Does the "warmth" meter under ATTY match your main screen meter when being used?  Mine doesn't seem to update or match between the two when in use.

Also I added a condition that allows the profile area on the main screen to also update when scrolling through the other options (ATTY, MENU, LAST PUFF etc.).  After doing this I get a toggle that reads OHMS.  Which is coming from the area under the center bar.  The odd thing is it doesn't highlight when scrolling nor does it provide a function when I have it selected.  I then removed the function for updating the profile area to see if I caused it and I still have the extra selection (counted button presses since it doesn't highlight.).

Yah they match, I just verified this. They display and manipulate the same variable so they shouldn't report different values. Were you looking at the punch/boost gauge by mistake? They're right next to each other and it's very easy to confuse them. Reorganizing the atomizer profile screen is #1 on the to-do list.

I just checked and there are no fields with a status "OHMS".  Not sure you're seeing :/

    I like the Material-ish too.....

I do have one thing that may need changing on both UI's.  When Playing you can select the wattage shown right under the Red Gauge and you can change the wattage while Playing.  I selected it and dropped the wattage from 22 to 5 and this effected Playing by reducing the vape drastically.   Playing, I think, should remain as it was initially set.  Is their a purpose for being able to select that wattage and to change it while Playing?

As I understand when you save a puff in replay mode you're just saving the temperature. You're feeling out the puff instead of saving an arbitrary temperature value like you do in TC mode. That's why it works best when you save a puff with a fully saturated wick and a relatively cool coil.

So you'd change the wattage in replay mode for the same reasons you change it in TC mode. You turn the wattage up to reach your max temp quickly and let the chip throttle you to your desired temperature. Or you turn the wattage down to use TC as protection from dry hits.

In your case it's working exactly as it should. At 5 watts you're not reaching the temperature you set, so you're pretty much just using VW with dry hit protection.

  2. I like the Material-ish UI on Gauge way more than the UI it had before.

I really want to make this the default, and the old UI the optional one that you can activate from the settings. I feel like many people are not going read the description to figure out there's another variant of the main screen.

My only hesitance is it makes Gauges and Material-ish somewhat similar.

    What do you guys think?

Pardon me Sir Timmy..... I just hit fire button without vaping so I could view the screen and the power does work real time then goes immediately back to 22 watts when releasing the fire button (can't see my screen while vaping).... sorry for the Senior Moment on my part.....  a similar function on a different theme keeps the last live reading on the Main Screen instead of going back to the set wattage in Replay. See if I can find that theme....

    My Color Theme - 0.ecigtheme

Thanks for providing the theme file. I just took at look at it.

The last puff wattage field you're referring to is the average wattage delivered during the last puff. This field is just for your reference in case you suspect something in your vape isn't quite right. You can't manipulate it and it has no function other than analyzing your puffs.

The field that you see on Gauges, including under the purple bar in replay, beside the replay cancel/save button in replay, and the big huge number in all the other modes is the wattage you want the chip to deliver. It updates as you fire to show you if the chip is ramping up or down the power. Since space is limited, and how infrequently the recorded average wattage is needed, I can't put this on the main screen.

It is however in the Last Puff screen accessible by the "i" icon on the main screen. It's the third icon at the bottom from the left. A variation of that field is also available in the "Puff Info" screen, which features a graph that plots all the wattages the chip fired at during the puff. You can fire from both of those screens as well.

    Sorry about the inconvenience :(

Thank you, I might play around with widening the icon....actually was trying to think of something else to put there when in replay.

I'm on a 75c and the red gauge does not update the power in "replay" mode for me either.  When in replay it is displaying the set power and is actually able to be selected and allows it to be changed.  The middle/blue gauge when in replay switches from voltage to the set coil resistance.

Thank you for all of your hard work as this theme is perfect.

That's strange. I'm also on 75c. Can you fire and watch the screen instead of taking a puff? It should update.

  4. @BlindBuck That looks great man! May be you can make the play button wider, to take up the empty space? The icons have to be a little horizontally squished otherwise they appear vertically squished on the mod.

@Vapin Aw thanks man! I really appreciate the support since day 1! All thanks goes to the person who designed Theme Designer. A lot of thought was put on to it and it's so much more powerful than I expected or hoped for!

Nice Theme........ only wish that it would show real time wattage used when in Replay instead of just the set wattage.... on the main screen..... and on the lock screen it could show, when a usb is connected, it would show not only charging but also usb data cable is being used..... in other words a charging symbol and a usb data symbol when a data cable is being used....

Many times I have seen folks saying their device won't connect to EScribe only to find out they are only using a charge only usb cable...

Attached  shows my attempt to show the lock screen modified.... pictures for USB and Data are not really good enough for your excellent theme but you get the idea...

    THX for the nice theme....

Are you on 1.6.0? The wattage field does update when you fire in replay. The field is on the top left corner right under the blue power gauge.

That's a great idea about the USB connection status!

Just released 1.6.1 with an updated lockscreen. I'm using one line of text right now, I hope to replace it with 3 icons that turn on or off depending on which connection type is active. I think that would be more descriptive.

    Hi Timmy !

I really like this theme, it is easy to use and aesthetically pleasing. The only thing that bothers me is that I only use TC and the most important info in the firing screen is the current temp. I was wondering if you could make a variant of the theme with the temp at the place where the wattage is right now and vice versa.

Thank you for this great theme !

    Done!

  6. Just pushed an update (1.6.0) that incorporates some of the UI elements from the Material-ish themes, including a replay warmth gauge on the main screen. Thank you so much @BlindBuck for the awesome idea!

By default the theme will use the old UI. If you want to use the new UI elements go to System > Settings and then enable Material-ish on the mod.

