It should power up without any battery and just connected to the USB. And even if it doesn't power up, you still should be able to upload the firmware again. At least on a Windows machine. I am not sure if that is still true on a Mac.

Oh yeah... I guess not for the mini.

I do get a pretty decent battery life using a high resistance with SS316 (0.35mm don't know what AWG is that)...

I'm still curious on whether the case temperature settings effectively stop charging the device at certain settings. I have the DNA 200 in a Alpinetech g+ box which is pretty common I would think. I'll have to fiddle with this thing some more when I get home.
Yeah, that part I am not sure? Mine is setup this way.
Thermal -> Case USB Charge Temperature Rise: 10°F + 12°F/A
If they are not set, it probably would stop charging until you blow on the board. And my values won't be correct for yours, but it should be good enough to try. -
Under the mod tab in EScribe, if Charging Mode is set to Maximize Recharges, it only charges to 4.10v. If set to Maximize Puffs, it charges to 4.20v.

It is called job security. Now that most of the RX200 are out of warranty, boost their wattage up and let them fry. Then sell them another mod.
-
Locking as in 5 click locking? EScribe's Device Monitor will show you if your fire button is intermittent.
-
This thread probably was inspired by Wismec releasing new firmware (v3.10) a few hours ago for updating the RX200 to a RX250.

Come on... A thread just for updates is really a damn good idea. When Microsoft has updates, do you get notified of every single comment about it? No! That would be just dumb if they did. -
Yes I was just being dramatic, but you get the idea.

Yeah well... we all have certain routines and feel comfortable with them. And when it doesn't work like 95% of the other forums, it feels like your head is banging against the wall. And sometimes you just want it to stop. -

its a win-win-win situation.
You get my vote. -
Well the DNA200 reads ohms from the board, through the mod itself, through the 510, through the atty, and then the coil(s) resistance. Each one is in series and adds up along the way. The DNA200 can be programmed to ignore these resistances, but it must be calibrated to do so.
-
Where are you getting this 0.30 and 0.35 ohm from? What are you reading this from?

I use same cable...but not working...
USB cables usually doesn't last a lifetime. I would try another USB cable just to make sure. -
Is this with v1.0.42?

Hi all, i have problem after updating escribe n firmware to the lastest... My PC won't detect it...it saya usb not recognized I use microsoft windows 7 Anyone have same problem?? How to solve it??
I am too running the latest (1.0.42) and with Windows 7 (I don't do Windows updates unless it is for something I am having a problem with) and I haven't had a single problem. Did you try another USB cable? Careful, some USB cables don't have the data lines connected and only work for charging only. -

Yes of course. But since the invention of the airplane, people could be anywhere on the globe in a day's time. Okay crossing over the International Date Line is technically another day, but you know what I mean. -

also, allways switch the mod off, standard five clicks...
You mean lock, right? As the DNA200 doesn't turn off unless you disconnect the battery. -

i know yer handy with stuff but before you drill, just take a look at 'DJLSB VAPES' on youtube. he dismantles the updated sdna 200 and reassembles it. maybe you can bend up the negative part of the 510 connection to get a wrench or pliers on that brass nut. just putting it out there. hope you get it fixed mike.
Here's the link if you need it. Disassembly starts at 8 minutes into the video.

I don't know what their hours are, but it isn't 9AM there yet and they are probably not even open. Plus they probably have to answer email they got last night too.
Need to do a firmware update
