Is it possible to use an wismec DNA200 with no batteries but with an switching PSU ????? I have read that when u use a psu the DNA 200 don't work properly is it that true ????

There is a thread here where they did just that...and a setting in escribe if I recall.

The setting is in the mod tad under Battery Type. One of the choices is Power Supply.

That was Nick's and it was a proper PSU in an ammo box.


There are 2 ways to do this either permanently attach to a 12 V 23+ amp PSU with nothing connected to the balance pins and EScribe set to PSU. Or Leave the settings in EScribe as battery, attach to a 12 V 23+ amp PSU with a resistor across each pair of balance connections (GND-1, 1-2 & 2-3) to mimic the cell voltages and connect the outer 2 balance connections to the main power.
