After I get these next two mods built I think I will take the time to learn some new skills Before you go investing in a printer, I would recommend checking out a printing service like 3Dhubs.com Very inexpensive, I've printed quite a few enclosures in the past for other projects through them. Tons of suppliers on there so they are very competitive with prices generally costs me $15-$20 delivered AUD for a enclosure. Fantastic service, I was considering purchasing a printer myself... but honestly I just wouldn't use it enough to justify the purchase.
67exec
@gizman, I didn't find a battery by my prefered manufacturer to fit your bill. My dislike for Maxamps came from my rc experience running my 15lb monster. 3 separate times I had Maxamps 4s lipos crap in less than a month, plus they couldn't deliver the amperage I needed from packs rated 3x what the max of my esc is. SPC Racing was my brand of choice until they closed up shop, now turnigy seems to be the only packs that can reliably feed my beast and hold up for over a year. It's a nitro revo converted to electric. Mamba xl extreme esc with datalogging, castle 1717 motor from XO-1, diffs from a losi xxl, and 1/4" keystock with impact wobble sockets for driveshaft.

I am sorry to hear you haven't had good luck with them. Very impressive, good lord that thing is insane! I haven't been in it since the early 90s, my dad and I built some badass machines for what it was back then. Mad respect though, beautiful beast!
67exec
On 4s, with a phone inside for GPS speed, she'll do 62mph before she goes airborn. That's about 3/4 throttle.😎 she can pull 2 5yr olds in a wagon for an entire parade route on a single 5000mah 4s batt with power to play at the end

I have been wanting to buy, build or get built a DNA75 (or perhaps now a 75C) Single 26650 Tube Mod but have had no luck finding anything remotely like it. I was looking at trying to buy an existing SS VV or VW MOD which already had cutouts of a similar size but even finding one of those has been difficult. There was one released a couple of years ago (Can’t remember it’s name or the maker, some Chinese mob I’d never heard of I think) but I can’t find anyone who still has one...perhaps I’d be better looking at getting one designed & “Printed”? Hey Bud If you are looking for a kit to build a 75c? Here a pretty good deal, you can get every thing you need in one kit http://analogboxmods.ca/Box-Mod-Kits/DNA75-Kit You have several options, I build an ABM1 with a FD 510, a ABM battery sled & external chip mount. It's a nice small sized box that fits a 21700 battery. Here's a few pics of mine Thats a Hana Mod DNA200 beside it for scale You can Email Them with Questions before you order, if you need Help Dan even has some nice YT videos to Help along the way https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y1wwcn39EiI

Hi It's 14.8 watt hours :) Compare this to 10.5 watt hours with a FullyMax 950. It's pretty good :) I would say equivalent to dual 18650's, :)

It's pretty good I would say equivalent to dual 18650's, Assuming 2600MaH dual 18650's, you would be looking at ~18.7 watt hours, 3000MaH dual 18650's would be roughly 21.6 watt hours, if you could find a 1300MaH 4S that would fit it would give you about 19.2 watt hours which would be a closer comparison, or an 1800 3S would be about 20 watt hours. The 1000MaH 4S I ran for about a month would sometimes need charged by the time I got home from work, for me and my habits anyways, the 1300MaH 4S and the 1800MaH 3S both pretty much get me all day with a full charge in the morning, just like dual 18650's used to. I understand the numbers It seems to me that a good 18650 (VTC5) would give as good or better Watt Hour rate as a Fully Max 950. But in reality, with low ohm high watt vaping like I do, the Fully Max gives Me better performance & run time. I find the same thing with the 4S 1000mAH lipo in my 250c. With my Vaping style the 4S 1000mAH will give me approximately the same run time as dual 18650's, even if the numbers would say different

Ironic that sometimes numbers DO lie

Spector NS5 RD
@kwfranklin88 The mileage with a fully charged lipo is as expected for a 4s 1500 mAh lipo, not as long as you'd think with a lipo that size but my main reason for getting such a high C discharge rated lipo was so i wasn't stressing the lipo, regardless of my set wattage. I'm sacrificing vape time for a higher discharge. There's barely any voltage sag even at a 300w preheat. I figured overkill on the lipo so i never have to replace it.
steamer861
For those of you's who may be looking to build a more pocket friendly sized, lipo powered 250c mod. This may be a solution for you I built this mod with a silo75c enclosure https://www.protovapor.com/product/silo-dna-75c-billet-aluminum-dna-mod-case/ a source 510 & a FullyMax 950mAH lipo. This enclosure was intended for a 75c! So with out some internal modification a 250c will NOT! fit. The main issue is the space for the chip, as the 250c is 2mm wider. The button fitment & usb fit perfectly, once you remove the extra material for the chip to fit in place. I used a dremel, & it was a lot of work! If some one has access to a milling machine it would be a piece of cake Also note, space management gave me a choice of a better quality 510 (source) or an xt30 connector. I choose the live battery connection & the better 510. If how ever you would choose a Varitube 510, there would be adequate room for an xt30 battery connector See size comparison to a Silo 950, older dna 250, but same size battery 2
HPloco
Went the shape way route, fit like a glove. Max Amp changed their battery size and it still fits. A bit too snug for my preference but with a 4S I don't think I'll have to worry too much if the battery puffs. My soldering skills on the other hand are a bit rusty.

Perhaps if I start on something a little cheaper & safer. I love my beat up old DNA 75 MODs, but am sick of having to change the 26650 twice a day, perhaps I should start with a DNA 75 with either duel 26650s or a decent sized LiPo??? Not hard to do at all, if you have a good soldering iron and good eyesight to make sure you don't bridge any connections. Before you do anything, make sure you educate yourself on proper soldering techniques, and use quality materials.