Hats off to Evolv devs, the Theme Designer should really be called UI Builder. It's the most overlooked feature of the DNA chips.

    1.6.0-new.jpg

@Pphish Sorry I couldn't get to your feature request. This and the next update to Material-ish themes took up all of my free time today. I'll try to get it done next week!

@BlindBuck and everyone else feel free to share your customizations here. I'm glad you guys are using my themes and making them even better with your changes. Thank you!

    Glad to help.

Except for #8,  I’ve kept my other profiles in NON Replay mode, since they are all TC related. I also noted that besides that odd temp display field, that when in the PUFF INFO screen, the TEMP “red line” is showing, which I have selected to be ON. along with the POWER “green line”. I assume even while using in Replay mode, that this still allows one to see the temp graph that Replay is using?

Yeah it should still let you see the temp graph. You can't adjust it manually but you can see how the chip is regulating the temp.

Really nice theme, thank you for that. I like all of your three themes.

I just ran into one small problem so far: I would like to adjust my wattage in .1 steps. Is there an easy fix for that?

Thanks a lot and keep up the great work =)

    Greetings from Germany

Edit: found it for myself in the Theme Designer ^^

    Hallo!

I'm glad you found out how to do it! I love that DNA chips let you adjust the steps.

Many people, myself included, can't really tell the difference less than 1 watt apart so I figured that's what I'd set the steps at. Plus it's quicker to adjust wattage this way too :)

Great theme! I’m using the latest, V. 1.1.0. Just trying out the new REPLAY on a Lost Vape Mirage, DNA75C. I setup profile #8 as Replay, with Replay enabled, and coil material as SS316L. Temperature = OFF, Peheat = OFF.

Yet while on Mod screen when in the #8 profile, Replay working, next to the OHM field, is a TEMP field. I’m CONFUSED, I know you can use Replay with TC profiles, but from what I’ve read from various Evolv staff messages on this forum, it’s not recommended and adds unneeded complications. I still have my other profiles for using TC if I like.

So as I’m new to Replay feature, why would temperature be something you can change in your Theme under a REPLAY profile? And how would this effect REPLAY in general, like a saved Replay vape, are these on mod user changed temperature settings saved to Replay. Something odd here, or I’m still not getting all the Inter-relationships between Replay and TC.

    Thanks!

Ahh I see what you mean.

When you're in a replay profile with a temp controlled material, it'll display the temp right next to the resistance on the main screen until you hit "save". From then on it'll display the wattage.

I'll change it so it doesn't display the temp. Even if you adjust the temp it doesn't affect your vape, so it's kind of useless to display temp there for replay profiles. I'll also gray out temp stuff from the atomizer profile screens in replay profiles in the next update.

By the way you can have replay in any profile, it doesn't have to be #8.

Thanks for pointing this out, it totally flew by me :)

Any chance of putting the version number into the comments that show in Theme Designer?
Currently, there is no way I see to determine which version, except to load the latest onto my devices.

Vaping great and looking good doing it!

You can check the "About" screen for the version number of the theme.  The version number is also on the filename.

I'm not sure how to add comments in the Theme Designer. Only place I can see is the credits tab.

  11. Aw thanks guys @Vapin @freshdachs83 @BlindBuck @Mjag @auzideals it really means a lot. You guys make working on these themes fun!

Quick question I am using replay and I see the hidden field in the Theme Designer.  Is there a way to replace the text with icons?

Yeah you'd just show text when it's necessary (display wattage), and hide it in all other scenarios. Set up icons to display at appropriate stages of replay. My other two themes, Material-ish Fire and Material-ish Ocean does replay a little differently when this one is pretty much a re-skin of evolv's layout.

Am I correct in thinking that if the 250C version is loaded on the 75C will enable Replay on the 75C?

DNA75c now supports replay. There's only one theme file now that can be flashed on both chips. Enjoy replay :)

One question. I see temperature reported/displayed when using power replay. I'd rather see voltage/watts/nothing.
At first, I thought I had the profile wrong, in TC mode.

    Should be fixed now :)

Looking forward to the Replay update on the 75c now that the firmware has been released.
This theme is my favorite, thanks!

Looks like you can just flash the DNA250c version of the theme on a DNA75c with the new 1.1 SP33.2 INT firmware.

That is just fantastic! I don't need to maintain two versions of every theme anymore :DD

I'll remove the DNA75c versions tonight, and tweak the few minor things I had planned.

Hey guys I think the screen lock issue is now fixed. I just noticed it happening to my DNA75c recently.

I think the problem was there were too many things on the main screen that were updating and toggling their visibility while firing. That caused a lag and I think that lag caused some of the clicks to not register.

I drastically cut that number down the number of fields that update while firing. The issue seems to be fixed on my DNA75c now. Please let me know if it's fixed for you in version 1.4.2

Thanks for all the feedback :)

I didn't even use the factory theme on my new Paranormal 250c, went straight to this one instead.
I enjoyed it so much on my 75c and the same on the 250c.

One question. I see temperature reported/displayed when using power replay. I'd rather see voltage/watts/nothing.

    Thanks for the great theme!

Aw man thanks! That's a huge complement :)

It should display the voltage if not in a TC profile, even under replay. Are you using 1.0.2?

Hi Tim.  Just tried uploading 1.4 onto the 250c and got an error (see attached).  The size of the preheat toggle on the Main Profile page was set to 15, 16 and the image is 15, 15.  I hope you don't mind, but I've changed it and attached the version with the correct size to match the image to save you a bit of time.

Thank you so much man! I didn't change the toggle in the 75c version so I didn't get that error. I really appreciate you letting me know and providing me with a fixed version :)
