combatwombat
Too bad more than 2 months for a small screen, but I will wait because my xvostick needs escribe, as I switched to SS coils. I hope the buttons line up and everything because I wouldnt want to chop on it although its beat up anyhow. Has anyone done a xvostick replacement yet? Vap3on
Does anyone know when the DNA 60 will be available in Europe? I Was told October now we are in the middle of November is it likely it will before 2017?

Lots of de-soldering though from the daughter board but would be worth it for the Zip charging.
Austin Green
Still waiting for a small screen DNA60 to appear in a U.K retailer, all the webshops say "due october"... and were at the end of November now..I'm in the middle of retro fitting my silver Hana V3, FDV v4 & Mitec button fitted. fingers crossed this comes out soon :-/
TonyB
I'm waiting for some new mods to appear. I guess the board is not widely available yet.@turbocad6 - That is exactly what I want! Small DNA60 Squonk mod. That looks amazing.
disk0
I have a couple of boards on the way to the UK, not too bothered about the USB for charging or themes.Would it be possible to transplant this into a big screen DNA 40 squonker? Modbustersecig
Use some input I recently got a vapor flask I'm wondering if A DNA 60 board could be fited anybody with any input I'm not familiar at all with the DNA 40 and much less the DNA 60 thanks
Spector NS5 RD
rDNA 40 with a DNA 60 stuffed inside. (this is not a simple direct transplant. there is moderate modding, repositioning of "stuff" and tedious soldering needed, especially if you want EScribe to work with Vaporshark's daughter board.) greenj22
How did you get EScribe to work through the daughter board? Are you using the VS USB and getting the 2 amp charging?

Is the +5v another one of the pins right on the USB connector as well? Been thinking of doing the same, and haven't gotten everything desoldered to take a look at the daughter board itself. Sorry, if this is dumb. But solder it directly to the ceramic capacitor? Edit: Also meant to add, or to one of the pin holes next to the capacitor? Spector NS5 RD
@joelhammonds - yes, the positive side of capacitor. those pin holes are vias don't concern yourself about those.another option is this pin of the charging IC, it's all on the same circuit, whatever is easier. TBH and don't get offended, if you're not that familiar with circuits or soldering this can end up being a very difficult modification and a big headache. i didn't mention this but i also had to grind away an aluminum post for the DNA 60 to fit. No offense taken, cause honestly I'm not all that experienced, but I'm thinking I'm gonna give it a shot anyway. And I've opened it up and kind figured it would need some internal modification based on the specs of the new board. I'm going for a high risk learning experience. Haha. Spector NS5 RD
here's another pic of the install. you can sort of see where i connected the 10k res to on the daughter board. it may help some......FYI, you need to install the screen ribbon to the DNA 60 before soldering mating the two boards. i also removed the DNA's up and down buttons (not the entire button, just unclipped the actuators).
