  1. Hey, thanks Bill!!! I'll give it a try. Cool looking too!
  2. It drops down to like. 05 to .01A at the end. I know that's how balance chargers work, I'm talking about the charge rate from 3.2V up to 4.0V per cell. I was thinking it might be a bad charging cord, I'll try a few more, but that same cord charges my DNA 250 @2A with no problems. I'm looking for a theme that shows charge rate, I may already have one in my downloaded themes already. I can only get 1A out of the USB ports on my laptop.
  3. At full charge, voltages are 4.20, 4.20, and usually two will only charge to 4.19. Sometimes, only one will charge to 4.19 on my external balance charger.
  4. I'm sure that the onboard charger is not charging properly. 1 hour plugged in, and it's only at 38%. If I use an external charger at 2A, it takes roughly an hour. Anyone have any idea as to what the problem might be? I notice that the USB plug gets very warm, as well as the XT60 connector where the board connects to the battery, but only when using the onboard charger. I use a Samsung phone charging block to charge the mod, which cranked out 2A just fine when charging my DNA 250 (non color). I use a Turnigy Accucel 6 balance charger and the battery is a Turnigy Nanotech 2.2 mAh 4S.
  5. I don't see any pics. Did you get this wireless charging to actually work?
  6. Yes, there is a lot of low budget junk out there, I learned that the hard way. Then, when the Vaporshark DNA 60 hit the market, I bought one and never looked back. Been using the Evolv Chipset ever since, and rarely have a problem with them. No one wants plain jane box mods, so have been looking into custom engraving and wraps, but after all is said and done, breaking even would be about all you could do, if you're lucky. Good luck!!!

Perhaps if I start on something a little cheaper & safer. I love my beat up old DNA 75 MODs, but am sick of having to change the 26650 twice a day, perhaps I should start with a DNA 75 with either duel 26650s or a decent sized LiPo??? Not hard to do at all, if you have a good soldering iron and good eyesight to make sure you don't bridge any connections. Before you do anything, make sure you educate yourself on proper soldering techniques, and use quality materials.
  8. Analog Box Mods has some great enclosure options for repurposing that 250C.
  9. Nice work! I have been tossing around the idea of building and selling, but unsure, since markets are so unstable right now.
  10. Enclosure: ABM DNAC NX DNA 250 Chipset My first attempt at building, and this thing is HUGE! 2200MAH Turnigy Nanotech 4S 25-50C It's a handful, but I'm slowly getting used to it. 400W of power that I'll most likely never use, but it's there if I need it. Pay no mind to the temporary rubber strips between the battery and chip, those are in there until I can put the velcro strips in to hold and secure that monster of a battery.
  11. Thank you kindly, sir. What a rookie mistake...jeez.
  12. Just built this mod, brand new Turnigy 4S lipo, initially charged to 100% but after charging again, onboard USB charger cuts off at 90%. All cells balanced at 4.0V, total voltage is at 16.3V. I can't figure it out.
  13. 99.5 percent of the time, it's the user that is lacking knowledge about their equipment, as opposed to the products being bad. Like any other type of electronics, they are not perfect.
  14. Evolv's customer service is the best in the business, as far as I'm concerned. I bought a brand new Lost Vape EfusionDNA 200 3 years ago, and when the board went south a year later, Evolv replaced it at no charge. When the second board went south a couple weeks ago, it technically was not under warranty because it was an RMAd replacement. Filed an RMA and offered to pay for it, since I thought that was going to be the case. Evolv not only replaced it for free, but upgraded me to a DNA 250 at no charge! ALL my mods will be DNA all the way from here on out because of their great customer service. They stand firm in their products and service! If your lipo is loose inside the mod, just use some foam tape to snug it up inside the case.
