  1. Apparently a known issue...read here...last 3 posts.../topic/65550-topic/?do=findComment&comment=885029
  2. Unless you have deleted or overwritten it, there should be a profile for Kanthal...maybe named 'Power Cntrl'...if not, you might want to set one up, but the DNA will sense a non temp wire & switch to power mode...and there is a cheat that someone figured out to add pre-heat for Kanthal...it can be tricky, you may have to fiddle with it, but it does work..../topic/65540-topic/
  3. 28.3 Wh...it's in the file name, so I wouldn't forget...
  4. I have been running my Triade set up that way since day one! You can play with those settings & find what works best for you. I prefer to bring the coil temp up fast & then let the board do it's thing... Go to 'Options>Interface' and select 'Manufacture'
  5. You can try...I believe its in the firmware...but I could be wrong...
  6. Well, I have a Triade & the resistance on it came out to .003 Edit: And the Therion 166... .004
  7. After the first vape, the coils are now warm & the board can see the temp...if you raise your preheat, it will heat the coil faster...
  8. Just keep it clean & the coils tight...
  9. Good tight connections & everything clean...very important...glad you got it fixed...
  10. Great tool to have...but you are going to probably going to have an issue on the 250...IIRC, they don't read dead short below .007...found a quazi work around for it...you can read about it here.../topic/65594-topic/?do=findComment&comment=886264....starts on page 5, post #75 on...basically you set your mod resistance to 0 & upload to device. Install a coil of know resistance, pulse the fire button to set the resistance in the device & then run the analyzer...you will probably have to let the coil cool for a bit first...and it will help if you set you pre-heat, power, etc. as low as possible to prevent the coil from getting to warm...not an exact science, but it works...you will see in the photos
  11. I would recommend running the case analyzer when you have time...every mod is slightly different, even same brand/model...I have 3 Skar 75's & each one has different case thermal values...did it come with the mod resistance set?
  12. I use 2.8 on my 250
  13. Awesome......that looks really good...I believe you had the power in your profile set to low, which was not allowing the board to raise the temp of the wire fast enough, so the board thinks it is non-temp wire & switches to power mode. On my Triade, I have the power set at 250...preheat at 250...punch at 11 for 3 secs...bring the coil up to temp fast & let the board do it's job...in the 'Mod' tab, you set your kanthal power limit lower in case it does shift to power mode, then it won't cook yer lips.. The beauty of these devices is, you can play & adjust to find what works best for you.
  14. Because contact coils, where coils are touching, can cause problems with resistance readings which will cause device to not work correctly, especially with SS316L Edit: Have you tried building a lower ohm coil?
  15. Only tick the boxes referred to...turn others off & fire it again
  16. Temp Protected means the device is firing in Temp mode & has hit the temp you have it set at...not an error, but a message..
  17. The file in post #14 will work...
  18. Its turning to power mode because the board is not seeing enough temp rise of the wire...you need to double check all connections make sure everything is clean & tight..what kind of coil & wire are you using? contact coil or spaced coil?
  19. Raise the power setting in your profile...you are limiting the board to only 20 watts...kinda like a governor on an engine...on Device manager...tick off..Power, Power Set, Temperature, Temperature Set, Cold & Live Ohms...
  20. go to your profile...there is a box to check beside 'Temperature-Dominant'...check that & upload to device Edit: can you post a screen shot of your profile?
  21. Temperature mode is completely different from wattage mode...as @retird said...you can vape in watt mod until you get comfortable with your device & then learn temperature mode...factory wattage mode on the inbox is profile #6
  22. Try this...set preheat to 75w..punch to 11 for 3 seconds....power to 75w @ 230c
  23. Off means it is switching from 'Temp' mode to 'Power' mode...check all connections...clean 510 on mod & attomizer with alcohol...clean battery terminals inside mod...
