That's correct, we will initially sell the kit. Down the road, we may sell the complete mod in some limited quantities. I can't give you an exact date for the kit but we do have quite a few cases milled at this point.

Actually, MAP's (minimum advertised prices) help protect the small vendors by not allowing companies with large buying power (lower per unit cost) to price the smaller guys out of the market. It also benefits the manufacturer by allowing for a wider distribution. And it benefits consumers by giving more choice in vendors. It also levels the playing field so vendors have to compete on consumer beneficial value added services like fulfillment and support. It is not a perfect system but it prevents those with the deepest pockets from monopolizing.

The 60 minutes or so gives the mod and the atty time to cool to room temperature. During that time the 200 samples the coil to determine if the initial 70 degree resistance is accurate. This goes directly to accuracy of coil temp. Abbreviating that process would likely result in less accuracy.

Yes, it is polling once per second but I haven't noticed the ticking. If you drop back to 7/16 firmware are you still getting the ticking in refinement?

The 200 powers off (hard sleep) after about 1 hour of non use. James can probably give you the exact time.

Yeah, a default of 35% is probably a good idea. Would certainly cut down on the helpdesk emails

I agree, the Ersa's are awesome but pricey. The FX888 is fantastic for the money. We Keep one around as a backup.

If Hana's design is as close to our reference as it looks, I'd say the bullet connectors are about all that will fit and that will be tight.

You should be able to fold the ribbon cable without damage. We put 2 folds in the screen ribbon when assembling the reference mod and have not had any issues. Once folded, you should avoid unfolding it.

Yes, the JST-XH connector ships detached from the board for that reason.

If you look below the fire button you will see 4 small solder pads. Attach a 100 ohm resistor between the 2 pads on the left above the screen-printed 'F'. Resistor link Above the fire button, near the board edge and slightly off to the right, you will see 2 identical small solder pads. Attach your LED there, cathode side toward the middle of the board. That will give you what you want.
