almost never works and when it does it fails. SS profile doesn't work but Ni200 and Ti do with 316L wire. My 510 is a Black Varitube V2. Would the black coating cause the same grounding problem for an Evolv chip? I had to use a common ground instead of the output's ground for the 520 and I thought that may be My problem but maybe not.

Hell yeah! I think testing juice and not parts is pretty smart. There might be hope for the FDA yet. Very good news. Especially for our host here! Like night and day change, or more. Huge!

I've sent two RMA requests by way of email but get no reply. How did you return your boards? They are 20 minutes away from me so I could be a walk in if I had to.

Now it has stopped working again. I get the feeling it's because I've been using a Kanthal coil at times. Replay is not available after using Kanthal it seems. I've even gone to the profile for the coil type before going to replay profile. I'm using the Paranormal Red profile and the word, "Available" is there instead of replay

I finished mine last night. Replay stopped working even though the check is there to enable it.

I was only changing things like step down size. I HATE 10th of a watt of 5 degrees at a time. Support Replay is checked on all temp coils and Replay profile. What is, "Saved Puff, Playing." I've tried it with and without. I've also UNlocked resistance on all.

Anybody know what I did?

I just finished my build and had replay working. At some point messing with stuff I've turned it off and can't figure out how to get it back. Strange...

I was wondering if it was ok to connect directly. I fried a board and I worried that's what did it but I guess not. I didn't see why it would but it was fried after I tried. Good thing I have a second board and Evolv has such awesome tech support.

I was wrong. I have a Cisco but ordered a Varitube V2. Thanks for the insight! Big help!!

So I'm doing the solder work on the 510 connection but the parts to the Varitube V2 are too small to go back over the 12 gauge wire after soldering to the center pin. Is there a better brand to use with 12 gauge wire?
