  1. your zif socket connector has most likely come open from lifting up the screen when doing the ribbon tuck. the sticky foam tape pulls up on the connector opening it, it happened to me. it's the black connector that holds the screen ribbon to the board. there's a tiny flap on top that opens and closes. make sure your ribbon cable is completely inserted and make sure it's snapped shut on both sides and report back. and it says on page 1 post 13 attempt at your own risk.
  2. you're tips/tricks look all fine to me blueridgedog. if not, nick, james or john from evolv would of chimed in and suggested any changes. thanks for the list if i run into any problems, i'll be sure to go down the list!
  3. in my opinion, out of the tens of thousands of dna 200 boards in use, there a small percentage have failed but in the big picture the number to working verses non working is far greater. i'd say pull the trigger an get one. i own four and they have been working flawlessly.
  4. i'm thinking something close to the dna 40 board size and lay out, with the escribe capability. say 60-70 watts, 4.2 volt input, and buck boost topology. they'd def get another slice of the vape market. get on it guys, if yer not already.
  5. page with the rx200 all dissasembled. looks very similar to the dna 200 board, notice the dual inductor setup. http://imgur.com/a/ImVAi
  6. hey xevape can you post some more pics of that vs board. im trying to find the differences in components for the charging circuits. 1a vs 2a. evolv said the vs board is slightly longer and has different charging components.
  7. try a hard reboot from escribe. the warranty service message usually means, what i was told, the board is out of calibration and pretty much unfixable by the end user(dead board ). you're most likely going to need to rma your board at the very least.
  8. IMO the tuck is simpler and you don't have to worry about a plastic shim floating around your mod. and if that plastic shim moves, and yer ribbon goes back under the button, how are you going to know? whatever works to keep the ribbon away from the button, thats what counts. folding, plastic shim, getting yer nephew's uncle's cousin to do it, whatever it takes. guess what? chicken butt.
  9. one site says 1500 mah and another sez 4500 mah. for a mod that big it should be 4500 mah.
  10. what's KSD edit..... the sort of relo look alike, kinda sorta. 4500 mah? is FT adding up the series cell lipo again misleading people?
  11. ^^^^^^ooooooooohhhhhhhh noooooooooooo....... kraken, that sux major balls. i'm sorry your screen broke. they are super delicate. if it's any consolation, i've cracked my fair share cranking down face plates wondering "why hell is this thing going on crooked? and hard to tighten down?...CRACK..CRUNCH! DAMN IT. i hope you find a new screen with a quickness.
  12. every one of em have the ribbon touching the fire button.
  13. the zif zocket latch latch will come open cause of the sticky side of the foam tape pulls it open when lifting the screen just snap it back down and see if yer screen is workin again.
  14. just throwing this out there but i picked up a chuwi Hi8 windows 10 tablet from gearbest for under $100. great for web and escribe. only one micro usb port tho, so yer gonna need a usb hub to charge at the same time if you have you dna plugged in. also if you wanna run any of the escribe analyzers. the 4000mah lipo doesnt last long at all when the dna is plugged into it. thats why i suggest a hub or a tablet with 2 usb ports, 1 for charging the tab, 1 for the dna200.
  15. ^^^I hear ya. i felt like MacGyver defusing a bomb. sweat rolling off my brow, trying to steady my hands as I wonder whether to cut the blue wire or the red one. thank god i cut the blue one. it disarmed the reuleaux bomb and only then was I able to safely tuck my ribbon without blowing my self up. lol i was just as clueless and worried as most people who own this mod. If i can help with something I try my best. thankfully those pics were available from the reuleaux FB group. i wasn't sure if it would let me copy and paste em.
  16. take your batts out. take out the four bottom most screws, that will release your face plate. usb IS TIGHT inside of face plate so wiggle the face plate to detatch. place screws and buttons in a safe place as not to lose them. gently pry screen up from board. it's held on with sticky foam tape. make sure your zif sockect locking flap did not come unlocked when prying up screen(foam tape sometimes pulls this open when lifting up on screen do to the adhesive side of foam). get a toothpick or similar sized tool and put a gentle s bend in ribbon, no sharp abrupt bends. reseat the screen making sure your bend has retained it's shape. test fit face plate to make sure everything lines up. re install face plate with buttons and replace screws followed by batts. done. ATTEMPT THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK! IF YOU ARE NOT COMFORTABLE TAKING APART YOUR $160 DEVICE, THEN DO NOT DO IT! THAT IS WHAT YOUR WARRANTY IS FOR. IF DONE INCORRECTLY YOU WILL SEND YOUR SCREEN STRAIGHT TO HELL. KEEP IN MIND, WITH THE CHINESE OLED FACTORY EXPLOSION/SHORTAGE, THESE SPECIFIC OLED SCREENS ARE AN ENDANGERED SPECIES.
  17. @dwcraig1 in device monitor under the diagnostics tab you'll see "set usb current limit". just type in 0 and bam your mod no longer charges when connected in escribe. to return it back to normal just click "reset usb charge limit".
  18. why don't you run battery analyzer for yourself and find out what your specific wh's are. i got 11.275 wh's at 80 watts on a .29 ohm load.
  19. plugged my reuleaux into escribe to check on individual cell voltages. had boxes: cell1 cell2 cell3 pack voltage checked. took a few vapes, everything's fine. took another vape, watched cell 1 climb to 5.03 volts then the screen threw up a garbbled "warranty service"(looked like an older dna 40 large screen glitch with the warranty service message all scrambled in there.). unplugged from escribe, hit fire button, relo rebooted and working fine again, for now at least. just wondering how long before this happens again and completely dies on me. band gap is hovering between 1.030-1.047. what would cause a voltage spike from my batts? a usb voltage spike? i have noticed once in a while a spike in usb voltage (how much voltage im not sure, lets say a 1.25 inch tall spike above normal usb voltage, since you can't see highest graph points in device monitor) while in escribe so now i turn the current to zero when in escribe to protect my devices.
  20. joined the relo fb group. it's true that the ribbon does slightly rub on the bottom of the fire button. took mine apart and noticed there is no s bend in the cable. un stuck screen from board, put s bend in ribbon, replaced, and done! potential crisis averted.
