Veles Posted September 17, 2015 Author Report Posted September 17, 2015 So i build dual coil with Ni200, 0.3mm(28AWG), 8 wraps around 2.3mm drill bit.Down below is my set up from eScribe.I'm getting an insane dry hits at wattage far below then set on eScribe- I've tryed to go down at 40W, still dry hits. If I do 120W coils start to glow red while device is displaying "temperature protected".
VapingBad Posted September 17, 2015 Report Posted September 17, 2015 Don't lock the ohms, take it off, fire the mod, refit with the atty cool.
Veles Posted September 17, 2015 Author Report Posted September 17, 2015 Unlocked ohms, set up and how works.
VapingBad Posted September 17, 2015 Report Posted September 17, 2015 Hard to tell how bad from a photo, it looks like a very hot spot on the closest coil, be even so it looks bad. Try something simpler like a single spaced coil. Also check the mod resistance has not been set to something silly in Escribe like > 0.02 ohm.
Veles Posted September 21, 2015 Author Report Posted September 21, 2015 If I try to fire a dry coil it burns out. It shouldn't happen, it shouldn't even glow.
Mad Scientist Posted September 21, 2015 Report Posted September 21, 2015 In addition, from the photos, you have the temp set to 250 degree C. That's hot enough to burn cotton.Try 210 degrees C or less and see if the results differ.
blueridgedog Posted September 22, 2015 Report Posted September 22, 2015 Looks like a hot spot or area that is shorting.

Mad Scientist Posted September 25, 2015 Report Posted September 25, 2015 The entry under history looks peculiar. Those are not English characters.
VapeSnobNY Posted September 27, 2015 Report Posted September 27, 2015 IF i read right... your dry firing a ni200 build? NO. BAD. Also, spacing with nickel is a MUST. Just my 2 cents.

Azzitude Posted November 9, 2015 Report Posted November 9, 2015 open device monitor and hit record -save filename- hit the mod a few times with the boxes checked in the picture And see if the Temp (red) is moving to the set temp or not .... screen shot it and post it here, attach the saved file which should be a .csv file
turbocad6 Posted November 10, 2015 Report Posted November 10, 2015 I'd say try a single spaced coil first. this will show you that the chip is working as it should, then try duals but make sure they are exactly the same and not shorting by keeping the wraps slightly spaced, the coils really need to be balanced well to each other to function properly
